Afternoon Tea was fabulous. We got pot of tea each (enough for 3 - 4 cups, which was refilled when empty), 3 sandwiches, a mini quiche, a small sausage rolls, a scone with cream and jam, and a good selection of lovely cakes which were impressively presented. We also got unlimited water flavoured with lemon. The place was lovely and the staff and service was excellent. My only issue is the cost - at £30 each, it is by far the most expensive Afternoon Tea I have had, as they generally cost between £12 - £18 each.

A little disappointed. I had specified a nut allergy, only to find cakes with nuts included, and not only that but touching other items on the cake stand. The venue was changed to the Restaurant, at the back of the hotel, at the top of the steep hill with stairs - not easy for anyone with mobility issues to access. For the price I felt let down, yes, it was lovely, plentiful and satisfying, but not value for money. The 4 finger sandwiches were lovely, plenty of flavour and fillings, the little slices of sausage roll and quiche were enough to taste (fantastic) but not enough to satisfy. 3 different kinds of cake, a lemon meringue tartlet and a scone (plain) with jam and cream - just perfect, then we have white chocolate dipped strawberries, and a milk, a dark and a white chocolate which we're very rich. This is of course, my opinion with which, others may not agree. Overall I found it an enjoyable afternoon, but I did not think it was value for money.

Not in Camellia lounge due to lack of staff. Dining room with nice views of golf but souless and cold room . Staff not organised didn't seem to be expecting us. Afternoon tea was lovely but would not pay full price . Bottle of prosecco £39 !! Omg.

Unfortunately afternoon tea was a really disappointing experience! We were sat down and given our tea straightaway ! We weren’t offered a menu with drinks / tea menu ! I let this pass as there were only 2 serving and both the servers were very pleasant ! When afternoon tea was served we were presented with a plate of sandwiches that had hardened a little tartlet and a little sausage roll that was grizzly ! The scones were nice but the other cakes were extremely disappointing ! For £30 a head I would have expected fresh made cakes ! We did make a complaint at the time and provided some feedback ! The view was lovely where we were seated !

Overall it was a lovely afternoon with delicious food and great view over the golf course (afternoon tea was served in Vista restaurant, not the lounge). Just not sure it was really worth the money. If we were going back to the hotel, I would order from the lunch menu rather than afternoon tea.

Afternoon tea as an Itison gift. A tale of two halves, food wise. Sandwiches were tasteless. Mix of chicken, salmon and egg mayo. All bland. Tartlets and sausage roll slice, delicious. Cakes were delicious as well, the lemon tart was divine. We were seated in Vista restaurant not Camelia, with lovely outlook. Overall it was a pleasant experience. We were not offered Prosecco, but not too bothered by that. Others might have been.

Food is absolutely lovely. Really nice afternoon tea. The service was very slow and lacking. The staff are very kind and friendly, however there seems to be a lack of training or experience. We waited 20 minutes to be seated, had to go and find staff who then told us they had forgotten about our booking. We had to go and find them again when we wanted to order. They were prompt with service once we asked for things but unfortunate that we were in a position where we were constantly looking for them. I think this is definitely an issue with training, as it’s clear they have hired really friendly staff who respond when you ask for things. But having to constantly seek them out to ask for things is inconvenient.

Great views out across the Clyde from the Vista restaurant, rather than the Camellia Lounge, but not too concerned about that as the Lounge looked very busy. The food provided was excellent, the service discreet but attentive, so we’re happy.

A little disappointed at first because our afternoon tea was not served in the Camellia Lounge as expected but in the Vista Restaurant with lovely views over the golf course. The sandwiches and quiche were delicious with a lovely scone and vast assortment of cakes a box was provided for the leftovers. The chocolate caramel truffle was fantastic would loved a box to takeaway

Had a delicious afternoon tea today in the Camellia Lounge. This is a beautiful hotel. Reception area and lounge were decorated tastefully and absolutely spotless. Our waiter was a lovely attentive man, who catered to all our needs very professionally. Can’t wait to go back and stay overnight.

We were the only customers so ambience a bit lacking. Perhaps you need to advertise the afternoon tea a bit more. When I first went online to book, it was a reservations of rooms website that came up. I phoned the number and the chap who answered obviously had no idea about afternoon teas. He asked me to wait while he investigated; I hung on with the dreaded music then the line went dead. I tried another website that was offered and then got the afternoon tea site.
