The Coopers Arms
A perfect place to eat and drink. Absolutely faultless in every sense, from the friendly, fabulous staff to the great food and drink. All of this in wonderful historic surroundings. Always our top choice in Rochester, and beyond. Well done to all who make it the way it is.
Really enjoyed our visit. Great food at good prices and excellent service with a personal touch.
Great ambiance in comfortable surroundings.
Everything excellent. Although we were lucky, because the reservation we had made through OpenTable had not been registered by The Coopers Arms, so we were fortunate they had a table available. Something that needs attention maybe.
Lovely as always. Took my sister-in-law with her husband who were visiting from Canada. This was one of their haunts from over 30 years ago. They thoroughly enjoyed the food and atmosphere.
The Cooper's Arms has an old world charm, which is not surprising when you know its history - dating back to the time of Richard 1st, before becoming a pub in 1543. It has a very nice garden in the summer months which is quite a suntrap, the beer is good and the staff and clientele very friendly. The interior is very much what you would expect from a traditional English pub - lots of wood and brass and period photos on the wall. I would recommend it if you like a quiet place to relax and drink a few beers or have a weekend brunch.
Local gem. Been visiting for 40 years. Very enjoyable pub food and very well presented. The atmosphere is what makes the pub welcoming. No rowdy or obnoxious customers.
Prettiest, quiet pub in Rochester. Not too close to the hubbub of the High Street, and the beer is good.
If you're eating go for the excellent home made lasagne.
Had two friends visiting from London for the Christmas market. They thoroughly enjoyed the food, atmosphere and history of The Coopers Arms.
Lovely little pub, great food with plenty of choice, good service and quiet enough to talk. Had lovely weather for the time of year so sat outside in the beautiful garden. Will definitely visit again,
Warm and welcoming, good food and beer, dog friendly, and a really interesting history. Just great.
Lovely pub, service amazing friendly staff, we love it because it was dog friendly and we never go anywhere without Sam our beloved English springer! However food was ok very basic, but if it was any more than what they charge I probably give zero stars so overall ok if u hungry. If u want good food, no! However have not try the Sunday roast yet and I hear good review on the roast! So still yet tbc
A real traditional English pub with a good atmosphere and excellent value food and pub snacks.
A real find! We were looking for a lunch venue prior to a Graduation Ceremony at Rochester Cathedral. The Coopers Arms proved to be perfect. A excellent selection of traditional wholesome meals at very reasonable prices. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming as were the staff. We were quickly served and our freshly prepared (unusual these days) meals were with us after a short wait.
Well done Coopers Arms! Next time we are in Rochester we know where to come.
Very nice meal with friendly bar staff. Good value for money.
A friendly, welcoming pub. Relaxed, efficient service. A few minutes walk from Rochester High Street - just enough to be free of the crowds.
