Breathtakingly good food. Absolutely stunning. There is a certain formality seen in the servers but they are all extremely competent.

Was disappointed with Cinnamon Club. Food was ok but not a lot of variety. We had the full tasting menu and a lot of the courses seemed very similar. The were a few highlights but certainly not enough to justify the very substantial price. Service was not the standard we expected.

Highly suggest this unusual, beautiful atmosphere. It doesn’t look like a restaurant because it wasn’t and they kept the aesthetics. Delicious food, great service, would definitely recommend others to try this place!

The food was very good. You have to make sure the table is in the old library, we have been in one of the other rooms and the ambience is not so nice there and it was cold too. Also some of our food has been cold when it arrived at the table.

The food at Cinnamon Club was exceptional - however, the experience was marred by wildly inattentive and nearly neglectful service. After we were seated and served water, we waited nearly half an hour to even get our drink and started orders placed. A table just two tables away was seated after us and was already working on a glass of wine and bubbling on starters before we even had the opportunity to order - they had a different and obviously more attentive server. For a restaurant of this calibre, we were surprised at how poor the service was. It was laughable.

However, the food was superb and pulled enough weight to still outweigh the regrettable service. Even so, I would feel the need to preface any recommendations for this establishment to friends with a disclaimer about the service or lack thereof. Even though our server in particular seemed neglectful and forgetful that we were even seated in her section, the wait staff overall seemed to be stretched a little thin even for a Thursday night - I’d be hesitant to go on a weekend night.

Lunch was lovely, but additional sides and bread we had not requested were brought without comment and then charged to the bill. A disingenuous approach that really spoiled the overall enjoyment.

Nice restaurant, great food. However we were served someone else’s food on two different occasions throughout the evening, which we had to query, as we were on the ‘tasting menu’. Just the small attention to detail was lacking.

Incredibly disappointing- The staff, for some reason, was overwhelmed. We were there for 2.5 hours and didn't have time for our originally planned evening. We didn't have a drink for 35 minutes, and that was after asking twice. Other customers around us were complaining as well. One of our pre-set meals didn't even come with all the small dishes it supposedly included. We didn't want to ask for the missing dishes because we felt it would take too long. When I left, I told the maître d' 'Great food, bad service.' He didn't apologise-- he simply looked at me with a blank stare.

We had wanted to visit the Cinammon Club for a long time. We were pleased when we saw the mail saying that we should not leave a tip. But ultimately this policy seems mistaken as the staff could not care less and this gave us a frustrating experience.
The menu was all quite spicy and there was not a very inspiring choice. One of our party ordered a rare steak and it came medium well done.
The biggest problem was the service. There were plenty of staff but it was hard to get their attention and they were kind of grumpy .
For the price we cannot recommend this restaurant .

We went because of the OpenTable offer for fixed menu. Most of the grumble is about service. We were sat down without even a glass of water for 20 minutes and were brought the a la carte menu. Eventually food was ordered but a Kingfisher beer ordered was returned twice till a decently cold one arrived. Also my wine glass was taken away before I had finished the bottle. However apologies were made and staff were friendly, just seemed low on numbers for the night.
3 course fixed meal is well worth it but is only available after 21:00. I had the kingfish and was surprised by the wasabi accompanying. It worked well though
Food and ambiance make this a restaurant that is worth a visit. I had previously gone there only for lunches when I worked nearby about 10 years ago and the food then was excellent so standards in the kitchen have certainly been maintained.

Been to Cinnamon Club a few times over the past 10 years. Food is always sublime and just a delight. We had the tasting menu with wine flight for a special occasion which did not disappoint. Wonderful wine pairings!!
The only thing that wasnt quite right or per previous standards is the service. Staff are wonderful and polite but food timing was a bit stop start and at one point we sat for almost 40 minutes without a drink or food. It was at busiest time in the evening and because we were having a lovely evening, waiting for such delicious food wasnt such a big issue but really would have been nice to be offered a top up of our wine in the meantime. I noticed that some others around were waiting too for long periods of time between courses too. Bit of a shame. Not sure what was happening in the kitchen.
Will still return to Cinnamon Club.

Excellent service; knowledgeable Sommellier
Fantastic food... Lamb rack from Romney Marsh was exquisite and issued amazingly well with a good Barolo.
House Champaign was way above average.
Excellent wine menu.
Wait staff pleasant, courteous, appropriately attentive. We were not rushed, nor were we kept waiting.
Ambience and atmosphere were spectacular.

Looking forward to the next visit.

Hello,

We planned a generous corporate evening following previously successful events. I was told that our 12 man table could be accommodated by 2 groups of 6, that were described as “right next to each other”, however when we turned up it was definitely not the case at all. It created a rather negative atmosphere and ruined the purpose of the evening which was to be recognising our management team and their hard work. I was embarrassed in front of my team and CEO to say the least, and will not be coming back there. Great shame since we have had several events there before, and was planning to hire the venue for our Christmas party too.

Fantastic food, the flavours really brought back memories of the year I spent working in India.

The service on the other hand was absolutely slap-dash.

Our waiter was largely uninterested in serving us (we were the only casually dressed diners at lunch), we repeatedly needed to catch his attention, he proved very forgetful when it came to drinks, failed to explain any of the foods, placed dishes wherever on our table, never refilled water glasses, nor offered a new bottle of water when ours was exhausted.

Furthermore it was extremely difficult to understand his English and we had to ask him to repeat things on several occasions.

A glass of diet coke also came in a tiny serving, masked with a huge volume of ice. Really Cinnamon Club? You aren't fooling anyone! That was £4 for some frozen water with around 100ml of drink.

Despite the excellent food, we were all sorely disappointed in what should have been a premium experience for the price you pay.

I and three friends had lunch at the Cinnamon Club. As always the ambience was excellent with the book-lined walls and a large number of fellow-diners. As expected the food was very good, whilst the service was efficient but somewhat unengaging. However, the overall experience was very good, and I shall be returning.

I wasn't overlly impressed by the food and the service wasn't that great. My partner had only 2 glasses of beer during 2 hours of experience, this shows how much abondoned we were, and rearely asked to have more drinks.
Our table wasn't crumbed down as others were. Not sure if I will be back.

Wonderful food experience. My dish was very spicy though and the menu did not specify spice, still delicious though. Our waiter was a bit abrupt and not attentive to our table, we waited 25 minutes before we even got a drink order in. Once we got the attention of another waitress, the service was much better. It was loud in the restaurant with children, which wasn’t appropriate for a 9:30pm Saturday seating. Spent a bit too much for a mediocre experience, although food was nice.

This restaurant was phenomenal. I didn’t know what to expect as I had never had upscale Indian food but it was perfect. Food was flavorful and perfectly prepared. Only downside was our waiter who seemed to not be handle his workload but the head waiter made up for him. I would go back to this restaurant over and over.

Service could have been better. We had to ask for more wine from our wine bottle, kept in a cooler a distance from us several times.
Apparently , I was supposed to receive a complimentary glass of champagne on arrival but this was not offered.
The girl who took my soaking wet coat and bag thankfully remembered these items, as I had misplaced the cloakroom ticket. I am grateful to her for being vigilant. Thank you !
The waiter who took our food orders was very pleasant and completely spot on, with regards to asking us when we were ready to order. Very pleasant and affable.

New food options are lacklustre and service has become almost comically awful at breakfast. Do not go if you have less than 90 minutes to get through a pot of coffee and food that has spent far too long on a hot plate.

We enjoyed a lovely meal at the Cinnamon Club, we had the set menu and every course was extremely tasty, the lamb and chicken tikka starters were big highlights and the value for the set menu is great with a Bellini included. Unfortunately we had to wait for a long time for our dessert to arrive, but other than that we had a very enjoyable meal

Booked for a 7.30pm table - we were made to wait for over an hour in a dingy basement bar, before finally heading upstairs.

We were given a round of beers on the house as compensation (which we asked for, not proactively offered), and these were then included on the bill at full price.

Food and the atmosphere in the main dining room was very good however, albeit overpriced.

This is a lovely place for a special meal. We had the set lunch - plenty of choice, although boringly we all chose the same main, so didnt get to see the others. Everything was beautifully presented and portions were a reasonable size so we actually had room for dessert and didnt feel bloated all afternoon. Would definitely go again for a special occasion.

Set into a beautifully preserved library, this restaurant does not miss on ambience. Service was excellent: careful but not invading. Food was simply great. We arrived 35 mins early to have a drink. We were directed to the library bar (no longer a cosy space but a bright bar with uncomfortable seating and aggressive air con) after 40 mins we were shown to our table having not managed to get drinks (ordered but not received). We complained and the drinks are comped. We were seated very close to other tables and treated to loud phone calls and incessant selfies. The food was good. However, dessert took a long time due to “a printer error” and was again comped. For the price we expected the slick service we had come to expect when frequent diners 3-4 years ago (pre toddler) but we won’t be rushing back now.
