We love the Cellar bar, we only have to look back at our camera roll over the years to see that we are regulars & we always have a lovely family time here. The food is lovely, portions could be a little more generous but the service & professionalism of the staff are on point. Even in 2020 with a masked up nation, we had a little bit of normal family enjoyment in the cosy and inviting surroundings of the Cellar Bar.
We had a very enjoyable night. Food was lovely and staff were very attentive.

Food was absolutely amazing. It was expensive but when it's good food you don't mind paying for it. Staff were very nice & setting was very atmospheric too.

The service was chaotic - it was a busy night. The table was not ready on arrival. Service was slow. Starters arrived at the table separately - soup served lukewarm with no bread. Side for main course did not arrive until staff reminded albeit the side could be seen coming out of the kitchen and returning on a number of occasions which was the norm on the night for a number of meals for other diners. Even saw a main course being taken away from a diner for some reason the diner was unaware of. When asked for a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon at the bar they did not have any! The room temperature was not comfortable as it was quite cool. The food was good and the staff were nice but lacked direction.
Our server was very friendly but we felt the food was average at best. Had fish and chips and ribeye. Ribeye was very thin and fatty for price. Probably would have preferred the bar with a burger.

My wife ordered an order of fries and salad with her main. We did not receive it. Our waiter was a nice guy (Igor) but I believe some conversation was lost in translation.

The perfect place for meeting up with friends. It felt like we had our own private dining room tucked away from everyone. The food was excellent and the staff are lovely.
I believe the service could have been improved. We waited a while to order our drinks (and then also between courses). The food was fine and was priced reasonably.
The setting is lovely - but with lots of great restaurants in Dublin, the Cellar would need to improve its service.

1 hour to get the starters and over another hour to get the mains. Food was below average and it was one of those meals we just wanted to get out even before the mains arrived. Waiting staff tried their best to correct things but it was all too slow and the food too poor. The peppercorn sauce with the steak for example was like water, translucent and liquid. Our first meal back in Dublin having lived here for 2 years and I wish it hadn’t been here.
We had a lovely family dinner but the only issue we had was that deserts were brought separately and we had to ask a few times for them to be brought. Waitress was very friendly and lovely to deal with. Overall a good experience
Really nice atmosphere, we had a lovely snug, ideal and romantic for a couple dining. Staff were very attentive and pleasant and the food was delicious. Would definitely recommend!

No table was available for us at our pre-booked time despite 5 No. confirmations by email, telephone and via hotel reception on check-in. Had to stand for 20 minutes in an over-crowded walkway before finally being seated. Terribly poor service thereafter as we were left for an hour totally unattended by waiter after placing our order, so only got to eat one course. No drinks could be ordered either given that no one came back to us so all we could do is get up and left as we were so frustrated. Totally over-rated venue and I would most certainly not recommend it based on the appalling lack of service and lack of attention we experienced. Give this venue a miss for sure as it was simply an over-crowded 'pub' where one could get no proper service....certainly not a venue for a nice evening meal given the frantic, noisy atmosphere. We have registered a formal complaint with the management and await their response.
Two of the main courses ( the ones we wanted - steak and chicken) not available as they had had a busy day, so had run out of the two most popular mains. The remaining choice was poor. Left waiting a long time to place our orders and took nearly 20 mins to get our first drinks.
Food was fine ( my salad was very good) , desserts very good. Wouldn’t rush to return, overall experience very average.

Excellent place to have a dinner in real and ancient cellar...food was also a high point...we had a great surprise going there as we usually go out every saturday to try new and different restaurants in Dublin...we will go back!

Dinner for two. Had the Vegan Shephardless Pie as my main with Bruschetta to start. Really tasty. We had one of the little alcoves to ourselves and that was great too. Have eaten here many times and it’s always great.
