Went here with 5 friends so we booked ahead.
The food is delicious - freshly cooked fish with the best crunchy batter. Nice chunky chips - I ate them with the curry sauce!
Really good value at £10.50 for fish, chips, a side and bread & butter.
For a little place they have a good selection of beers and cider and the housewife is ok.
Look forward to eating there again when next in the area.
Excellent special LIGHT batter on request. Great fresh tasting fish (plaice for me) and crispy chunky chips. All four of us agreed best chippie around.
Loses a star -at least- for surprise news at end of meal that they don’t take cards. Even if you always travel with your handy card reader to credit a new online payee you would have been stymied. Nobody knew the Chip Shed’s Banking details.
Come on Chip Shed. No warning on web site. No warning on flyers. You can do better than this.
Best fish and chips I have ever tasted. We recommend to everyone
We booked a table for our visit to Warwick,as on a previous visit it got really busy. We had to change the time of our meal, and they were only too happy to accommodate
Gorgeous cod and chips with mushy peas, and home made tartar sauce.
You can't beat this place.
Also have some craft beers and wine
Brilliant for a catch up. Food was lovely and reasonable. Would definatley go again
We were disappointed unfortunately the chips were luck warm and very chewie. I think they had been kept warm since lunch. As a very large party came in just after us I requested some fresh chips and they were excellent. I will try again in the future but when ordering ask for a freshly cooked food.
Fish and chips here are definitely better cooked and tastier than elsewhere. Chips are fantastic and batter on fish crispy and delicious. Took the family here a and everyone well satisfied.
This is the best fish and chip restaurant in the UK. The food is always amazing, the service with a smile and everything is perfect.
Very nice Fish n chips, high quality food here and nice and cosy place to eat in,
will definitlety go back to enjoy more of it !
Balance between batter and fish is very nice, also had delicious onion rings :-)
Yummiest gluten free fish and chips. EVER!
Went out for meal early evening. Exceeded all expectations. Food portions large, tasty and piping hot. Good choice of menu. Staff attentive. Would recommend booking table at busy times as only small. They also do takeaway if you prefer.
I had the best fish and chips ever in a very friendly atmosphere at a fair price. Great!
Great food probably the best fish chips and mushy peas in the midlands very large portions
The food was good, the waiters were very friendly and all at a very reasonable price.
We booked a table at Chip Shed (online) in order to enjoy fish and chips after an evening at the nearby racecourse.
The staff were very polite and friendly. Unfortunately there was no haddock at that time but the cod was excellent. The portions were generous and the atmosphere friendly.
We will definitely be going back in the future.
Lovely Food with great service, Definitely recommended.
The best fish nd chips around. But onion rings could have been better.
Good, friendly service. Good sized portions. Excellent fish and mushy peas, chips could have been a little hotter.
Best fish and chips I’ve ever had! Great selection of fresh fish
Always made to feel welcome. Best fish and chips in the area.
The fish and chips were fantastic. Very crispy batter, succulent soft white fish, and not greasy at all! The portion size was more than adequate - too much if anything but you can’t resist it tastes so good! Good value for money considering we ate in, and it was equivalent of going out to a restaurant for a meal. We felt we got our money’s worth!
Simple nice food, and nice venue. Service with a smile. Only slight negative is that you can't use bank cards.....but apart from that a good experience.
Great food; great service; great place!
The team at The Chip Shed are clearly passionate about serving great quality fish & chips - the food is freshly cooked and not at all greasy. If ordering a takeaway, you may need to wait a few minutes, but this is a good sign that the food is cooked to order (and of the popularity of The Chip Shed).
One of the few places where you sit and eat fish & chips, the indoor seating area is "cosy". There is plenty of room at each table, but there are a lot of tables, so getting in and out of your seat can be tricky. In the summer, you can enjoy your food al fresco in the courtyard at the rear.
The Chip Shed is also licensed so you can enjoy a beer or wine with your food.
All in all, a great place to go!
Nice food, standard chip shop choices. No better than my regular chippy but more expensive. Don’t take cards, which was surprising especially considering high prices.
Worth a try as an alternative and no complaints on the food, just pricey for what it is.
2nd time of having a sit down meal at Chipshed Warwick... great food & staff
Lovely fish and chips, nice place, good server - all you need really!
Heard about Chip Shed on social media, have had a few takeaway meals in the past , food is fresh & cooked to order , & plenty of choices ... had an opportunity to eat at the Chip Shed , Will definitely be back again
Wife found out about this place online and thought we would give it ago, we were not disappointed. We both opted for the jimmy buchans langostine scampi.it was delicious and the chips were excellent. Would highly recommend
Very good food. Friendly service.
Metal chairs uncomfortable - need some cushions!
Very busy on Friday evening, had to wait around 40 minutes for the food to be served. Well worth the wait and the staff were very pleasant.
Great fish and chips as usual, service excellent and good value for money. Simple and well chosen beer menu as well
Having lived in Birmingham then Dorset before moving to Warwick, this was one of the reasons I moved....best chip shop in the world! The halloumi is amazing.
Luke warm water for the tea , which was changed , pie was barely warm inside, chips just ok ..We had high expectations based on your reviews. Seemed food was left on the side to go cold , prefer was given to take out customers.
Very good fish and chips (especially the fish and mushy peas)
Both times we have visited we have had excellent service and a great meal. Hard to find a good fish and chip shop however this is on par with famous Whitby restraunts.
We've been twice to this little place now, it's quite close to Warwick Castle and was just the best when we were cold and hungry after being at the Castle all day. It is a superb fish and chip shop with around 20 covers at the rear based around 5 tables, but probably wise to book as it is popular. Our child has eaten really well on both occasions and they have a simple but excellent children's menu. The service is good and they have a gluten free night on Thursdays I believe but you'd need to check. All in all, we love it, just wish there was something similar on our doorstep as it's miles from where we live. But we'll go there again when next in the area. Highly recommend the scampi...
Lovely traditional fish & chips. Good service from friendly staff. Will defiantely return
