Great hearty pub food. Big portions but they offer a smaller portion option on most dishes.

Hello,
Ordered Cheese and Onion pie and chips for two,prebooked table.Complained that the cheese and onion pie contained only partly cooked potato cubes,the cubes were still hard,however the chef sent word back to the table that really he did not see anything wrong with the pie, but sent a new order up to the table.The pie still contained the same partly cooked potato.We ate the chips and side order but complained again about the pie to the waitress.She said she would tell the chef again,we now expected at the very least an apology and maybe some recompense for the poor service ,but non was forthcoming.We paid the bill and left.We were tiered after travelling from Manchester and last ate at breakfast!The manager might want to refund the cost of our meal?

We visited last Saturday and were very impressed. Waiters were very efficient and helpful, and the food was excellent. Also fantastic views of Morecambe Bay from the restaurant upstairs!
