We attended for the Monday burger night absolutely delicious and well worth the two for £15.00 would return again
Lovely Sunday Carvery, but was ver salty, which left 2 of the party unable to eat it, the only thing that let it down was the service , waited 45 minutes for our pre booked table, very long wait for starter had to go to the bar to get drinks that had been ordered with the waitress, and had to get up to find the desert menu, as waitress never came back with it, staff very young and appeared like they really didn’t want to be there, the bar man was very helpful, having said that we would return hoping that things may be better and not so salty, maybe let diners season their own meals to prevent over seasoning
Have been looking to come here for a number of years and finally made it, well, we were not disappointed, from our arrival to departure, everything was perfect. The service was super attentive and we were well looked after. We had the Carvery and a dessert and it was absolutely fantastic, very tasteful and plentiful. We will definetly be returning again to sample your daily menu and I will recommend you to others for a visit.
Good food, timed the vegetables wrong as not much left when I went to the counter. But tasty food anyway
Great food, reasonably priced. Would recommend, great family pub.
Lovely carvery roast and home made trifle will be back 👍
Not particularly busy as we were early. Great service fantastic food even had the opportunity to speak with the chef who was absolutely lovely as was the barman/waiter.
Lovely evening no loud drinkers great
Very poor slow service for the 2nd time eating in this pub. 1st time we arrived at 7.30pm and got our main course at 9.30pm.
On Sunday we were seated on a small round table in front of the servery which was actually the walkway to the carvery. We were constantly nudged by patrons going to get their lunch. It became very embarrassing as many remarks and apologies were made by the customers.
We were unable to stay for a 2nd drink or a pudding. The response upon complaining was that a manager was unavailable and a message would be left for him to call us back. As yet 3 days later, no phone call.
On both occasions we booked a table in advance so no excuse!
Very disappointing, we will not return again.
Lovely Sunday roast cavery really enjoyed meal but thought £10 for a large glass of wine was a bit steep
Excellent service, well presented and flavoursome food, lovely evening out
Had a family lunch here and was very pleased with the whole experience and so were all our party. Great friendly service and lovely surroundings. Lovely out on the terrace for a look at the old Aylesford bridge, although not brave enough to eat out there in October. Food was superb and good value. Nice selection of beers and wine. Would definitely recommend this olde worlde pub in a lovely historic village setting. You can park in the high street if you are lucky but there are 2 car parks at the end of the high street, just a few minutes walk away.
Funny smell inside. Ate outside instead - nice view of river. Food slow coming (45 mins). Had fish and chips - fish okay but chips had funny aftertaste. Service was friendly and helpful. Menu not over-priced.
Waited over an hour, for main courses, service was not great and neither was the food when it finally arrived. Would’ return.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Showed me the Vegan menu and full menu even though it was not on as they had ab festival menu. Just check they have the full menu before booking.
Unfortunately my meal was extremely over cooked or had been reheated a number of times. It really shouldn’t have got to the table. A waiter asked how the meals were to which I replied OK to mine and explained. He suggested getting another but I had lost faith the younger waiter appeared and dealt with the issue very well I obviously left the meal and was not charged for it. Other meals were better but still over cooked. Very disappointed as we had taken someone there because of previous positive experiences this was our first negative experience with food and hopefully our last.
Booked for the Sunday carvery after a recommendation and wasn’t disappointed. Food was really good and fantastic value. The staff made you very welcome, so I will be going back. If you haven’t been, book yourself in!
The steak was amazing the duck spring roll was lovely, just wish the table had been bigger for the steak which comes in hot stone. Not comfortable with limited space.
Lovely food My husband had Monk fish
I had a burger good service will go there again
Great food, great atmosphere would definitely recommend
Having booked the table via your site and received two reminders, I was surprised to find no table for four either laid up or available when we arrived on time.
We were offered two “bistro” round tables side by side.
The server was rushed off his feet and it was necessary to go to the bar ourselves for drinks.
It was a pity that there was not more rice with the thai green curry, rather than naan bread since my husband is gluten free so could not eat it anyway. One of our party said his curry was cold as it had been put out on another table we were eventually offered before the rest of the guests were served.
This was our second visit. The first time it was much nicer which is why we returned.
