Overall we were very happy with the cherry tree. The food and service was absolutely excellent. The only thing I could complain about was the lack of draft and bottled beers for the men. That said when we did mention it they explained they were shutting for the revamp and hadn’t stocked up. As way of apology they took the bottle of wine of our bill so couldn’t have done anymore for us. Very happy and will be back when it re opens have already recommended to friend and family. Thank you Cherry Tree we had a lovely evening.

The chicken we had in the pitta was processed chicken which wasn't the best but the rest of the food was nice. Also the waitress did not tell us that the dessert pot for the melt in the middle pudding was scorching hot. This resulted in my fiance burning her hand. We do like the cherry tree but this was not our best experience.

My first time at this restaurant and I couldn't fault it in anyway.
The place was quite busy for a Friday lunch. The service was timed very well and was spot on... Thanks Dave.
We ate off the three course lunch menu and both of us had three lovely dishes. We will be dining there again. I can understand why it was voted the best restaurant in Bolton.

We had a family lunch, some of us ate from the special 2/3 course menu and I had a hallumi salad which was very good. We would all recommend this pub/restaurant and shall visit again when we are in the area in April!

Absolutely amazing.
Never been here before but I can honestly say this is one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in a long time.
The portion sizes are very generous, the food was very tasty and the atmosphere was busy but nice.
Food was set out very well and with care, you can really tell the staff take pride in their work.
Prices were reasonable for the amount of effort went into the food! We had 2 starters, 2 mains, 1 pudding and 4 drinks (2 alcoholic) and it came to £60, amazing!
We went on a Thursday night and there was no empty tables, I think that says it all!!

So gutted that it’s closed for my birthday for an extension and refurb but we will definitely be back when it re-opens!!

Great menu, great meal and great staff who went out of their way to help. My friend left her glasses on the table and before she’d even noticed, I got a call from the restaurant to say they had been found. Excellent customer service.

The conservatory is a bit echoing but generally only noisy when people arrived and were a bit noisy.
Alex was our main waitress and is delightful.
Overall we really enjoyed our evening and wouldn’t hesitate to go again😁

This was a birthday treat and what a treat. I reviewed The Cherry Tree before but today’s food and service were excellent. I asked on arrival if they could arrange for a birthday treat. It was no problem and a lovely treat at that. Well done to all at The Cherry Tree you never disappoint!

We come from Manchester so it is quite a drive but well worth it. third time there although slightly more expensive than some places the food, staff and seating arrangements are outstanding and the level of food and presentation is second to none and very good value for money.

We’ve always experienced a warm welcome accompanied by excellent service from staff who take the time to ask how you’re keeping. The menu has something for everyone ranging not only in product but in size and to cover dietary needs/choices. Plentiful if you’re hungry or a lighter bite or sandwich if you’re not. Good value is the 2 or 3 course menu with a good choice of starters, mains and desserts. They also offer Afternoon Tea. Looking forward to our next visit before they close for a few weeks to finish their extension.

I spent a lovely Valentine's evening with my husband here. From going through the door until leaving it was perfect. The staff are excellent, really pleasant and helpful and we were never looking around for someone, there was always somebody at hand. The food was delicious and we thought really good value for money, they also catered very well for my husbands gluten free needs. The only very small downside was that the live vocalist was a bit loud especially for Valentine's night. Other than that I would highly recommend the Cherry Tree, we will definitely be back.

We came for lunch, we were greeted by a friendly and attentive waitress who showed us to our table. We order drinks, my partner order the Love Potion Gin and I ordered a pint of Asahi. The gin was really nice. For starters we ordered pea & ham soup and Oven baked Garlic & Chilli Prawns, both were really tasty and the pizza bread that accompanied the prawns was great. For Mains we ordered the Cumberland sausage and the Tuscan Marinated Lamb Rump. The Lamb was cooked medium and was one of the best Lamb dishes I've tasted. The Cumberland sausage had a pink edge around one side of the sausage and this put my partner off but she enjoyed the mash and vegetables that accompanied. Desserts were white chocolate & orange cheesecake and sticky toffee pudding. Both were really lovely and the sticky toffee pudding was a very generous portion. Overall great experience for our first visit and will be returning.

This was our 3rd visit and once again the food and the service was exceptional. Our waitress Mya was simply the best. If we had one small gripe it would be that the music was a little loud. We will be visiting again.

We visited on Monday evening and I will be honest we chose this place because lots of restaurants are closed on Mondays. The bar was very quiet, the restaurant area had quite a few occupied tables but I would imagine no where near as busy as more popular nights. The service from arriving to leaving was top notch and particularly the lady who did front of house was absolutely charming. We stayed after the meal to have a drink in the bar and despite being the only ones left for at least the last hour and a half, we weren't at any point made to feel unwelcome or rushed into leaving. The food was fabulous and I can definitely recommend the steak and the chicken, leak and ham pie.... Mmmm Mmmm!! Far too full for a pudding but they sounded delicious from the menu description. Will definitely be first choice in future!
