Our party loved the delicious meat and the starters. My chicken was very tasty. The wine was just right.

I had the onglet wth salad.
The onglet was well cooked. The salad was nice but too acidic for me.
It's a pretty restaurant with friendly staff.

We went for brunch. The salmon Benedict eggs, the crab toast and the French toast nothing special. Maybe it is better for a meat meal.

Enjoyed our evening here. In upstairs area which was very nice but wonder if the downstairs dining room is s bit more buzzy.

Food is very good, didn’t have steak but looked like people were really enjoying. We had turbot for 2 which was lovely.

Smoked haddock scotch egg was delicious and Jacobs ladder also.

Apple fritter was lovely- one would be plenty to share

Service was a little patchy as it got busy and there were s couple of mishaps but on the whole a very good vibe and pleasant waiting staff.

We will return!

Really tasty food, good portion size, excellent service. I liked the decor but was sad there’s no river view as it’s so close to the Thames. They stock a very nice Czech cider but I do wonder, in the global home of cider, why they don’t stock a Cornish or Devon one?!

Me and my friend decided to try your restaurant as it was suggested by a friend of ours. I’m general the whole experience was good, we had the octopus as a starter, it was a really small portion but the flavours and cooking very good. As a main we both had the monkfish dish Witch was delicious but very poor salad as garnish. Service was good, just found a bit pricey in comparison with the food portions.

Lovely food and good quality wine list (although pricey). Our only complaint is that we were seated upstairs where only two other couples were seated - there was no atmosphere. Having made a reservation in advance we thought we would be seated in the better downstairs area. We will learn for the future.

Like a less formal Hawksmoor. Quite noisy on the Saturday evening we went perhaps just a shade too much for quiet or intimate conversation. Staff were, without exception, friendly, knowledgeable about the menu and wine list and super efficient.
Good selection of wines by the glass or carafe.
Starters of smoked haddock Scotch eggs were wonderful; possibly slightly too large portions and served, curiously, in snug, small bowls which made it difficult to access the sauce underneath!
Ribeye steak was good although served with no garnish whatsoever so choosing an optional sauce, potatoes and a vegetable added an extra £10 to the bill...
Bill for two, for two courses (that scotch egg meant no room for desert!), with two glasses of wine each came to £108.00 including 12.5% service charge.
Overall a very good early evening option. We’ll go again.

Bloody Mary’s were the best and bottomless Prosecco was enjoyable

Food was good as well

Thanks

Food was fantastic, probably some of the best flavoured steak I’ve ever had. Service was good, could have been a little bit more attentive especially with topping up wine. Restaurant appeared very clean and smart, would definitely go back.

We arrived before 6pm intending to have the early evening menu before going to the Bridge Theatre. We ordered starters and the onglet steak salad. The waiter returned to tell us they had run out of onglet so we would either have to go to the a la carte or have the fish or vegetarian options on the other menu. One of my companions explained she was allergic to various things in the other options and wasn’t prepared for the expense of the a la carte. The waiter went to speak to the chef, came back and said they were prepared to give her a steak from the a la carte at the same price as the fixed price because of her allergies but not us. The other options didn’t appeal and we considered going elsewhere. My companion asked to speak to the manager who, after some discussion, agreed we could all have another steak. All this meant we had to rush eating to get to the theatre.
The monk fish and cos starters were good. The salads nicely dressed but the steaks, disappointingly, nothing special.

Food was very good but service very slow. Restaurant full of pre theatre customers yet they struggled to get orders out in time.
Would give it another chance because it’s so convenient for The Bridge theatre and when it arrived, the food was very nice.

Waiter had poor knowledge of menu -- didn't even offer the prix-fixe, pre-theatre menu option. Told me fish had no bones, when it arrived fish was full of bones. Waiter didn't de-bone the fish, didn't even give me a place to put the bones. Side salad was oily and over-dressed. Everything else was extra -- vegetable, bread, everything. Worst meal I had during ten day stay in London.

If you're looking for a proper Sunday Roast this is the place to go! Delicious rare roast beef served on the bone with copper pan of gravy with all the trimmings.
We loved the cauliflower cheese and fresh spring greens in the mini le creuset casseroles!
Starters were good especially the ancho marrowbone and haddock scotch egg with soft yolk centre!
The milk bar pudding was a work of art and solid chocolate!
Great location and the roast beef was good value!

The restaurant appears good and we were welcomed at the door. The waiter was a bit lacking in personality and really just went through the motions. The starters were mixed. The short rib was delicious. The octopus was good but too little. We all ordered ribeye and then the waiter tried to trade us up to the prime rib. The mains were good, although the quality of the meat was not great, tough at times. Shame as good location and the ratings promised something better. Too expensive for the standard.

We enjoyed our pre-theatre steak/fish meal very much. Our waiter, Chris, made it all happen quickly and easily. A problem? Chris helped us pick and choose between à la carte and fixed price menus. A request? Chris got the over-loud music turned down. A quandary? Chris came up with a simple choice of wines to taste.
The steak was beautifully cooked, tender but not the most tasty. The octopus was a little mean in portion size but tender and tasty. The baked cos lettuce heart was a delight. The fried bream delicious. Desserts (lemon meringue tart and chocolate Banach balls) were good but the least convincing dishes of the meal.
Red wines are much more expensive than whites, but Chris made sure the red was worthwhile.
