Lovely venue. Characterful pub with VERY nice food.
Definitely much higher class than your average pub food. Worth travelling to get to
On 20th March we celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary with our youngest daughter and son-in-law. There was a warm welcome, the food was very good and so were the drinks. We had a great evening and would recommend it to friends and family.
A very nice lunch. Beetroot soup very nice. Roast beef also very nice.
A warm welcome, as always. Superb service, ambiance and delicious food.
Wonderful evening enjoyed with friends. Beautiful place, outstanding food, exceptional service and a friendly relaxed atmosphere from all. Recommend highly and will definately be back to try more of the wonderful food.
Such a lovely place to spend an afternoon. We had a great time and the staff are really helpful. The food was delicious and the kids menu is good and reasonably priced.
Excellent food, friendly staff and a beautiful building, tastefully refurbished.
Returned to the 'Bell, this time for lunch, four of us thoroughly enjoyed the ambience, the hospitality and the food. I just wished there was a little more choice although not being a fish fan didn't help. Whilst a little 'out of the way' it is worth the effort, everyone seems so relaxed and comfortable yet work so hard to make each visit an occasion for all their clientele .
Another excellent meal at the Brisley Bell, met up with two good friends for a natter and glass of wine, lunch was fabulous, short rib with rice and veg, The beef fell off the bone so yummy. I took the bones home for my dogs which they are still enjoying lol. Dessert for me was cheese cake with lemon curd and my friends had cream brulee rounded off with a cup off coffee. all in all a really scrummy meal.
We are regulars at The Bell. As a former waiter Im difficult to please. Service always pleasant and on the ball but several times they have inflated our bill with other people's orders. Also staff should not dive straight in talking over customers conversations-its rude. There are subtle ways staff can make make their presence felt
However above all its a lovely authentic pub which is a credit to the owners
i took my mum for mummys day and al though she struggles with walking and uses a stick it was easy accesss for her with a seating section at every turn for her to rest if needed and the staff were extremely through at their job ....... would recommended this restaurant to young and old as a good time is had by all.......
My sister and I took our mum for lunch. It was lovely. We had drinks by the open fire and were shown to another area with a fire near our table. Food was excellent, staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The renovation on the property is gorgeous. Can't wait to return in the summer.
We visited the Bell for Sunday Lunch with parents and thought the greeting was genuine and welcoming. Our table was ready ahead of time and the staff were very attentive and friendly.
There was a good choice on the Menu and when food arrived it was plentiful and hot. The surroundings were very pleasing to the eye and we felt that our lunch was all that we could have wished for, we will be back again soon!
Absolutely one of the best meals I have ever had. The staff are so friendly and professional. The restaurant itself is amazing. So much character with open fires. I would definitely go back again.
Met up with a friend - great food & great staff - perfect
Fantastic food and service. Staff were welcoming, nothing was to much trouble .
Excellent setting with very friendly staff. Food first class and service relaxed but attentive. Sat in the snug which was very comfortable. Will be back again soon.
Excellent family meal - delicious food and a very helpful waitress. I’d highly recommend eating here.
Lovely friendly pub. Food delicious.... a bit more expensive than other venues. Good for all occasions. Good beer and cider.
Valentines was great - I got lots of Brownie points!
Just been for our 10th or 11 th visit to 'The Bell' and as usual it didn't disappoint. Friendly staff and great food in a relaxed and unpretentious atmosphere. Going again in a couple of weeks, this time for Sunday lunch...... Can't wait !
Amazing as always. We have been to Brisley bell several times now for either an evening meal or Sunday lunch. It takes some beating.
Superb meal , nice setting with lots of space good menu choices 😊
Great food, staff seemed a little bit rushed at times. However, this didn't detract from the overall experience. A fantastic Norfolk country pub. I would recommend it to everyone.
We like the Bell because it's stylish, friendly and serves good food. Also love the area.
Had a lovely long lunch with some girl friends I had not seen for a while. The food was fabulous, we were not rushed. We sat around had a few drinks catching up. My friends both had the Cod in a sea food sauce with mussels and prawns it looked amazing and they gave it a 10/10. I had the scampie and chips with home made tartar sauce it was scrummy. We all had the orange bread and butter pudding with icecream that was good too, with a real orange taste and bits of orange. I recomend you visit soon.
Our third visit for Sunday lunch, fabulous food as always.
The food and service were excellent for a pub. All of our table of 6 considered the meal to be the best Sunday lunch any of us had experienced and we are well traveled. A very enjoyable experience; we will be back.
Warm and welcoming. Great ambiance, excellent food only slightly let down by appearance of the veggie option.
I really enjoy eating here, it is one of my favourite places. The ambience is lovely, staff very attentive without being intrusive and the food excellent with decent sized portions. My only minor quip is that the main courses are very meat based and there is only one fish dish and one vegetarian dish on the menu so little choice for vegetarians/fish eaters. The starters, however, had a delightful selection so maybe a way around it would be to offer some starters with a main as an option next to it.
Outstanding service, and very helpful staff.
Food outstanding and great quality.
Will see you again very soon.
Our second visit to the bell, amazing food as always and a lovely gin selection! Yum yum , friendly staff and good atmosphere highly recommended x
Wonderful service, attentive but not obtrusive, great choice on menu, beautifully cooked we have lived here 30 years and this is as good as it gets!
What an awful experience for an anniversary, to be sat underneath a dartboard in the bar, with awful chair's, a wonky table not big enough to take the size of plates and so noisy that we had to shout at each other to have a conversation. The evening was a present /voucher, which when we came to redeem, we were left standing at the bar for nearly ten minutes waiting for the only employee who knew how to redeem it. With no apology. Do not wish to return and will warn others.
Very friendly staff welcomed by owner and shown round and the changes that they have made and we were very impressed all staff were very attentive and helpful my wife is diabetic and they made every effort to get her meal on time the food was very good the steak was tip top will certainly go again. Our thanks to the staff.
Compact, but perfectly formed menu. Superb quality food with great service.
The pub itself is very quirky, whilst retaining a country pub feel
Will definitely go back
Went to the Bell when I saw that it had won Norfolk pub of the year award. Booked via open table, all went very smooth. Having been in the trade for most of my life I appreciate having a small menu, which I was taught was a sign of the food being fresh and made on site.(be suspicious of large menus). The four of us enjoyed our meals and the portions about the right size to manage three courses. Staff excellent cost about right. Would go again.
Amazing food, pub is gorgeous, it snowed while we were there and we were snuggled on the sofa by the fire, just Lovely!
We visited Brisley Bell to celebrate our friends birthday. None of us had been since the refurbishment and change of ownership. Wow!!! We couldn't believe it, it was amazing to see what had been done. Several different room areas to eat which all had their own style and feel.
We sat in what was originally the old dining room, this was lovely and cosy as there was an open fire close by. The food was amazing! Some of us had starters which were all delicious. The Sunday roast was Amazing, the piece of beef was delicious! We couldn't manage dessert but the children both chose sticky toffee pudding which was pure delight! This is a place where we will be returning very soon! The staff were all great too, helpful, cheerful and polite! Well done Brisley Bell, may you have another successful year as you have your first.
Delicious food, great, friendly service. We’ll definitely be coming back
