We had a table booked for 9:00 pm. It wasn't ready so we were invited to have a drink at the bar. It happens, we understood that. We were shown to our table after around 15 minutes. As soon as we sat down we noticed the place settings were set with paper napkins, which we thought was unusual for a restaurant of this reputation. We ordered our food and some drinks. The drinks seemed to take an age to arrive, so we asked another waiter when it was likely that we would be getting them. He apologized and rushed off. When he returned, he presented us with a glass of champagne and a red wine. which was not what we had ordered. He then asked us what we had ordered, "a glass of white wine and a beer" we said, "What wine and what beer" he asked. We couldn't remember the brand of beer as it was recommended by the first waiter. "Can't you just ask the waiter who took our order?" we asked. "Who was that" he asked.
This was the start of an evening that went down hill rapidly. We didn't get served our food until 10:00 pm and there was a really long gap between our starters and the main course. The restaurant was busy, but it didn't appear understaffed, not front of house anyway, We obviously didn't know what was going on in the kitchen.
Not once did anyone approach us to apologise for the delays, only when we asked why there was a delay they would say "sorry we are very busy".... Well what do you know? it was Saturday night! If they couldn't cope when it was busy, then they don't deserve to be.
I run a business in the service sector myself, I know that things go wrong sometimes, and I know how frustrating it can be, but I will always put my customers first, never shrug my shoulders and make excuses and will try and mitigate the situation as best I can. In that vein, they did't charge us for some of our drinks, which we assume was intentional, but was not mentioned.
As a foot note when our neighbouring table was empty and being re-set, it was with linen napkins! How strange!

I would not recommend anyone to go there. When we arrived we were asked to go to the bar and have a drink there even though we had a reservation and we saw empty tables. We said we would if we would get the drinks on the house. Suddenly it was no problem getting our table. I think that was a trick to get the guests to buy more drinks. The service was awful the whole evening. There was a different waiter for every single matter. The waiters were not very well trained (even though they tried) but for this kind of restaurant it was poor. The food was average and half of it was cold. I had better Indian food at any street food market stall in London. This was not at all a dining experience but rather "how can we make the most money". Really poor and disappointing.

I have been to the Cinnamon Club twice before while traveling in 2018 and had an absolute fabulous experience. So much so that I have recommended this to anyone I know headed to London as a much......after tonight: never again. Terribly rude staff. And the food is not made with love any longer. Terribly disappointed in our experience.

Our server was incredibly condescending and snobbish. He acted as if he wanted us out of the establishment as soon as possible, constantly speaking over us as we ordered our food.
We are quite confident this treatment was due to our race, as the surrounding tables were not afforded such treatment.
Not what one expects when visiting a Michelin star restaurant, put a dampener on my graduation celebrations. Would not return.

The food was excellent, even better than we anticipated, we both had the taster menu which they changed as my wife does not eat fish, the attention from staff was both attentive yet understated, the Sommelier took the time to discuss all the wine we had with our food in great detail, we went for lunch and stayed for 3 hrs.

The food was excellent as usual, but the service was very slow. We were left forgotten in the downstairs bar and it was an hour before we got any food and another hour before we got our main course.
But great food, great surroundings and great ambiance. I thoroughly recommend it and will go again.
We also had a great meal at the Cinnamon Kitchen in Oxford recently. Do go to both.

We had a lovely experience at The Cinnamon Club. I arrived a bit early so enjoyed a drink in the downstairs bar before being taken into the grand old library for our dinner. We went for the autumn menu which we felt was great value and we got a free cookbook with it which was a nice touch. The waiter called Raul was especially helpful, polite and was working hard to tell us about the dishes and ingredients. Thanks Raul!

Great food in a cool venue. Sharing chicken platter was awesome. Punchy pricing would be the only downside as you can get near tasting food for a quarter of the price.

The food is still very good at Cinnamon club but the service was horrible. We were a group of six and waited more than 70 minutes for our starters and bread service. And another 30 minutes for the mains to be served.

Very disappointed, booked for my husband’s birthday, no welcome at reception, very poor service, had to ask several times for our wine and to get a napkin. The food however was delicious, we had the tasting menu. Overall I expected Better for a Michelin star restaurant!

Interesting cuisine with some very unique flavours, different than what we get in the United States. Service was excellent. Wine pricing bordered on obscene but plenty of choices from all over the world.

We waited 40 minutes for our table and then had to wait another 30 minutes for our food. We were then placed in the side room (away from the main room) which obviously is very quiet and not as nice. Food was nothing special

Overall a very good experience - wonderful venue, some really interesting flavours. We ate at peak Saturday evening time, but service was a bit slow at the stage of drinks and ordering, but was good thereafter. We liked the range across meat, fish and veggie choices, and the interesting pairings. The autumn special menu was a mini- tasting menu and was good fun.

If you are looking for an authentic indian dining experience do not go here. This restaraunt perfectly caters for the white stiff upper lip demographic that it seems to draw in. Those who frankly have no concept of what good indian food is and simply pay for location and pretentiousness. We ordered the paneer kofta for two, which simply tasted of dry besan. The butter chicken had 3 boney legs of chicken with about a tablespoon of meat combined, served in a tepid sauce. The bombay style vegetable had one vadda pav bread and a basic stew of vegetables dosed in chillies. will not be returning.
