Absolutely amazing! The food is on another level. Without doubt the best restaurant in Chester.
Excellent as ever first visit this year! Felt secure clean and well looked after glorious food. We think best in Chester by some way.
Venison haunch delicious Stone bass Tom yum also delicious. Excellent starters and desserts. Never fails to impress
Fantastic place - food amazing and service exceptional.
An amazing lunch enjoyed by 2 foodies...1 carnivore extreme and 1 aspiring pescatarian/vegetarian/vegan.
Both diners very happy with carnivore choosing starter of surf and turf, then pork 7 ways and the picky veggieish person on the crispy cabbage starter with jerusalem artichoke main course etc. etc. etc....so many subtle delicious layers and tastes.
A beautiful and enjoyable lunch which left us both feeling very happy for the rest of the day.
Thank you to all at The Chef's Table.x
The food at Chefs Table is always outstanding - its definately my favourite local restaurant. Lunch is very good value and the standard of cooking is brilliant, can't recommend it highly enough.
Surf and Turf starter was superb; wish we had ordered some bread to mop up the wonderful sauce. The sea bass was excellent. My pork dish was good but two of the pork cuts were slightly over-cooked and somewhat chewy.
Service was first-class.
Chef's Table provides quality food cooked in an unusual way. If you prefer quantity to quality then it's not for you. Because the portions are not massive the you can enjoy every course without feeling over full and enjoy the each one for its own merit. No wonder in the present Covid sit
uation it's still difficult to find a table.
We wanted somewhere special for a special occasion and the Chef's Table didn't disappoint
Had a great meal thoroughly enjoyed by us both shame that the pandemic is effecting the other all experience well done to the chef’s table for trying to lift the national gloom
Excellent as always. Just a shame we can come for dinner or with friends at the moment.
Wonderful food, prepared and cooked to an excellent level
The food was top notch and I will certainly return the next time I am in Chester. Pity the restaurant itself wasn’t a bit more grand.
Absolutely fantastic food and a wonderful atmosphere
Lunch was fabulous, service was very good, I would recommend anyone to experience The Chefs Table.
Wonderful food artistically presented and full of flavour, pleasant staff as well. Many thanks
Our second visit this month and everything was as good as ever. The Chefs Table never disappoints.
Excellent as ever. It’s my favourite restaurant.
The service is spot on, The food, flavours and presentation are exquisite. I have eaten at Raymond Blanc's Quat' Saisons which was wonderful but for my husband and I Chef's Table is better. Love it.
Best restaurant in Chester. Never disappointed, always want to return.
Superb food, great experience, would definitely recommend and go again
Amazing food and service! The restaurant is small and simple, the food is amazing and one of the nicest meals I’ve ever had! Not expensive either! Would defiantly return!
Could be the best meal ive ever had. Great food, service, wine, cant fault any of it
Food outstanding, service just right. Highly recommend
Inspiring, innovative food, beautifully presented, seasonal and delicious. Calm, relaxed service and interesting cocktails and wines too. Clearly a lot of thought has gone into the menu choices. An absolute pleasure eating here.
The food is excellent, superb flavours always beautifully presented. The night we went the guinea fowl was superb. The service is informal, unobtrusive, and efficient. The atmosphere is quiet but friendly and relaxed. The wine list is a little expensive, but the less expensive wines are good value
Very pleasant dining experience with friendly staff
Gorgeous food and service.
Knowledgeable and passionate staff who smiled through their masks to allow their personality to show.
The food was fabulous, surf and turf to start and the pork 7 ways were highlights, all dishes were perfectly executed.
We will be back, and we’ll bring more friends when we’re allowed!
A very welcoming restaurant with a great team both front of house, and in the kitchen. A lot of thought has gone into the regularly up-dated menus, with real attention to detail around texture and taste of each dish.
Excellent food and great service, fantastic place to eat
Really lovely meal
Staff incredibly helpful and considerate
The food was absolutely fantastic, I had the lamb rump accompanied with an arancini ball and tomato sauce whilst my wife had the venison with a potato cake. These were cooked beautifully and devoured quickly.
The only downside was the pricing of the food and drinks, which made it a very expensive meal!
This however was expected and it didn’t spoil what was a lovely meal!
Love the time taken to create beautiful delicious dishes to suit vegans and meat-eaters alike .... no-one makes more effort x
Really Good. So pleased its opened up again. Food was really good and the service was great.
All 3 courses were just delicious. Great service, friendly warm atmosphere. Absolutely perfect. Will definitely visit again in the near future.
Lovely afternoon spent celebrating a friends 50 th birthday.
Great service, phenomenal food, good selection of drinks.
A small, perfectly formed place that really does deliver consistently.
I’ve been a few times over the years and it never disappoints. Imaginative but accessible plates that really do get the senses going.
Just book, turn up and Chefs Table will take care of the rest.
Our first time at Chef’s Table and we had a fabulous night. Food tasted amazing, presentation stunning. Staff very friendly and helpful. All in all, a great experience.
Was not impressed by the wine selection and because we hadn't ordered bottle wine meant we didnt hang around for pudding and went elsewhere for wine. But fantastic food and service. Clever well thought out menu! Loved it 🥰🥰 would 100% recommend xx
As usual the food was exceptional. The guinea fowl starter and the roast venison main course were amazing, we are still talking about the depth of flavours on the plate. If we manage to avoid a local lockdown we are planning to go again soon for lunch.
choice of beers if you don't drink wine poor & and expensive.
