The Brasserie Terrace at Oakley Court

What a fantastic Sunday Lunch. We were so impressed. The quality of the food was just first rate as was the service.

Lovely food.
Super service.
Value for money...not sure.
Emphasis on website on 'fun' dining rather than 'fine' dining but not sure what this means in practice.

We couldn't have had a nicer sunday lunch than we had at Oakley Court. Good spacing on tables and temperature checks on way in meant we felt safe in these COVID times. Staff were energetic, efficient and eager to please whilst the food was precise, generous and delicious. Would recommend

Food was very good. Food pricing was, as expected, quite high but not unreasonable given the quality. The wine list however contains an abundance of basic and at best average wines for far too much money. My chosen wine was not available, so I went for a basic screw-cap Australian Cabernet at £40, which represents a markup that is extortionate.
The service was very good, with full Covid compliance evident.

Food was OK, service very good. Surroundings were very good.

Amazing Sunday roasts. Recommended.

A stunning location on the banks of the River Thames. To be enjoyed fully you should have lunch outside on a sunny spring, summer or early autumn day. We came for dinner in the evening and we were indoors so the setting was not quite the same but the service was still excellent and the food was really good.

Very attentive and polite staff. The food was excellent, the setting was lovely and overall it was an excellent dining experience.

Top quality food at a reasonable price. Staff all very friendly, and in the current Covid-19 climate they were all wearing appropriate PPE. Overall a lovely meal & experience. We will definitely return!

It was nice to be back at Oakley Court. Slightly surreal for it to be so quiet and the menu was very limited. But the food we had was excellent and the service was really good.

Good lunch experience , Its a shame the staff are dressed very casually, the doorman greeted us in scruffy jeans and trainers ( not very 5 star).

Great service. Food was wonderful. We had the Caesars to start followed by the burger which was amazing. The best dill pickles I have ever tastes in my life. Crème Brule was to die for.

Wonderful dining experience.

Reduced menu offered very little choice, and due to the weather & wind outdoors the plates of pasta went cold extremely quickly.

Also the ambience was slightly ruined by the couple on the next table who brought a dog, took it for a walk on the grass to go to the toilet, and returned to their seats bringing the dog poo bag with them & placing it under their table.
Can’t blame this on the hotel or staff however something should have been said to them or the rules made clear for the benefit of other diners - I was paying to dine at a restaurant not picnicking in a local park.

Limited choice on the menu, but what we had was tasty. Social distancing means the noise level was low, so you can have a conversation without having to strain to hear. Staff at Oakley are helpful and nothing is too much bother. We were booked to sit on the Terrace, but the weather turned cold and wet, so we sat inside.

Very nice food with such a good view of the Thames. The service was excellent even though we kept ordering different things after we thought we had finished, decided on coffee and dessert after paying for our mains.

Had a lovely time at Oakley Court, lovely food and lovely ambience. Would definately recommend this place for a special day. Luckily the weather was beautiful so had a lovely walk around the grounds.

The Terrace is just the most wonderful setting in Berkshire , the service and food is exceptional .

Stunning riverside restaurant, ideal for families as children can freely play on the lawn. Rib eye steak was superb, grilled outside in the BBQ. Definitely worth 1 hour drive from London!
