Maitre D’i is particularly warm and welcoming. All the staff are very well-trained. It’s always a pleasure to eat there

Excellent as always. Our 8-year old loved the place so much that he filled in the review card! Introduced to real quality at a very young age!

Brought a group of friends and weren't sure what the place would be like. The food was great. Service was friendly and helpful. The food was good value, we got the seafood tower and some sides between 4 of us which was delicious. Collectively we all will be back :)

Meh. Lot of attitude with the so-so food. But the Thursday night music was good.

The staff member who served my table did not know or understand the menu. My guests had the fishcakes in a nice sauce, but no veg. I had the haddock which was well cooked, but the mash was cold and tasteless. The coffee machine was broken so we were served, albeit on the house, not so warm coffee. The bill for three people was €141.00 and it did not value for money or good food.

Good place for business meeting over lunch. Noise levels and proximity allow good conversation. Lunches present good value for money. Excellent healthy options. Very friendly and accomodating staff. It’s the little things - and the care taken with presentation of tap water (ice and a slice) made it easy to leave a decent tip.

Perfect for a Winters day - warm, cosy and perfect comfort food. Would have preferred more choice on the wine list.

Lunch was very nice, Chicken was lovely and ambience just perfect. Service is slow for a lunch time, particularly if you are on the clock. I wanted to pay my bill and in the end had to pay at the bar as I was waiting for ages at the table.

For 34e the steak was very grizzly, and the chips were fairly standard. The pepper sauce was amazing though and the presentation was nice. Service was pretty slow, despite the place being almost empty, and two glass of wine took about 20mins to arrive.

Stayed at the Merrion last Friday and i have to say their attention to customer service is outstanding. All staff have obviously been very well trained and this is also true of staff in the Cellar Bar. The food was amazing and staff friendly and professional. This has become one of my 'go to" places for guaranteed quality.

Food was okay but the menu was quite old-fashioned. Not much on offer for vegetarians. Attentive waiters. My main course was a salad and they brought the wrong one, which was basically mounds and mounds of spinach leaves. Must try harder, Cellar Bar!

Great catch up evening with friends at The Cellar Bar. Lovely table, lots of space. Music in background but we could chat over it all night. Service attentive though a little slow taking our drinks and food orders at first. Food was very good - steaks, burgers, fish and vegetarian were our choices. One of party was celebrating a birthday and a nice decorated dessert plate was presented, without the singing of Happy Birthday! Value for money was good especially given the ambiance, location and time of year.

Lovely venue for a drink but food was poor. Terrine was just out if fridge and v cold. Two of us had the rib eye steaks which were the meanest thinnest I've ever had which at €34 represented very poor value for money. To top everything off we were presented the bill without asking for it! So poor overall sadly.

Very enjoyable. A bit noisy as there was a rugby match on earlier but that did also add to the atmosphere.

The waitress was brilliant from the start. My partner is a celiac and they had lots of options for her on the menu.
I had half chicken with Piri Piri sauce and it was so succulent with amazing taste. One of the nicest chicken dishes I ever had.

The pecan pie on for Thanksgiving was amazing.

On checking the bill I noticed that I was double charged for a peppermint tea. This was quickly rectified by the waitress.

This restaurant is very well priced at €35 per head for 2 mains, one side, 2 deserts and one tea considering the quality and exceptional taste of the food.

I would highly recommend this restaurant and will certainly eat here again.

Friday night, a few hours after work, we had a birthday dinner over there. The view when you enter the restaurant is amazing, with all the walls made of visible stones. The service is great and the food was tasty. Our waiter Alessandro was really nice and accommodating. He perfectly followed the birthday instructions I asked when I reserved the table online. Thank you.

Food was very good. Service was not up to the usual standard you would expect . They must have got the table plan incorrect to start as they kept giving people someone else's food. And left waiting on a couple of things.
