The Brunch Club
Great food, great service....and great social distancing...
Staff seemed like they couldn’t be bothered being there. Food was very average not worth the money. Their Instagram page makes it look 100 times better than what it is. Very run down interior, won’t be back.
Best breakfast I've had while visiting Edinburgh and I visit alot can't to take my boyfriend next time. Food Amazing Staff friendly
Dissent food but nothing super special. Inexpensive and good size portions
Tiny portions- very overpriced for what it is,
Never got checked up on- no one checked how our food was
Staff were ok,
Toilets were disgusting- seriously need to improve hygiene
Does not deserve the hype it gets, very disappointed overall.
Really poor all round. Sunday morning at 10.30am they had already ‘run out’ of half of the items on the menu. The staff are unfriendly and had to take our order twice after they lost the first one. When our food arrived, it wasn’t quite right as per our order-we ate it anyway-it was fine but nothing to write home about. The place feels dirty and toilets are absolutely disgusting. And a lot of noise from behind the bar (coffee machine, endless ‘clinking’ of cutlery/crockery). Not an enjoyable brunch at all.
We had a really disappointing visit to The Brunch Club last Friday.
We didn't receive our order and walked out very disappointed.
Food - amazing
Service - great
Toilets - disgusting
Totally recommend going here but I was very disappointed at the state of the toilets. Didn’t look like they had been cleaned in a while. Wonky toilet seat, filthy and in need of a little TLC. Cleanliness should be a top priority in all areas (especially these days).
Staff were really nice and welcoming. Food was great and came quickly. The only thing that let down the visit was the very limited spacing from other guests. We were the first table sat down and by the time we left there were two more groups. We were all seated next to each other in the corner of the cafe barely 1 meter apart despite the rest of the place being empty.
Toilets were also dirty with flies, full bins and wet floor at 10am.
Fantastic food. Service could have been a little better and there was some cleanliness issues with tables cutlery.
Lovely food! Would go back again if we travel to Edinburgh! :)
The breakfast and smoothies were not very tasty. Ok environment, friendly staff.
Friendly staff, quick service and delicious food and reasonable prices. It would be good to see more specials/ slightly different items on the menu from time to time, and they do have a tendency to run out of key things too, which would be good to fix!
Great service, friendly and helpful staff, lovely food and a great deal for a ‘boozy brunch’!
All fine. Food nice, table too close to others and stuck in a corner with no view
Plenty of options not available
No fruit delivery so no smoothie
Overcooking of chicken dry pancakes
Waiting staff disinterested
Shame great concept.
Had a really great experience at The Brunch Club. Staff were very attentive and social distancing/COVID measures were excellent and made me feel safe. Had Eggs Hebridean and it did not disappoint!! Not to mention the incredible coffee. 100% recommend eating here.
Food tasted good, however did not live up to the expectations given from the menu. Was sat at a dirty table, felt a bit rushed even though we were there early & wasn’t overly busy.
Just a great value delicious brunch coffee and roll in a cute venue served by brilliant friendly staff.
Super yummy and very friendly
This was a rebooking from three days before when it was cancelled because something in the cellar needed repairing or replacing so the venue couldn’t open
Waffles were the one out of four breakfasts that was good. Three full English ordered. Two arrived but the third Breakfast ordered with scrambled egg didn’t arrive because “chef did fried egg by mistake so we’ll do it again” took so long that everyone else finished their meal before it even appeared.
Coffee machine on wrong setting so took ages to warm up. Pot of tea like flavourless hot water.
“Till run out of paper so will just write the total on a piece of paper”
Wish we had checked other reviews beforehand
Staff were great! Food was delicious! All had clean plates! Would definitely come back again!
Lovely little bar. Really enjoyed the drinks and the atmosphere.
I love the brunch club, food is outstanding!
We discovered this gem during lockdown so it was a real treat to be able to sit inside and enjoy our food and coffee.
My only comments is it closed quite early - at 3pm - which I hadn’t realised so we had to rush off. And I brought my newborn and it wasn’t easy to get down the stairs - so not sure this is suitable for wheelchairs or mums on their own.
Staff were delightful! The girl who took us to our table was just lovely.
Great tasty breakfast, very attentive & helpful staff.
My fiancé and I had heard lots of good reviews about The Brunch Club and was looking forward to going. Today we finally got the chance to go on one of our few days off together and we were very disappointed. When we arrived, despite booking a table we were told that it was closing in half an hour, which we were unaware prior to arriving as none of their social media platforms have been updated.
We ordered two fried chicken and waffles, which seemed to arrive very quickly considering it was chicken being cooked. We started eating the food and noticed straightaway it was cold. Also, the waffle wasn’t cooked properly and the chicken tasted awful with a rubbery texture.
When we made the waitress aware of this, she apologised saying it was a new chef and took the food away to get it replaced. Another two plates of the same choice arrived very quickly again, which was also awful again. We made the waitress aware of this again and she apologised with the offer of a free meal on our next visit. Safe to say we will not be taking up this offer.
The brunch club has a great menu, however I felt my food was fairly poor and very small portion wise. I was served one slice of toast with two poached eggs on the side that were both over cooked and not runny at all. My friend ordered the pancakes and was served two very small pancakes. For paying £8/9 per meal this definitely wasn't good value for money.
Terrible service, food was poor, not suitable for dietary requirements, staff were unhelpful and didn’t care. A very disappointing visit, will not recommend to friends or be returning.
Food was nice however the atmosphere was zero along with being cold inside. Overall ok
Great food, lovely staff and felt very safe during this COVID19 situation. The brunch club did a great job safe guarding customers and staff! And as always the food and coffee were delicious 😍
Amazing food, great atmosphere - but freezing cold. Service slow (which isn’t a slight against the staff, staff were lovely and it was a very busy day.) Our coffees came cold.
Shame because it has a lot going for it, but may have just been that particular day!
Everything was late, everything was wrong. Great food and lovely coffee, just wish it had arrived on time and right the first or even second time!
