Pure excellence. The experience was superb even though numbers were reduced because of coronavirus. Both food and service were superb.
Really outstanding food - every single bite was a taste experience that was delightful. Thoroughly enjoyed it. We were unfortunate to have a waitress who wasn't great (maybe new) and either didn't understand us or just didn't know the answer to things and didn't want to say, but the other staff were lovely. They made a fuss of my friend for her birthday. Lovely evening.
Reaction on wrong invoice of management was poor not professional
we thad travelled 70 miles to eat at the restaurant. This was our 5th visit. The staff looked uninterested and my friend almost left the restaurant without eating. He had to be cajoled into coming back. The person serving us was a bit patronising, telling us that "This is England" when asked about the types of whiskey served in the restaurant. Surely we are aware of the region we are in!Honestly, this was not what we were expecting with our previous experience.
The food was good;perhaps the saving grace.
Amazing food , great service, staff were very welcoming and friendly
I feel slightly embarrassed to order Butter Chicken at a Michelin star restaurant considering what’s on the menu BUT the butter chicken here is amazing and so hard to pass up. It’s utterly superb, and a perfect dish to share. Every time I have it here I leave well satisfied and happy. By far one of my favourite restaurants in London and the setting is fantastic. Perfect setting for a date, or private time with a partner as you’re sat far away from everyone to be in your own private bubble. Love it here
Delicious food in beautiful surroundings - will definitely return to eat here.
Very enjoyable early Sunday evening meal, although it is not clear on the website the Sunday Jazz is only lunch time...
The black cod and venison were superb and black dahl (rare find in UK) really reminded us of our 6 months in Pune!
The restaurant was very quiet and we were a bit surprised no one offered to take our coats.
Good food, good wine and drinks, good service, felt at home very comfortable a nice experience.
Great meal, a perfect lunch - good service and lovely atomosphere
Lovely venue for a restaurant with good ambience. Set menu: some dishes were style over substance e.g. too much yoghurt in starter dish, mutton was a bit tough (saw someone sending it back to have it taken off bone), colourful dessert but should have concentrated on getting flavours right. Been here previously and enjoyed the food so this time was a bit disappointing.
Excellent, couldn't be better. Epic setting, food, and service
Felt like Faulty Towers. Food was average and it is expensive. Does not compare well with other restaurants. Drinks took almost 40 minutes. Would not rush back
wonderful service and meal! Can't wait to come back!
Amazing experience for my husband’s birthday. The food was excellent and the service impeccable. Thank you
Did not enjoy the food at all. Beyond bland, and made my friend and I both slightly noxious afterwards. Highly disappointing. Good ambiance and character however.
Excellent food. Good variety and different flavour combinations. Food servings were more than adequate.
Simply divine and a taste sensation. Highly recommend the tasting menu.
Not the good experience we used to have. Many other restaurants providing better experience in every way
I booked this for my partners 50th birthday, after he had seen it on a programme. It was a fantastic evening, the ambience was great, the food was amazing and the waiting staff were very attentive. We will definitely return and have recommended it to some of our friends who had previously told us that they were interested in going.
Located in the former Colonial Office's Library, the restaurant has a distinguished atmosphere and surroundings. A former colleague and I now meet there to discuss how to put the world to rights! It makes a convenient location near Westminster Abbey for us both.
Signalling in advance for a quieter table, the restaurant gave us a comfy corner table. The place was not full but it was a Friday and some politicians would have gone back to their constituencies.
The 3 course lunch is a good choice for business style lunches though a word of caution that this Indian restaurant does not mark on its menu which of its dishes are more spicy/hotter than others as evidenced by the same chicken my friend and I ordered: mine came with plain rice; his with a ratatouille because I had asked for a less hot dish. This is not a cheap restaurant, but service is good and the food is tasty
Usually love CC but this time food was a real disappointment especially the plaice fillet. Ended up being poor value for money.
Wonderful evening, no being rushed and great recommendations for the food.
One of us was unfortunately running late due to transport issues and by the time they arrived, the restaurant had filled up and we had finished our first glass of wine and bread basket. As a result, service was quite slow but that is understandable, since they were probably waiting for our late arrival to peruse the menu properly. One person asked for advice on the menu since he couldn’t decide what to have: the advice was sensible and good, and that person really, really enjoyed his meal.
Staff are lovely: food is beyond good, it is exceptional, and the room is delightful. If you want the best value, go for the set lunch. But the a la carte brings delights of its own. We have been several times - and we will definitely be going again!! A serious cut above Cinnamon Soho in terms of smartness, but just a lovely place to spend a special evening... with the charming touch of a little cake at the end of it for the birthday guest. Thank you!
We decided to go for the tasting menu, which was nice, but not amazing. We were very shocked that this did not include any rice or narn and we found ourself eating mash potato! On reflection not the best choice of food perhaps... Wine pairing was very good though
There is not much that has not been said really, I make an effort to go to a nice restaurant once a month!
Saying that this was not a nice restaurant it was fantastic the food was unbelievable every bit was sublime!
The staff were all brilliant unfortunately I cannot remember the name of the our waitress but she made the whole experience that little extra.
I know you should expect that kind of service when you pay that sort of money but we walked out of there just saying one of the best meals ever (deff in the top 3)
All I can add is a thank you to all the staff you made our evening special
Wonderful meal in lovely room and building. A lovely part of our London night out.
Slow service, food lukewarm, over priced. DON'T BOTHER
We’ve been few times in the restaurant and unfortunately this time we felt left down. All the starters were cold, but being bite size and part of the tasting menu it was hard to understand whether it was on purpose or not. The waitress confirmed it shouldn’t have been cold. Rest of the food was fine.
Service was very slow and overall we didn’t enjoy the evening as expected.
Bland breakfast, service slow. Great potential but it needs to raise its game.
Had a fabulous evening dining with friends. Some of the sauces were just divine. My only complaint is that both the bar and restaurant were slow to take our orders and the wine list extremely pricey. Nonetheless would go back!
My wife and the ladies went at the weekend .. so the boys thought we would meet for a client lunch.
I love the decor and the ambience , terrific
Main course was sent back to the chef twice - undercooked cod (raw). Excellent service and assistance from the staff. Lovely setting - just bad evening for the cod.
Food undercooked and tasteless. Service non existent. Very expensive for truly bad food.
Great service from start to finish! Nice drink at the bar, escorted to a lovely table, attentive but subtle service! Excellent food!

This is a very classy Indian cuisine experience
Service was quite slow and inattentive.
Waited over an hour for a table we had reserved. Finally sat down and they had a prix fixe menu at 100£ / person for the evening, which they didn’t tell us when we made the reservation. Asked the people next to us if it was worth it and they said the food was average and the service was very slow. We left immediately without eating.
Waited over 1.5 hours to be seated. Restaurant was clearly in crisis on ability to deliver, everything was painfully slow. Once we got the food- it was amazing, and the waiter was truly doing everything he could.
Unfortunately visit fell well below expectations somewhat ruining our valentines celebration. The food was exceptional but the service was out of this world and not in a good way.
On an evening with a set menu you would expect that service would be simplified, smooth and be of a high standard. Unfortunately on this evening the restaurant staff were largely made up of casual agency staff, who continually walked through the dining area indiscreetly asking I assume the regular staff the locations tables and occasionally dropping cutlery, plates and whole trays, one of which, a tray of drinks on this occasion was dropped on my back and with no eye contact or any attempt at an apology being made. The girl just continued to pick up the broken glass, handed me a napkin and carried on about her evening. For clarification this was a full tray of drinks and after 30minutes passing and with my shirt still sodden I brought this to the attention a suited waiter who apologised because they had a lot of issues agency staff that evening.
Our aperitifs and amuse bouche also didn’t arrive without asking and the general atmosphere was one of tension as numerous dinners periodically voiced their frustrations with the experience.
Also worth noting is the decor in the basement bar was and looked very cheap and chintzy, faux sheep skin rugs and canned spray twigs set around stained seats was below the level of refinement I had hoped for my wife.
In summary the food is excellent as were the regular staff and if you were to go on a standard midweek evening with mid level clients I’m sure the experience would be more positive and the level of service as expected. Though for more refined Indian dining with partners or clients I would highly recommend Benares which delivers on food, service, ambiance and value - unfortunately everything that was missing from our trip to The Cinnamon Club
