    Booked via open table but the restaurant didn’t have our booking when we turned up and tried to seat us outside as they had other bookings. The food is not great, just fried and topped not really cooked fresh. Drinks were nice and decor is nice. Lots of locals who are not socially distancing. Would not recommend this place

    The menu was far too limited - felt like a fast food restaurant. The service left a lot to be demanded. Waitresses are trying to avoid any kind of contact. The food that was served was ok.

    Booked a table for 6 friends anniversary meal , to be given a small round table , a sofa & low stools to sit at . Table not big enough to eat at . Was offered an additional table for 3 to sit at with 3 high bar stools and a high table for 3 to eat at . Reservation was for 3 couples all wishing to sit together at a table . Was just told ‘ that’s all there is ‘ . Poor booking system & lack of appropriate service , so had drink and phoned a nearby restaurant where we enjoyed a lovely meal

    We had an excellent supper, served by a charming and very friendly waitress. It was a very welcome find in Ashley Cross where so many restaurants boast they are good value for money and they are not. The Bricklayers would certainly tempt me back.
