Amazing food decor a bit outdated

Our visit was for a birthday meal. The staff were friendly and efficient. The food was good. We chose quite spicy dishes. The food was not piled high (thank goodness) but in reasonable sized portions. We like to leave a restaurant wanting more not uncomfortably full or with a bag full of leftovers and that's exactly how it was. Will definitely book again.

Really friendly welcone swift service and great food. Price was good too. We will be returning.

The restaurant staff were very welcoming and our table was ready promptly.

Lovely friendly staff and beautiful venue. Food is definitely geared towards Western people though.

The last time we visited was 8 years ago, we gave it a very wide berth dur to the bad experience with the food and service.
Happily I can now see that things are very much improved, still a bit chilly throughout the restaurant

Was on a weekend away with my partner and fancied a Chinese. This place was just 3 minutes walk from our hotel and had good reviews so we booked...Lovely layout and good, friendly service. The food quality was excellent with my partner saying it was probably the best Chinese she had ever tasted...A lovely evening and would definitely visit again.

Second time we have been here, both times we have had excellent food and received great service. Would highly recommend.

Wide menu, we had Sunday buffet, plenty of choice to be had, you could order as much as you like, as long as you do not waste food. It was cooked to order, we did wait for some items which meant some of our party were eating and some weren't. Very polite staff.

Was lovely, so tasty and food came out quick. I will definitely be returning. The best Chinese food I’ve ever eaten and great Portions price too

Excellent venue for pre theatre menu. Food good value and nice ambience and service.
Sadly their boiler had broken so was rather cold on this occasion but they had heaters and soon warmed up..but we were one of first guests of the evening too. Still would recommend though and will go again

We had excellent service and the food was very good .

This was a special birthday occasion for a 70 year old in a party of 10. Ages ranged from 70 down to 6 and everybody had a good time. Choice of food and drink was very good and the children were well catered for. We would not hesitate to eat here again.

This is the equivalent of Madame Tussauds if they did 'lets take a group photo of a-listers who dine here'
Their walls are adorned with selfies from all the great and good from the 30+ years they've been operating. Some quirks of Asian restaurants include a nonchalance for appearance which was shown by our waiter who at the door had to put out his cigarette before showing us to the table. At least he put it out some would say!
Other that that service was great and we didn't wait long to be seen even though the restaurant is split into rooms where it isn't obvious when someone needs attention.
We ordered the 3 course pre theatre menu - great taste and something to recommend. Many eaters will be familiar with the staple of sweet and sour chicken and wont be disappointed otherwise those more daring should try the chicken with black pepper and honey sauce. Succulent fried chicken breast with an intense pepper taste followed by a lovely sickly honey sweetness. Not for the faint hearted.

Hopefully when I come back - the bar staff will take a photo of me and put it on the wall.
Just need to marry a Hollywood actress now!

Food was good as was portion size and the staff were very helpful with the menu. Our kids loved the food which is rare!! So Will definitely be going back again

My husband and I visit this restaurant every time we are in Bristol. It is very central and close to theatres and music venues. The menu is varied and there is something to suit everyone

The attentiveness of the staff was amazing. My wife is Gluten intolerant; which might usually be a challenge in a Chinese Restaurant. However, the staff really wen out of their way to ensure that she was happy with her menu choices. (And the food was amazing too !)

good selection of food and drinks, but the service was a little unattentive to start with - once the older members of the team realised this they soon improved.

We have visited this restaurant before and as on previous occasions the food was excellent and so was the service. The staff are friendly and attentive and make dining in here a great night out. The restaurant is also close to the theatre and music venues in the city .

Food was good but not great. Hot and sour soup looked and tasted unlike any hot and sour I have ever had. Very very dark and not very good. Sweet and sour is pretty good as was curry chicken. Chow mein noodles were very good.

The service was extremely slow and the restaurant didn't even seem very busy.
My lemon chicken tasted of washing up liquid and salt and I have had far superior from a takeaway. My husband's meal was also extremely salty. Of course as brits when we were asked if everything was OK. we smiled and didn't say anything, but we will never eat there again or recommend it.

Firstly, We were impressed by the historical building, and the food was amazing. Waiting staff were very friendly, they treat us like friends. A lovely lady told us this is a family run independent restaurant. I think that was why they were so welcoming.
We will definetfly come again and recommend it to our friends.

I had the express lunch , went there Saturday lunch time with my husband and it was lovely, very relaxed and the food was amazing and very good value , definitely recommend! Lovely place and first class food and service
