The service was appalling. Two very young inexperienced staff left on their own without any guidance. I had to get up 4 times during our meal to ask for more drinks and the pudding menu. At one point there wasn’t anyone around to ask. Definitely won’t be going again or in deed recommend The Brasserie. So disappointed ☹️

The food was very tasty and quite reasonably priced - £20 for sea bass and flageolet beans. And Fabulous Chips!! Nice wine by the glass selection too. Service was attentive but not intrusive and we could hear ourselves speak which was a real plus for a friends catch up evening. I was very pleasantly surprised by this restaurant- a real find in Tunbridge Wells where the food offering is mediocre unless you spend quite a lot.

We went on a Friday eve and it was quite quiet, which I find hard to understand due to its location (just off the Pantiles etc). Introduced to a £59 for 2 Steak menu that included swordfish as well as sirloin and fillet steak + a bottle wine (we chose a nice Malbec). Really well cooked and seasoned. Have to say the service was informal and relaxed with a professional edge. Really nice experience and the staff recognised it was my wife’s birthday dinner and treated her to a lovely gluten free brownie dessert. Would definitely return - just wish it had more atmosphere but maybe the quiet setting is what makes it a nice experience for some.

It was our first time eating here and we were really impressed - great quality food with good service and all very reasonably priced. Lovely decor too so it made it a really enjoyable meal out.

Met up with friends for lunch. Food was lovely and received a discount being offered to local residents (letter needed). Lovely friendly waitress. If you are going for a set length of time, be aware that service is quite slow but worth the wait. Would definitely recommend.

Three of us had the fillet steak. I ask for medium rare, my dining companions asked for medium. We were all served medium to well done steaks. Sides advertised included portobello mushroom. We each got a 1/2 of a mushroom each! Our fourth diner ordered sea bass. The portion was tiny! The food tasted nice, no better, no worse and honestly, the portions were miserly!

Surprisingly quiet for a Saturday night and that probably affected the ambience somewhat. We had seabass with Mediterranean veg & new potatoes for the main. It was very good, although 2 fillets would have been nice! The tarte tatin was excellent, but spoilt by ice cream when the menu stated clotted cream. The service was excellent. The menu good be improved by one or two more choices. Overall, pretty good and worth giving a try.
