    Party of nine for my leaving do - girls from Newport had not been to bistro and they were all very impressed with the food and the service overall. We were not rushed despite a few girls being late due to parking issues but given time to order drinks and meals . Food was to notch as always - we had the two course menu - plenty of choice for all tastes and the dessert menu was a huge hit with all - brownies were gorgeous and large portions- pineapple spiced with rum and chilli yummy Well done Darren and all the staff who made our lunch perfect

    Lovely meal - tasty food, good portions, warm and friendly service, and nice atmosphere. Pouring rain made for entertaining banter with staff and fellow punters. Well done, Darren and team.

    Ate Breakfast here for a nice change and really enjoyed it. Food and coffee were lovely. Welcome and service always great. Lots of different choice as well which is lovely

    I use this restaurant regularly but on this occasion it fell short. I was taking my grandchildren for an end of summer holidays breakfast treat. Sadly we were sat next to a table of very noisy women who were out celebrating and ordered champagne at 10am. Nothing wrong with that but a quieter table would have been much better. It was impossible to have a conversation with the children. Secondly although our hot drinks order was taken and they arrived promptly we had finished drinking them and sat waiting for the best part of half an hour for our breakfasts. It is not a cheap treat and overall the experience was disappointing.

    Thank you for your review. As the manager on duty I'm shocked to read this review. You were seated 20min earlier than you booked for. Seated next to 4 very lovely ladies who did after you sat down order a bottle of champagne but were anything but noisy. Your meals were served 22min after you ordered, everything is cooked fresh so we cant make it any faster I'm afraid. As someone who has visited the restaurant so regularly to give us this review is very disheartening indeed!!!

    Regular customer here, booked a table for 2 for Sunday lunch to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary. We were sat at the table near the toilets, it was extremely busy so no other table appeared to be available, we had booked a week in advance. Received a half glass of flat pink Prosecco by the young waitress which I was disappointed with. The next glass was much fuller and sparkly served by the more experienced supervisor 👍 Food was delicious I had the lamb and my husband had beef. Another observation is that the seats feel a little low for the table, my husband is tall so had no issue. A lovely restaurant and delicious menu, think our experience this time would have been better at a different table but we will definitely be back!

    Another fantastic meal, food was amazing and service was excellent. The ambiance was really good. We come to the Brook Bistro for brunch, Sunday lunch, actually all meals at all time and we are never disappointed

    It was my sister's birthday so we decided to spend it at the Brook Bistro to celebrate - it was our first time and just so wonderful :) The friendliness of the staff and the warmth shown to us made it that extra bit special - from the lovely ambiance and the little touches like the welcome glass of fizz we really had a beautiful time! To the extent we are coming back this weekend to experience your terrace for a couple of cocktails - thank you again! Highly recommended :)
