The Cheese Bar
We work closely with our producers, sourcing all our cheese direct from UK-based farms that are making cheese in a traditional & thoughtful way.
Lovely food. A bit over priced but a nice treat. Small venue and can be squishy when full.
Been here twice now and already want to come again! Such a great selection of cheeses, nice wine and great staff - would defintely recommend.
Absolutely loved it. My fiancé and I celebrated our 3rd anniversary here recently and we're both really big cheese lovers so we had a blast. The only thing that I would suggest is maybe set up a private area with tables for two for a bit of extra intimacy. Overall a great experience and will definitely come back.
Fully recommended to all cheese lovers, fab menu. Thank you.
Service was non-existent. I had to seat myself and then the waitress confronted me about seating myself and asked me if I even made a booking (the place wasn’t busy). I felt like a burden Everytime I had to ask her for something and this really ruined the experience for me. I wouldn’t return.
The Cheese Bar in Camden Town was absolutely brilliant! I had the famous Mozzarella Sticks (they did stretch for days and it was scrumptious!) The grilled cheese sandwich I had was delicious (I had the Quicke's Cheddar, Ogleshield one) and the lemon brie cheesecake was just heaven!! Overall the food was fantastic!! For me, my favourite item I had and the most popular item was the amazing Mozzarella Sticks. If you all want to go there, give them a shot. You will not be disappointed. And the staff in there were amazing, willing to help and one of them recommended me the chessecake. They were great overall! P.S it was so busy in there. I'd book a table there before you go in so you save yourself the trouble of finding a table. Of course you get a table there, but it will be difficult.
Went here for my birthday. Ages 20 to 75 and everybody was more than happy. Food was great and the staff couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. Will definitely come again!!!
The food was delicious and all of the dishes were carefully out together! It’s a great location and a great spot
to hang out with friends. Highly recommend to all cheese lovers out there!
As always the food was amazing! I just had the same as last time but was not disappointing. Everything we had for less than £30
A great place with a great atmosphere. We had the cheese fondue which was amazing.
The staff were attentive and the food arrived promptly. We would all definitely return when we are next in Camden.
Food was great but the service was poor. They seemed understaffed and therefore had to queue to enter and wasn’t even acknowledged even though i had a reservation. Then took 15 minutes to even order a drink, eventually had to call the waitress over, who to be honest, looked like she didn’t want to be there.
Would have gone back but I’m not going to give a restaurant money if they don’t seem to appreciate you being there.
I came along to the cheese bar last week with my friend and surprised her as shes wanted to come down there for a long time! we were both impressed with the selection on the menu and the prices. Lovely atmosphere and all staff were very attentive, we even met the owner who was telling us about future plans for the cheese bar.
We WILL be back! Keep up the good work x
Cheese! This place it the next level of heaven for lovers of cheese.
Fantastic food, served quickly, in a nice relaxed setting.
The food was terrible and the service was just as bad. the four cheese Mac tasted like Alfredo and when I told our server about it she said "its not like usual Mac and cheese thats baked".. even though the breadcrumbs on top were obviously baked.. I barely ate any of it and our serve just said she was sorry and then brought us the bill without offering anything else or a discount. I was very excited about this only to be very disappointed afterward. Not worth the money and would not go again.
My friend and I have wanted to come here for a long time and we booked a space at the counter this time because we'd been turned away previously when it was full.
We ordered the fondue which was delicious.
I felt bad for the guy that was serving because the restaurant was full and he was the only one there to take orders, make drinks and serve food, which slowed down service dramatically. I hope he has a more reliable staff team in the future.
I'll definitely visit The Cheese Bar again.
Maybe my expectations were too high, but I was quite disappointed. Did not live up to its hype at all. Lacklustre premises and food. Not even the cheerfulness of the staff could make up for that.
Also, with so much focus on British cheeses, why not more British options on the wine menu?
Essential for all cheese lovers. Amazing food and service. Booking recommended.
Fantastic restaurant! Would highly recommend! Great friendly atmosphere! Quick service!
I had hoped we would be able to watch the food being prepared in the bar setting, but just wishful thinking. Food was really yummy. Staff could have been a bit more attentive, but all in all a great experience. Will definitely return for more cheesy goodness
Lived up the hype- every cheese lovers dream!!!!!!!
Overall the food was very nice, however, this was grossly overshadowed by the fact that I could barely hear my friend speak at the table - to the point where we couldn't even have a conversation without me asking her to repeat what she said multiple times. The cheese bar itself is very small which probably contributes to why it is so noisy, the music was too loud and there are no toilets. I think it is a good concept but there are many flaws and for these reasons I wouldn't return here or recommend it to a friend.
Excellent lunchtime meal with a very good value Pinot Noir
We had an amazing lunch at The Cheese Bar. Our food was delicious, especially the blue cheese raclette. The service was friendly, and the staff were laid back yet attentive. I was given a complimentary ice cream as it was my birthday which was a lovely touch. We'll be back to try the cheese fondue (and all the other things we couldn't manage this time!) Thank you!
The cheese bar is a must for any cheese lover! The Mozzarella dippers and Raclette are my favourites but there is a great selection of cheeses and drinks to compliment them.
It was our first time in Camden market, although we have been London before. Our experience was fantastic, service was excellent and food was delicious. We ordered cheese fondue which was delicious , we also had a kid with us who ordered the 5 cheese pasta which was also delicious. We also ordered the rosemary and colada cocktail which where really nice as well. Servers were very nice and friendly, they also took our languages so that we can sit comfortably. Service was quick and efficient. I would definitely recommend this bar to anyone, it's worth a visit.
I had real high hopes about the cheese bar. I had contacted them prior about being gluten free so they could accommodate.
They substituted the bread with the most tasteless crackers you could buy. Honestly the packaging they came in probably had more flavour
The potatoes were so salty it sucked all the moisture from my mouth.
The wine tasted like soap.
I've been before so was extremely disappointed. I would not recommend this place.
My partner and I arrived adhoc to this venue, we was told the tables inside where fully booked so was recommended to sit outside which we had no issue doing. We took a seat outside and awaited someone to bring menus/introduce themselves for roughly 10 minutes, no one arrived. During this time I booked a table online.. walked back inside and said that I had booked a table (I found this odd as the server had already informed me there was nothing available and they where fully booked inside the restaurant?). He seated us at the bar counter, I must say the venue itself was gorgeous. We waited a further 10/15 minutes before someone approached us and asked if we 'wanted anything', I was a little unsure if we could order food at the bar counter so had to ask. We then surveyed the area to see minimal customers and the 4 servers chatting among themselves for a large majority of our stay. We had ordered the Classic Four Cheese Fondue Pot (For 2), it was quite impressive but nothing overly wowing about the presentation nor the taste. At no point did anyone approach us to ask if we where enjoying our meal or if we needed a top-up on our drinks. Once we had finished we waited patiently for someone to clear our plates after 5 minutes I staked the plates myself to see if this would spur any of servers on, nothing. We then waited another 5 minutes before calling a server over to clear the plates and get the bill. We would have stayed for another course or two but the poor service really jilted this experience for me.
I love the cheese bar the food is always amazing and its a great place to take your cheese loving friends, feels like an event.
My Girlfriend and I visited for her birthday in May 2019 and it was one of the nicest restaurants we've been to. The staff were extremely friendly and polite. We LOVED the four cheese fondue! They even surprised my girlfriend with a sundae and a candle (a very nice touch!) We are definitely going to come back and will certainly be recommending The Cheese Bar to our friends. :)
Amazing food and wonderful service! This was our last night in London and we couldn’t have spent it any better than visiting Camden and The Cheese Bar.
My first experience at The Cheese Bar has been really good: great food and drink selection, nice buzz, great food. Customer service was good: some team member better than others and they looked after the customers in a professional and friendly way (I've been there when the manager on duty has to handle a complaint with some customers sitting close to me, it went smoothly and nicely). I'd recommend this place to a friend and I'll be back soon!
We made a noon reservation and were very glad we did as it was steadily busy while there.
The recommendations were spot on. We had the blue cheese raclette, cheese board and shared a 500ml Sauvignon Blanc. I need gluten free and they knew because of my Open Table profile so they brought GF crackers to me. Fantastic!
It was a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
If you love your cheese, go here! The mozzarella sticks are unreal! We had the raclette and our friends had fondue, both very yummy, although we would have like to have our own raclette so we could melt the cheese ourselves (it came out already done for you on the plate!) but it was extremely yummy nevertheless and we will be back! :0)
Took my boyfriend here for his birthday as he loves cheese. Great venue, really good vibe. Has lots of gluten free options, not bread (maybe could think about doing this?) but had crackers and tortilla chips.Different. Would definitely go back.
Excellent visit, food was brilliant and service was great. Would highly recommend and will be back. Lovely touch for the birthday in our group with a little ice cream and candle which started the birthday off nicely!
Great food (just have the fondue it’s amazing) nice drinks and great atmosphere because it’s small. Sat at the counter and didn’t feel imposed by any other customers, plus it felt like I wasn’t in Camden (bonus cause I hate Camden)
A must for a cheese lover! The grilled cheese toast was amazing
Awesome concept and good food with great service. I would definitely go again.
Great for all cheese lovers! So many dishes to chose from.
