Celebrating new jobs and birthdays, staff were great, food was phenomenal and for three of us starters mains and two drinks was very reasonable

Went here with wife and kids for wife’s birthday and had a lovely meal. Food was excellent - good choice available and service was excellent (Molly). Nice selection of wines available and not too pricey. I opelted for the Malbec which was great with my rib-eye steak. Good atmosphere in the restaurant.

Very noisy as busy. We had a long wait for food but we were told after waiting a while we were behind a large group. Have been previously so think a place to avoid at busy times like pre Christmas meals as unusually not a problem.

They were not aware of our reservation when we arrived. They kindly found us a table but then took 20 min to take our order.

Great food as always. Just alittle disappointed as in the booking I’d stated it was a friends 50th birthday. Just thought the dessert could have had a candle or even staff just said ‘happy birthday’ as a nice gesture.
Will still come again as we love it

unfortunately, we found the service poor - we waited a long time between courses - we had to flag down waitresses when we wanted to order - tables were being moved around us which was uncomfortable especially when the people trying to get to their seat had to squeeze behind our seats. we were neglected as far as service was concerned. when i eventually got a menu having asked twice, so i could order a dessert it took that long for someone to come back to us that we could not be bothered. I ordered a rib eye steak that was chewy all the way through (not good quality for the price paid) - overall we went home uninthralled.

Cold: log fire but no logs. Food quality poor and not hot when served. Pub grub with a fine dining label.

Booked a table via this app then an hour later, having made all the arrangements to go out, the booking was cancelled as overbooked. Thanks. Great service. Missed out on another local place I could have gone to too. No dining out that night as everywhere else I would go to for this kind of food was booked out.

I am a regular diner at the Cock Inn Wishaw, but was really disappointed on Saturday evening 1/7/2017 while the vibe was great for Saturday dining the food did not stand up.
Very small portions and my friends Fish and Chips was very poor, tiny price of cod in a greasy batter and a tiny cone of chips that had oil throughout so soggy!
We did complain but did not return to the kitchen as we had another appointment.
The total cost was £80 inc starter and a bottle of wine.
Pity as has put me off going again.

We arrived to be told that they didn't have our booking via top table , made us feel stupid and has to wait in bar for 40 minutes before we chased up what was happening, gave us a rubbish table then we waited 40 minutes to order and then the same for starter , when the next table who arrived after us by 30 min got served straight away and there food came with ours , top table blamed

This is the second time I have visited the Cock Inn, Wishaw with my family, the first visit was in September '16 and mirrored my experience of May'17. The service is very slow, both times we were the first table to arrive for the day to eat. It took a very long time for our drinks to arrive, order and receive our food. The service was very poor on both occasions, even having to request an update on when our main meals would be served. We also noted that other tables were offered bar snacks prior to the meal on the second visit however we were not. The food was very average, my boyfriends mum and I actually couldn't eat our starters as the soup was badly seasoned and the pomegranates served on mine were rancid. The food was not up to the standard we had expected it to be of. After our poor experience last year we decided to give the Cock Inn a second chance however there has been no recognisable sign of improvement and therefore unfortunately, I do not think we will be visiting again.

The Cock Inn were great and accommodating despite being very, very busy and not recieving my reservation from open table they found a lovely table for two, before we had finished a drink from the bar.
The service and staff in the restaurant were great, considering it was a birthday treat for the better half, it was lucky the staff were so good otherwise I may have been in the dog house due to opentable. The food (with the exception of the olives which just further confirmed I'm not an olives person) was lovely and priced right for the quality and portions. Dessert was our pick of the courses.
Would come again but would book direct or phone them to confirm.
