The Chefs Table
They work very closely with all their suppliers but especially alongside a team of organic growers called The Natural Veg Men whom are situated 15 miles from the restaurant and allow the chefs to work with amazing produce that influences their menus.
At lunch they offer a smaller a la carte menu with an amazing offer of 2 courses for £18 and 3 course for £22, and then in the evening there is a full a la carte menu which offers a wide range of choice with lots of innovative original dishes using some of the best produce that is available to them.
This restaurant offers a relaxed fine dining atmosphere, where everything is set up to give the guest an unique dining experience.

This is my favourite restaurant. There is not another place i’ve Eaten from more regularly other than my local chippy. Go to the chef’s table.
Excellent quality food , beautifully presented with understated and highly efficient service. Highly recommended. This place never disappoints.
The Chef’s Table serves one of the best dinners I have ever had in the UK. The food and service are outstanding.
The quality of the food and ingredients cannot be beat in Chester. The service was wonderful and the option to make a reservation to guarantee a seat is appreciated!
Excellent and imaginative food cooked perfectly. Smiling, attentive service by waiting staff who were also knowledgeable about the food and interested in it.
Amazing food as always amazing combination of tastes and flavours!
Loved it from start to finish never had a bad meal from Chefs Table
credit to all of the Chefs and front of house for the experience
Lovely tasty food but rather small portions for the vegan diner. Would be fab if there was a vegan roast in the future!!
Beautiful, imaginative, well presented fare in a lively, laid back little nook in the middle of Chester. Thoroughly enjoyable lunch.
First visit to this restaurant and I'll definitely be back. It was a taste sensation and the flavours were fantastic. The menu is compact however great variety and clearly the chef's execute the dishes with finesse. The portion sizes were also perfect; I am usually a one course person however managed starter and main with ease. It is a great experience whilst being excellent value for money; no wonder it gets booked up quickly.
Amazing as always!! Can’t fault it!!! Worth every penny
Lovely food, excellent service. We had a really enjoyable evening and will definitely be back again.
Very good food. We had the lunch menu... excellent value at £18 for two courses. Service attentive and professional. Overall a great experience and will certainly be back next time we visit Chester.
I've been to the Chefs table four times now and each time it gets better. Sensational food! I've already booked in for my next visit
wonderful experience and friendly, welcoming staff. Food was a delight and enjoyed the many different tastes in each dish.
Fabulous time , everything superb. Only problem was an excruciatingly loud customer, but staff can't be blamed for rude customers who could have drawn even more attention if told to be quiet. Thanks for a lovely meal we will return.
Great food, very good value at lunchtime. Very friendly staff, but cramped with tiny restaurant and lots of tables full of people!
Another excellent meal at this little jam in Chester. The restaurant is small however the food quality and excellent service makes this a remarkable place which we will return to again. You do have to book as there are a limited number of tables.
Excellent food - just delicious. Really inventive. Feels like a Michelin star restaurant. Excellent value lunch menu.
Slightly uncomfortable bathroom facilities
Will definitely visit again though
As always thoroughly enjoyed our lunch, thank you.
Can’t fault Chefs Table, great atmosphere, amazing food and great value, would recommend.
My hope and expectation was for a good meal in pleasant surroundings, the reviews suggested this would be the case. I was totally unprepared for a meal of the highest quality. Choice ingredients skilfully and imaginatively cooked, beautifully presented in a refined atmosphere by excellent staff. This was quite simply one of the best food experiences I have enjoyed in many months, nay years. I am no stranger to fine dining and this was right up there with the best Michelin dining experiences I have had. Was it value for money? Hell yeah! I would have happily paid half as much again and considered I had had good value. I would go out of my way to eat here again and at the risk of having trouble getting a booking again, I would strongly recommend anyone to eat here, it's a must if you are in the area. DO NOT MISS THIS!
Amazing food and high quality of service, the chefs table was a unique experience and I would definitely return! Noise levels from one larger table made things quite loud and this would be my only complaint.
Had a fantastic meal with friends. Both are vegetarian and there was a great choice. A salmon starter was fantastic as was the oxtail ravioli. Mains of Swordfish and slow cooked pork belly were superb. Only slight negative was a very limited wine list with three of the more reasonably priced options being unavailable. Overall a great experience with wonderful staff.
Food and atmosphere was great!
Marvelous food and great service. Had a fantastic evening
The food here is, in my opinion, Michelin Star quality! We were blown away by the beautiful presentation and then the tastes put together. Fantastic! We will definitely return. It was not cheap, and the service, although very near perfect, could have been slightly better. We asked for salt, the girl then took ages finding it but gave us an empty salt mill. Nitpicking I know but its the only area that could improve. It really was the best meal I've EVER eaten in Chester. And I've been around a VERY long time!
Fabulous food - exceptional & great service all staff extremely pleasant & experienced
skilled cooking and presentation, friendly efficient service and good value for money
Chefs table is one of my absolute favourite small restaurant experiences. The staff are always brilliant, the food is delicious and its a great little spot in town. The only tiny criticism I would have (and I am being REALLY picky) is that this visit our server didn't walk us through what was on each plate so we weren't exactly sure what each element was. They have done this on all our previous visits and its really useful so just an oversight I'm sure. We could have asked but were in a bit of a rush so just got on with it. The food was fantastic though!
Just gorgeous food and excellent service at reasonable prices. Will definitely visit again to try the vegetarian dishes. Loved it.
Whilst the Chef's table restaurant is quite modest in size and fairly spartan, where it comes to furnishings and decor, this is more than compensated for by the quality of food and service.
A wide enough range of delicious meals was available, from appetizers through to deserts and all of the quite discerning customers in our group were very impressed.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others, with a very slight cautionary note regarding the overall sense of 'luxury'. If that's what you;re looking for, this isn't the place but if it's top quality food you;re after, it certainly is!
Have meant to go to Chef’s Table for some time but been unable to book.
Went this week for a late lunch for my Wife’s birthday and loved it .
Food execeptional - dessert - rhubarb - one of the best if not the best I’ve ever had .
Service and atmosphere very good although could be a trifle noisy at times when full.
Exceptional value at lunchtime and will definitely revisit with family and friends.
We have visited quite a few times. As usual, we had excellent food at a very reasonable cost. This restaurant is one of the best in Chester.
Fantastic place to eat and very competitive prices. This is one of the gems in Chester.
We used to think that the Chef's Table was the best place to eat in Chester. After our recent dinner there, I'm not sure that this is still true. The vegetarian option was poor - it had no exciting flavours and was basically diced potato with peas and beans added. I had no idea what the soup was meant to be - it was listed as sweet potato with ginger and garlic, but was bland to put it mildly. The waitress charged us for the wrong bottle of wine - luckily we spotted her error. And it was extremely busy which meant it was too noisy for a quiet conversation. Where have all those delicious dishes full of subtle and exciting flavours gone? If they don't re-appear on the menu, I'm not sure that we'll be going back, which is a shame.
Fab food, excellent choice for meat eaters & Vegans. Thank you
Food amazing, great atmosphere, will definitely return.
