We had a nice lunch service was very slow, we noticed on a wall board advert for newyears eve 8 till 11pm stovies for£ 7.50 free if you bought any bottle of wine good deal we booked were told to come at 8pm as kitchen will close at 9pm, we arrived at 8pm were seated ordered a bottle of wine only to be told the stovies were not ready, at 9.15pm we got our stovies which looked like 2x small bowls of potato soup with 2x small pieces of sausage was not very good in lookes or taste very disapointing we will not be back.
We arrived for our booked table at 5.15pm we had to wait 10 minutes which was fine, we only ordered main courses as we were going to a show at 6.25pm we chased our meal, which arrived promptly after that, no communication from staff. Ordered a bottle of prosecco - they did not have any chilled! We never received even though they were supposed to be chilling it. I appreciate the festival is on, but the place was not that busy and the service was exceptionally poor. As I paid the bill I told the manager that they had lost money, as they did not serve the drinks, meal was not quick enough for us to have a sweet. He shrugged his shoulders, which was a sham as the food was actually good, we could not enjoy as we had to rush to go to our show.
