We will serve breakfast sandwiches 10am-12pm daily, Lunch Monday -Saturday 12-3pm and Dinner 5.30-9pm, on Sunday food hours are 12.5.30pm and drinks only in the evening.

Our meal was good though I must mention that the pie of the day was definitely below par. The other 2 meals though were great.

We go to the chancery twice a week very good affordable food it may be nice to have a specials board on my last visit I love the veggie sausage and mash but I must say the mash was not seasoned so a bit disappointed but we all have off days

Service not up to your usual standards I’m afraid. Food and ambience great as always. There appeared to be a function on the first floor so much busier although there seemed to be the same number of staff (who were understandably rushed off their feet. We had long waits for mains, dessert and to pay the bill (for desserts / bill I had to go and find someone to help me after waiting a considerable time). Message above is for management - to potential customers I still highly recommend The Chancery. I love this place and come here about once a week for dinner. It would definitely be my local if I was more local!

Two of us went for Sunday lunch and it was absolutely faultless; amazing grub, brilliant service and very reasonable cost. We will be back this coming Sunday!

Another delicious visit to the Chancery for a roast. The meat was tasty but not pink as requested. A huge portion of veg and tasty gravy along with a great Yorkshire pud! Didn’t disappoint and perfect for a catch up with friends.
