Lovely place, nice food. Unfortunately I found a large hair in my starter which was quickly dealt with by a member of staff who observed what had occurred. I was slightly dissapointed that there was no reduction to my bill or even a complimentary drink or something was offered.

We haven’t been to the Cherry Tree for a couple of years now but having seen some of the stunning dishes on the Facebook page recently we decided to visit. We were disappointed to find that the dishes we had seen online weren’t on the menu when we go there. We did ask but we’re advised the menu changes daily.
The food we had was lovely and the services great, but the visit was slightly tainted by not being able to have the dishes we had intended

This was our first visit to the cherry tree, and if won't be the last. On arrival, we were greeted and shown straight to our table, no waiting around. The service was exceptional, and the food was outstanding. The staff were very polite and helpful, and the prices very reasonable.

Very nice meal although portion sizes could be improved for the price charged. £25 for a fillet is acceptable but with half a tomato and small flat top mushroom with a few chips is somewhat disappointing. In a London restaurant on Saturday and paid less for a very good standard. We would visit again but feel it is overpriced.

First, but definitely not the last visit to this fabulous restaurant. The staff, the service, the food... Oh my god, the food absolutely first class. If you haven't been here yet, you need to ask yourself one massive question "WHY NOT?"

Excellent choice of food which is beautifully prepared and well presented. Staff were attentive and friendly. Restaurant was busy but had a relaxed atmosphere and there was a broad range of clientele which shows how popular this restaurant is. Would definitely recommend and is suitable for a quick lunch or special occasion.

We returned with friends on the basis of an earlier experience when we had found the Market Menu to be a good choice at a reasonable price. This time unfortunately the choice of mains on the Market menu was very limited. Haddock fish & chips, smoked haddock, pork belly and a vegetarian pasta. For us this was not a well balanced choice and frankly took the edge off the occasion as 3 off us ended up defaulting to fish & chips.

Our meal at the Cherry Tree for my daughter's birthday was, as usual, outstanding. The food was cooked to perfection and plenty of it. The problem for us is choosing which of the excellent dishes to have, and believe me we can both be picky with food.
Very good value for money.
Always very clean. Staff are always friendly and helpful.
I would recommend to anyone.

My friend and I had a table booked for 1:30 pm on Monday. I was surprised to see that the dining room was about 2/3 to 3/4 full. There was a large party of eight in the middle of the room and due to the acoustics of the room this made for quite noisy dining experience.
We did seem to be kept waiting a few more minutes then we would’ve expected to be served initially.
We opted for the market menu at £15.95 for two courses. The dessert I wanted was not on the menu so I opted for a starter and a main.
I started with the crispy beef salad which was quite nice and tasty, served with some salad with oriental dressing on it. For main I opted for the smoked haddock. This item was not on the main menu. It was served on the top of some cabbage and chorizo, new potatoes and some sort of creamy haddock sauce with a poached egg on top and watercress. The whole dish was very tasty and just enough for a lunchtime, I probably could’ve managed a dessert but then I would’ve been too full.
On the whole the food was very nice and everything else we saw coming out looked very good, not the cheapest place around but you get what you pay for.
I would recommend this restaurant and will be re-visiting at some point in the near future.
