Lovely food & felt very comfortable with measures taken by staff
A lovely welcoming evening with friends. Hope to return soon.
Very nice meal. Always constant in standard which is important that you can rely on good food and service every time you visit .
We were made to feel welcome & safe during these difficult times. The owner had gone the extra mile to met government guidelines. The service & food was excellent. We shall come again.
Really missed not having roast beef on the menu, had been looking forward to it, although the roast pork was tasty.
Pleasant pub with good servers and good quality food.
Great Place and good food and value for money. Service is very good and friendly
This is a "proper" pub. No pretensions in the decor, furnishings etc or food. Just generous, hot, well cooked lunches, served in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Don't expect haute cuisine or 20 different types of craft anything, but they have a good range of well-kept beers. Not too keen on the marquee-type covering to the front, but that's a response to Covid, so I guess it will come down when we get through the crisis.
Great as always
We love going to the Bricklayers Arms.
Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, excellent food & excellent service.
Varied & interesting menu.
We always look forward to our next visit
It was very good. Not so keen on my choice this time but not the fault of the pub. I should have chosen something different. We always enjoy our time there though.
Another wonderful meal with great food and service. Covid arrangements are brilliant and we felt safe at all times.
Always the best, friendly every time. Makes the other pub in Chipstead look amateur
A lovely meal, value for money and good service. Will be going again
An excellent meal, very friendly and helpful staff and good value. All in all a very enjoyable experience
As always very nice. Food good and service good. very friendly and pleasant Staff.
I have eaten here several times and always enjoy browsing the changing choices on the daily menu. The staff are friendly and attentive, the food tasty - vegetables, in particular, are well cooked. Covid precautions are in place and easy to follow.
Best mussels I have tasted this side of the Channel. The night we went was a mussel themed night with mussels cooked in a variety of six ways. We chose the classic Moules Mariniere which came with fries and freshly baked bread, washed down with a reasonably priced bottle of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc and followed by a sharing cheeseboard.
All for under £60. What's not to like?
Very good. Making a real effort under difficult circumstances.
The Bricklayers always great! But we did make a request for bday candle on the dessert which I spoke with Jess and she will organise but when we ordered dessert there is no candle, a bit dissapointed really... especially when you let them know in advance.
As good as always with the added advantage of being very very organised with regards the current virus situation. By far the safest pub I have been to in recent months. Hats off the staff. Thanks
Great place for weekday lunch. Pub at heart of community, would thoroughly recommend
A relaxed evening with staff and customers following the rule. Friendly service and delicious food. Highly recommend
Very enjoyable lunch in comfortable surroundings. The food was very good
Lovely location, excellent organisation in these difficult times and the food was brilliant. Great variety great taste and way above the quality normally expected for a pub. Make sure you book early to avoid disappointment. Oh the beer is first class too.
Yummy Sunday lunch - first time inside since re-opening, as it’s a bit chilly now for eating outside. Impressed by the staff and the care to ensure everyone was seated and served safely
The menu is excellent and the Harvey’s is too! Always good.
Staff were very friendly....in what at the moment is a strange time. Food excellent, dropped one star for ambiance only because of the situation at the moment, I'm sure in normal times that would be five stars. Setting is lovely just across the road from a lake. Would definitely go back and recommend.
Brilliant food, specials were very tasty and great service
Would highly recommend, they have put in place everything they can to make it covid safe. I felt reassured and had a fantastic meal. The food is wonderful.xx
Great food and great service. The home made specials are special. We had the fish pie and minced beef short crust pie. A bit salty but still good.
The service was superb. Staff could not do enough for us and we’re flexible with the accomplishments.
COVID 19 safety measures were strictly observed. I will be back.
There were plenty of staff. I ordered a beer and the Waitrose forgot and served others at the table. The manager failed to give me a credit card receipt and just walked off
Excellent food, excellent service - would highly recommend
good simple pub food Reasonable priced and well presented
Excellent food, beautifully presented. Attentive, polite and correct service throughout. Great care taken with Covid-19, felf very safe and comfortable
The best pub meal in Sevenoaks. Good beer, staff and setting. They take all the right measures to deal with social distancing and cleanliness. A great local pub to support.
Great outside sitting area at the front overlooking the lake. Very relaxing and
felt perfectly safe. The staff were very
efficient and wiped down the tables after each customer had left.
Will miss sitting there when the weather changes!
Nice sunny day, we sat outside on the village green, having booked a 2.30 pm lunch session. Helpful staff were quick with menus, then into the bar to order & pay, and then a short wait before the food arrived Food was well up to their usual standard.
Wonderful traditional pub, good food, lovely setting on the green outside and taking Covid restrictions very seriously. Extremely well organised and credit to the staff who work there
Great covid measures!
