    The linguine carbonara was to salty to enjoy. The cajum chicken burger was very spicy but enjoyable as long as you like spicy!

    Good food. Good play area outside for children. Seating out or in is good. Service is okay, sometimes slow. Biggest problem was the 1hr 20min delay in getting our food. We were not kept informed and finally were told they had chef shortage. We got a free round of drinks by way of apology, which helped. Will eat here again as food is good & it’s convenient to the marina.

    Very disappointed we have been to the Breeze many times and always enjoyed it. Unfortunately it was an hour and a half before we were served our main coarse and when it arrived half of the meals had been sitting around as we had a hard burger,the pizza wasn't fresh,the chips were cold and the jacket potato skin was hard. The waiters and waitresses were apologetic but if there are delays we should have been informed by a senior member of staff. We were not the only people waiting and chasing for food to arrive.

We like most other restaurants are facing very tough times in recruiting and often left very short staffed.     Had a lovely meal at The Breeze. The food was delicious. The service was good too. It is a lovely restaurant set in the marina. My children also love playing in the park

    Great, but the sound from the kitchen was over the top. The staff in the kitchen were asked three time to turn it down.

    Basically empty when we arrived but took ages for first course to arrive. Disappointing as we had been before when service was excellent. Pavlova for dessert was just a pile of cream and three tiny meringues. Apple crumble was excellent!

    The Breeze Table for 2 on Monday, 1 August 2022 at 15:00 Name: Peter Alsop Confirmation #: 12472 07956880781 Pete.alsop@virgin.net Arrived at your restaurant today with my partner and my dog and sat outside on your decking not knowing you have a wasp issue on your raised decking at the front. When the food and drinks where served a mass of wasps where all over our food and in our drinks. I did speak to a member of staff and they wasn't bothered. You should not be serving food with that issue health and safety, you probably have a nest . A refund should of been given . Make sure a manager looks at this Pete Alsop

We do pride ourselves on our high level of customer service and really do apologise that on this occasion we were unable to resolve the situation. We would have helped you move inside the restaurant as it is very difficult to control these kind of things being by a harbour and open land. I have checked the perimeter of the restaurant and no evidence of a wasp nest was found.

    The service was awful, a bunch of young people who had no training and were very unprofessional. There seemed to be arguing which could be heard by customers. We booked, and were told that we would not have such a wait on food, but still waited an hour for a Ploughman's! We kept asking and had no update, the restaurant was quiet, but still such a wait and a lot of flapping! the food was ok, but the Hunter's Chicken was almost inedible and looked like it had been way over-cooked. The setting is beautiful, but would 100% not recommend eating there.

During your visit we had a few new team members and whilst the restaurant inside was quiet we had a number of customers sitting outside. I do appologise for the wait you had on your meal and am working with the chef to put measures in place to keep wait times to a minimum. I have also communicated yor complaint with the hunters chicken.

    We were offered a tatty paper menu and told they only serve what was on this menu on a Sunday but on the website there was no mention of this. We were disappointed as we had looked before going and all decided what we were having. So three of us picked the Sunday roast (beef) to be told there’s was none left!! One of the party wanted gammon steak which they said they couldn’t do on Sunday it wasn’t on the paper menu!! At this point we decided not to have a meal and left the restaurant and went outside to finish our drinks, at no point were we approached by a member of staff or manager to vent our dissatisfaction at the poor service and menu. We have used the Breeze regularly before covid happened and it was always lovely but after this experience we will not be going again 😤. Also charged us over a pound for a juice carton priced marked 65p. Did get the difference back but that still didn’t make up for the bad service we recieved. Suggest a change of chef and management!!

Due to staffing issues we believe that reducing the menu for the busiest periods would releive the pressures on the kitchen team. Our website has now been updated to reflect these changes. The industry as a whole is suffering with low staff numbers and due to this we have to do all we can to ensure the welfare of the team whilst still opening to serve our customers.     Sundays are probably the worst days because they are busy. They had loads of staff but the new youngsters in black probably didn’t know what they should be doing and the more experienced ones were trying to help but were really busy themselves. We had to find our own menus and there was a long wait even to get a drink - then someone else took the food order, someone else brought the food, another person came and asked what we thought of the food and nobody directed us to the specials board. The fish was pretty over cooked and the coffee machine was awaiting new parts. We’ve been in before for coffee and it’s been great - though that was out of season - and I think probably all it needs is a manager who can grip the chaos and bring some order to what is basically a good venue.

We have had new members join the team but takes time to train each one. A replacement coffee machine has been ordered but due to supply chain issues this has also been delayed. We are working to resolve any issues and on your next visit you will have a much better experience.

    We are regulars at the Breeze and normally we have no problems but this time when we took some German yachting friends for a meal at 4pm Saturday. We waiting for nearly an hour for the meal to appear at the table!! After prompting the staff we still hadn’t had our meal they took action, complementary drinks and the meal turned up 10 mins later. The Breeze wasn’t busy in fact there we only 6 other people in the place. It should be noted that this is not usual for the Breeze normally we get the meal with 20mins or so…did they or the Chef forget us us!!!

    Our booking was mid afternoon and the restaurant was quiet. Our food order was placed within 10 minutes of arriving, a mixed grill, sausage and mash, hunters chicken and a child’s popcorn chicken. Waited 70 minutes for food, and chased, to be told that one of the dishes we ordered (mixed grill) had been dropped so they would need to cook it again. We opted for a jacket potato instead as by this time our toddler was getting grouchy and we didn’t want to wait any longer. The jacket potato had about 10 prawns on it so an insulting replacement for a mixed grill, and the hunters chicken had been cremated and was dry and disgusting. They were sent back. The sausage and mash and the child’s meal were fine, but after waiting an hour and 20 minutes, 2 edible meals out of 4 is really not good enough. We were refunded for the inedible meals, but for a large restaurant in the height of the summer season our experience was truly shocking. We left with 2 hungry adults, and as an island resident who has eaten here regularly, I will never be returning!

    A very short notice arrangement made us book the Breeze. We had been before so knew what to expect. Needed close to restaurant parking and disabled access for an elderly relative, both were available. Fortunately a table for four was available, easily reserved via the web site from a mobile phone. Meet and greet was pleasant and efficient, table was clean and prepared. Table drinks service was explained with reasonably fast service. Food service was delayed slightly as the chefs were relatively new but no real problem. Food was of a high standard and of very good value for money. I would have no hesitation in considering the Breeze for a return visit or recommending to friends.

    6 Diners, meals came out at a very slow rate from 1st to last, Items missing from meals that we were not told about at time of ordering, meal sent back as to cold to eat when sauce arrived. Sauce and food spilt over our friends when plates cleared away. Our food was good when it arrived, just shame about service. Overall not a good experience, considering it was 2pm on a Monday and the restaurant was very quiet.

    The food was awful we both had roast dinner . My turkey was so dry it was stuck to the plate . Roast potatoes rock hard vegetables total mush my husband had beef roast. Very fatty beef rock hard potatoes and mushy veg I had chocolate brownie whi h was dry chocolate sponge .worst food I've had

    I booked table for 4 yesterday lunch time.I requested a table inside as the forecast was rain however when we arrived friends were seated inside as requested .I asked if it was possible to sit outside as the sun decided to come out. It was no problem, also waitress carried the drinks out. Food was very nice and well presented . Good value for money. It was a busy time of day so it was quite noisy however you have to expect that on a holiday island .Waitress very polite, made us feel very welcome. Booked to return next week

    Food was ok. Chilli was a bit like a mud pie, rather sad looking. Waitresses took plates away whilst some of the party were still eating then failed to remove the last plate for quite a while. Need some training. Shame really as wuitecs nice venue in s love location. Make the most of it with good service!

    Sat outside so ordered and paid for meal at the bar. Order came after one hour, but one meal was incorrect, that then took another 10 minutes to arrive. Tried to order deserts from the App but it said order at the bar. Been here many times but this experience has put us off returning!

    We had 2 very attentive drinks waiters , yet it still took 30mins to receive our drinks. One drink was completely forgotten about. It took over half an hour to receive our food once ordered, and again one meal was forgotten about (mine), which arrived nearly 15mins later. The food was adequate, but not as good as we've had before. At the end of the night it took ages to get a coffee and a soft drink. I asked a waiter for the bill, as he asked if he could get us anything, but it never arrived, and he started doing something else. Not the best of experiences, but unusual compared to previous visits. Not sure if it was down to waiting staff, or others.

    We were staying at Whippingham and treating some friends to Sunday lunch. The room was extremely noisy so it was very difficult to hear conversations. I ordered roast pork but when my meal arrived I had been given lamb which I do not like. I told the waitress and took the meal away. Brought back the same meal with some of the lamb removed and replaced by port but still some lamb remaining on the plate. There was no attempt to offer a replacement plate of food. The meal was deleted from the bill after I complained a second time. Service was okay to start with but once the main course was finished it was very difficult to find anyone to help us. Shame really because it is in a really good location. Just not enough attention to detail.

    I really enjoy eating out at The Breeze. It is such a comfortable atmosphere, great seating arrangements, and the food is lovely. I always recommend it to my visitors when they are on the Island. So far, I have heard no complaints from any of them.

    The risotto had far to much sauce a risotto should not be floating, also my husbands pie was only luke warm.
