Food was really good and so was the wine menu! Can’t wait to go back and try some more items off the menu…
good food but overall bill too high for what we had.
Easy dining with no fuss tasty menu. Good bar and selection of ales.
The service was very slow and generally poor, we had to ask to be served continuously throughout the evening, even though we had pre booked as a group of 6.
The food was ok but not very hot, when dessert arrived one of the creme brûlée had curdled, so we sent it back and they said there were no more available. The staff really didn’t know how to deal with it.
The manager was apologetic, but the price tag of £150 for a disappointing evening has put us of returning, even though we are are staying just opposite the pub.
Very disappointed really as the pub was a selling point for booking the holiday cottage and we had planned on eating there all week.
Main course Ok. Fish and chips. Small piece of fish for money.
Sweet. cheese cake and a little dissapointed.
No creme creme brule. Sold out.
Nice pub and setting out in the country.
Great location and a really cosy pub. We sat outside on the pizza terrace which is well set out and serves great food, would definitely recommend
Food was amazing, great portion sizes, staff were lovely. Only bad points were staff didn’t check if food was ok or offer more drinks. Apart from that everything was great. The new terrace out the back is a lovely addition. Thank you for a great visit
The food was as good as ever, the pizzas were excellent, its a great place to have a relaxed meal, what a great idea the pizza terrace was particularly in this fantastic weather.
Really nice meal our usual place is temporarily closed and so pleased with our alternative. Think our usual place may have lost their repeat customer
Food , location and service was all excellent, will defo recommend to friends and family
Keep up the good work
We booked online. 7 30 slot was full so we went at 6.30. We were almost the only customers. We were placed out of sight in a hollow and not offered any other table despite the sunnier spots with no reservations signs on them. Staff were insistent we sat there. No atmosphere at all when we could have watched the pizza oven goings on etc. Disappointed
Excellent food and service - lovely summer evening outside !
More than village pub! Good food and environment for supper
The menu was interesting with a range of items to suit different tastes - definitely a gastropub but with genuine pub food prices. I was slightly shocked that locals did not seem to wear masks when entering or walking round the pub despite the clear signs on the door. I can only assume that come 19th July this wil be a covid-friendly pub, and one I would hesitate to enter.
What a fabulous country pub. Can't fault it. It's a gem.
Good menu and well cooked. Belly pork excellent. Great ales. Traditional pub with sunny terrace garden. Efficient servi ce and 10% discretionary charge is right.
yes, I'd recommend the cat and custard pot. very helpful - good food
Lovely pub. We ate at lunchtime and we had a great meal.
Really lovely food, great value and great service. What more could you want?
Shared 2 delicious pizzas fresh from the wood fired oven, enjoyed then on the lovely terrace area. Staff service was excellent.
Mateo’s pizza’s keep getting better and better. His latest menu is his best ever.
Quaint pub just outside Tetbury. Car park at rear although we parked on the street.
Warm welcome to a lovely looking pub. Varied choice on the menu - not too many vegetarian options that I recall (1?)
Good service. Lovely food.
Nice ambiance - not intrusively noisy. Good clean decor.
Would go again.
Lovely old country pub in a beautiful village setting. (A well kept secret)!!
Food was delicious.. recommend the steak pie and belly pork!!!
They also have a pizza oven on the terrace at the back. Which looked very popular !
Was a very pleasant evening and we left well stuffed and happy!!!
Would have liked some background music in the pub to improve ambiance.
Had a lovely visit to the Cat and Custard Pot last night. The work at the back to create a terrace and pizza oven is great and was lovely to sit there in the evening sunshine! We are in the restaurant which felt very safe with good service and lovely food. Thank you
As usual, delicious food, excellent service and will return again and again.
Classic country gastropub with a very nice ambience and an excellent covered outdoor area. Food was very good indeed and the service matched the rest of the experience; it was excellent.
Lovely meal, drinks a bit slow coming to table ,but had a very enjoyable evening will return
Fabulous find. We visited on several occasions during a small holiday in the Cotswolds. Food was exceptional, staff were all very pleasant. We would recommend this pub/restaurant to anyone. The Sunday lunch was the best we’ve ever had…!!!
After a long and hugely pleasant cycle ride we arrived at this very lovely pub with the most delightfully fun name... Service was great. We had the most scrumptious roast pork belly, superb gravy but was so DISSAPOINTED with the roast spuds. I was told they would have the crunchy texture like their chips, Not at all.. Uncrunchy and hard.
Hopefully, we'll experience a cuppla crunchy roast spuds next time :-)
Cracking pub, warm welcome and great food
Went here as a first get-together post lockdown. Good food, pretty place. Bit of an odd attitude on the guy who runs the place - but we all have off days…
Lovely friendly staff made you feel very welcome.
Warwick the chef delivers wonderful food every time
Recommended to all my friends and family
Very good food, not sure about service charge. It is their job to bring food and check everything is OK not to be paid extra.
Really pretty pub in a nice village but thought the food would have been better.
Lovely service and good food. Good observation of Covid guidelines.
Really good experience, tasty wholesome food, good service, nice pub.
Delicious food and great service. Would highly recommend!
Staff very attentive and friendly, good service. Excellent, great quality food.
Beautiful location and one of the best Sunday dinners we’ve been served. All the team were very very welcoming and the special custard pot desert is a must! Hopefully be back soon on our next visit to the Cotswolds
Great staff and wonderful food which made a lovely evening
