That’s why the Evening Standard featured City of London Distillery & Bar as one of the best places to drink gin in London.

A range of gin experiences are also available: tours, tastings and distilling classes. All are bookable via the website. Gift vouchers for these are also available to buy online.

What a lovely place. My friends and I attended for a gin tasting tour. Could not fault Steve for his enthusiasm and knowledge of the distillery and history. It certainly was an education for us. Highly recommended and excellent value for money. We stayed for a drink after which was lovely. Will definitely be back.

My friends really enjoyed the place I chose for happy hour drinks. The place was cool and quiet. They had some inventive and tasty drinks. I liked the cheese plate. It was very clean. The servers could have been more attentive but they were really nice & polite. Recommend.

Fantastic drinks, service and surroundings. Tours and tutored tastings available and you can book an experience to make your own gin. You can choose your own gin flights (which were great) and the food looked fantastic, although we didn’t partake as we had already ate 😊

Hidden little gem! The feeling when you walk in is extraordinary, paired with the incredible customer service! I tried a gin flight and was not disappointed. Will return for cocktails as they looked like art while he crafted by the bar tender. If you love gin, this is a must!

Took my husband to the home of Whitley Neill and had a tour of the distillery and a history of gin. Amazing experience - all the staff were so friendly and welcoming and made sure we had a great time. If you like gin, go here. Now!

We didn't have food, it smelled good though. We did have to actively flag down someone to order drinks each time (~70% full bar). Very cool location, you can see the distillery while you enjoy a drink. I asked for a tweaked drink, and the bartender made me an off-menu but same-theme drink which was delicious. Drinks were all delicious and arrived promptly after ordering. Definitely would go back

Having looked on the website we were expecting to be able to get platters but we’re told they no longer did food so just had nuts; then saw someone else with a platter as we left! Enjoyed the gin flight and tried lots of gins we otherwise wouldn’t. Again though this was more expensive than the website which obviously needs updating. Overall a fun experience and will be back to buy some gins.

I had booked this weeks in advance, I had even emailed the team directly. They were closed. Now it’s perfectly fine to close the venue so staff can get a break. But at least let folks who have booked a table know.

We arrived having booked three tables of 4. Initially they were pleased to accommodate us and gave us tables we could all fit round. Soon after we all had arrived we’re told there were complaints against us from the staff and asked to leave - I know there was nothing that had happened to cause offence. For a reason that we couldn’t challenge as the manager wouldn’t divulge the actual complaints made, we left! I will let you all make your own minds about this place.

Returning visitors from Canada,initially disappointed with the change RE City of London Distillery to Whitley Neil.However our server Pedro?? Explained the changes and guided us towards our favourite Gin and we were made to feel very welcome and special. Hope to see you on our next visit,in the mean time we will be enjoying our bottle of Whitley Neil connoisseur gin.

Amazing service as always - bar staff are friendly especially Pedro and Lexi. Good bar snacks and range of Gin is very good between City of London and now Whitley Neil. Worth paying for the tour too if you get the chance to learn about Gin and get money off a bottle of gin too

Extremely disappointed. Booked a table in the bar with a view to booking for a pre-wedding get together with friends next year. On ordering drinks we were advised that no food was available as this needed to be pre-booked. Website is not clear on this and confirmation email also had menu details link on it but again no mention of pre booking. We were told that they had to pre order food in - we are only talking about cured meats and cheeses here. Selection of gins was good and service was ok.

An excellent venue. Spotlessly clean with very friendly, positive and helpful staff. An interesting and informative tour and gear gin. We did not order food but the free nibbles were very good. I would highly recommend the bar just as a tranquil and relaxed place to meet friends. I certainly will be returning! A big thanks to the staff for a thoroughly enjoyable time.

There for some drinks before a meal elsewhere (so did not have any food) - but a really nice, quiet spot given the location - with a calm ambiance and a great spot for a couple of cocktails/gins. Friendly service - will definitely go back if in the area again.
