Great visit the Sunday roast beef was brilliant 🤩
Stunning food we will be coming back very soon
We came here for Sunday lunch for the first time and will definitely be going back as soon as. The staff are lovely and good delish 😋 and good value, what more can you ask for.
All very good. Will go again. Would recommend to anyone.
We love the Bull - lovely food, so much choice with wine and beers and excellent service. The ambience is just fab, not rowdy but with a nice atmosphere. Highly recommend this place if you’re visiting the area!
Lovely lunch in the garden. Great to go somewhere that has different dishes on the menu, the Asia pork salad was delicious & my husband enjoyed his rabbit macaroni cheese. The millionaire mocha shortbread was rich but a treat! The cheesecake & panacotta were also good. Service as well! Will be back.
Nice pub - shame no Homebrew!! Broken seat which they didn’t seem bothered about !! Food mediocre!! Service nothing to tip for. Overall bit disappointing
First time eating at The Bull after a couple of visits for just drinks since it opened and we were not let down. It was a beautiful evening. Service was attentive and friendly. Food was absolutely delicious though we found dessert portion size rather small for the price. Have already raved about it to everyone. Will be visiting again soon!
We were fortunate to have lunch outside at the bull in a wonderful setting on a nice sunny day. The apéritif, though a tad expensive, was truly lovely. We liked all the food but particularly enjoyed the lamb. Plan to go again.
A great find. Genuine hospitality with great attention to detail and a relaxed atmosphere. Attentive and friendly staff and the food is excellent too. The Bull has a big heart. We look forward to returning.
My daughter speaks very highly of you, and you didn’t disappoint. Good food, charming
Service and no horrid music, what more could one want.
Wonderful food and service.
Excellent choice of starters, mains and desserts. Superb selection of wines and spirits.
Ooooooh my goodness. Their own beer is amazing. Yummy.
I especially liked the attention to detail, knowledge and passion of everyone who catered for us.
As always, great food, promptly served. The Bull Freehouse has such a friendly happy atmosphere.
The team at the Troston Bull are very welcoming and the chef talented, what more could you ask for😀
A lovely addition to the local dining scene. Interesting menu, mains particularly good. Well worth the trip. Some finishing touches around the decor required to make this a 5 for me.
Really great food and even better service, will definitely be going back!
First time, highly recommend by friends, we’ll be back!
Delicious food, excellent service. Would definitely recommend it to friends.
Absolutely wonderful place, delicious food and brilliant service. Will definitely be back, a really special evening out. Thank you!
Such a fantastic evening. Had heard good things and I was not disappointed! Service was impeccable, food was delicious, drinks menu was vast! So good. Can’t wait to go back. Oh and the dauphinois potatoes- best I’ve ever tasted!
The whole experience was fantastic from the time we arrived to the time we left. The staff were efficient, professional, friendly and extremely good at their job. Nothing was too much trouble.
The food was fantastic. The menu had several very good options in each category. The food was cooked really well. The components to the meal were fresh and very good quality. Presentation was excellent. Taste was amazing.
I would highly recommend this establishment.
We will certainly be going back!
Thank you for a fantastic evening.
Awesome as always! Every time we visit the food is excellent and the staff always go above and beyond!
Another wonderful meal at The Bull.
Sunday lunch was just awesome and the home brewed bitter my husband really enjoyed.
Thanks once again guys for a very relaxing and enjoyable Sunday afternoon.
Very nice staff and nicely cooked food. Value for money a little disappointing as the starter was so small costing over £7 for about 4 tiny slivers of mackerel ? ( given also that this is such a cheap fish to buy)
We were seated in the restaurant and feel that too many tables were crowded in here. We were extremely close ( touching distance) to a table of 6 who were very loud and annoying, not helped also by a screaming baby for a large part of the time which hastened our departure.
We realise that people with children are perfectly entitled to eat out but suggest maybe the bar area seating would be a more appropriate setting for families away from the main restaurant??
My second visit to this fantastic restaurant. Amazing food on both occasions and excellent service. Highly recommended and already looking forward to going again!
Probably the best meal we’ve had at The Bull yet - and we’ve had a few! Hats off to the chef who is just going from strength to strength with his flavours. As always, we received impeccable service - friendly, knowledgable, attentive staff and wonderful ambience in the delightful garden. And felt extremely Covid safe!
This was our second visit to the Bull and the food - lots of new choices - was as terrific as the first time. So much so that once again we had to go three courses! The team at The Bull are helpful and friendly and know their stuff and the fact that it was so busy on a Wednesday evening speaks volumes. Give it a try - you wont be disappointed.
Fabulous food in a lovely setting. Can’t wait to go again!
Great staff, great food, great location and a great tipple selection! What's not to like.
Amazing! Excellent food and outstanding service.
Food was amazing, especially the desserts. Service was on point and not OTT. Would defiantly go again.
A lovely welcome by the enthusiastic Owner who is rightly proud of what has been achieved. The food and drinks were extremely well thought out and more importantly looked and tasted exquisite. We were even given a taste of the nearly ready home brewed summer ale and were delighted by the tour around the kitchen garden.
The Bull really is a super find and we will become regulars as we make our way through the menu which I am sure will regularly change.
Refined, interesting food in nice setting with great service.
Imaginative menu, tasty food, good service and well thought out use of space. Liked the kitchen theatre. Only comment would be that the tiny rectangle of a slate base to slice and eat my burger on was not big enough. I could not manage to eat it using just my hands which I guess is the expectation. My mouth is not that big! Would recommend and return to.
excellent venue in this part of Suffolk which I am sure will thrive
Our party of 4 really enjoyed lunch at the Bull. Initially our table was in the restaurant but it was particularly noisy that day. The host relocated us at a perfect table in the bar with no fuss or trouble.
The food was exquisite. Thank you.
Good food, good service, good ambiance. Recommended.
Not your average country pub grub but high quality good tasting food
First time visit for a birthday celebration and so impressed with the food and equally pleased with the service. We will definitely be back very soon.
We all had a roast and it was really lovely meal. Catered for children and gluten/ dairy free
