   Absolutely lovely as always, really enjoy this place and always will be back. Had the salmon special for main and Pate for starters.

   Had a lovely meal at Brook Bistro on a Thursday evening. The staff, atmosphere and especially the food was all fantastic. The garlic bread with honey is a must! Steak was perfectly cooked. Had a very enjoyable evening.

   It was very busy when we arrived with lots of people dining. we had to wait stood by the front door with a group of other diners while we were waiting for our table to be ready. the food itself was okay the pasta was clumped together and the pork wasn't quite crispy the staff were exceptional and the value was okay for the area

   The place was really pretty and the food was really good but the service wasn’t great. It was quite busy in the restaurant but we were kept quite a long time before anyone took our drinks order & when the waitress was taking our order she was more interested in what other tables were doing and wasnt giving us her full attention. Resulting in 7 meals being ordered for a table of 6 of us and we were charged for it to. We did not realise till the following day and that we had even been charged a 10% (£33) service charge which had we read the bill properly at the time would not have given that much. Bit disappointed as it was our 1st time in the brook bistro.

   Thank you for your review. We are very pleased that you enjoyed your meals with us. We were a little short staffed on Saturday evening due to staff illness and I'm sorry that your first round of drinks took 15mins from when you arrived to be served. The servers mistake of accidently putting two lamb through instead of one should of course been taken off this was human error and I understand we have remedied this with you and you have been refunded. Service charge is totally discretionary and an offer to refund this to you has been made. Sadly at peak time on a Saturday night some delays might occur in any busy restaurant but the effort of our team is always exemplarily and I hope you will see that from the other reviews. We hope you will forgive these minor issues and visit us again.

   Great lunch time meal. The carrot and ginger soup was delicious and the potato bread and butter a yummy accompaniment. My husband had the tomato and mozzarella pasta- they swapped the gnocchi for spaghetti and I had the sirloin steak cooked MR and fries with brandy peppercorn sauce. I also had a side of freshly steamed broccoli. We didn’t have room for dessert but I would love to have tried the apple and pear crumble with banoffee ice cream!
