The Copper Clam
We have a private dining area and cater for large groups and parties.
Our experience was amazing. The food and service was outstanding. We will definitely be returing!
Well what can i say. We were searching for a seafood restaurant whilst in Brighton for the weekend and i have to say we hit the jackpot. From the moment we walked in from the rain the whole place was just so inviting. From how we were greeted to how we were treated the whole evening. Just amazing. And the whole lobster that was still in the ocean that morning was i would say the best i have ever had and so filling. Whenever back in Brighton we will always be back. Its a meal that i will remember for a very long time. Simple and the best.
Greeted by a friendly and professional staff who went on to make excellent recommendations and show depth of knowledge of their menu. Great ambience looking over the water outside and the warmth of the staff inside!
I had my best ever scallop in this lovely restaurant by the sea in Brighton. They offer very friendly service and good menu even if you want something other than seafood. We ordered a steak and surprisingly, it tasted so good that it’s totally beyond our expectations. Absolutely a place you should go while you’re in Brighton!
We were visiting from Canada and wanted to have a nice dinner out with friends. The Copper Clam was the perfect place!!
The food, the room and the service was wonderful!!
Thank you for the lovely experience! :)
Did not like the food here. Was extremely overpriced for the quality of food served- I would not recommend to a friend/anyone. If the food had been more flavourful/had any flavour at all the price would not have been an issue, however as it stands the food was not only bland, but cost significantly more then average.
An excellent meal. Would certainly recommend it.
Was made to feel very welcome, best steak we’ve had for a while. Will def come back.
Second time here and certainly will not be the last. A great find
The best aspect of the Copper Clam was the friendly and efficient staff. In fact probably the best service I’ve had in a Brighton restaurant. I also thought the wine list was good and reasonably priced. The food was very good, but it loses points because of the small portions. My delicious (but small) sea bream was served on maybe a table spoon of crushed potatoes; that’s just not enough for a grown man. Similarly my starter was just 3 small crab croquettes. Make the portion sizes a bit more generous and offer some bread and this could be a great little restaurant.
We will come back again. One of the best restaurants I have been to recently.
My second time dining at the Copper Clam. Food, venue & service very good but there was a crowd of rowdy gentlemen arrived after about 30 minutes who gradually got louder & louder, bad language & were not asked to tone it down by the manager or staffas we would have expected. We were quite disappointed as they could have been moved into the other room. Spoilt the overall experience this time to be honest. There were 5 of us there for our daughters birthday.
Well. That was the most amazing evening I’ve had in a very long time. Thank you, thank you, thank you. 😘
It's ok. That's as much enthusiam that I can bring.
The staff are super friendly and ben over backwards.
the food is average. Oysters super small, prawns under-cooked and sent back, wine average.
we were all underwhelmed rather than raving.
it's a good back up plan of a place, easy to find on the beach and in the summer i imagine great to see the sea.
Had a lovely time here and the food was great even if a little expensive. The staff were amazing and couldn't do enough for us
Great service and excellent sea food. A nice discovery in Brighton.
Great food, location and excellent service
Very friendly 3rd time visiting A’s love the food and service 😁
Great service great food . Very pleased with everything
I can highly recommend the copper clam, the food was amazing, topped off with fantastic service. I cannot wait to go back
The Copper Clam was just wonderful! Because of its location on the seafront, if I hadn’t seen a blogger review on Instagram, I would have written it off as a tourist trap but that would have been a huge mistake. The staff are so friendly and we were welcomed like old friends despite having never been before. The food was absolutely incredible and we can’t wait to go back!
This was my second trip to Copper Clam and it was just as excellent as the first time I went.
This time we had lovely weather so sat outside.
The food is incredible and the service is amazing.
The seafood was good but the sides were not. The mac & cheese looked like it came from a packet and the green beans with sesame seeds were overcooked and under seasoned and served with water still in the bowl. The service was fine until the manager told off a table for letting their kids run around outside the restaurant. Totally unnecessary and caused a scene that could easily have been avoided. There was a power out so we didn't see what the inside of restaurant was like - it could be nicer ambience than outside. But overall, for price point, wouldn't recommend.
Fabulous fun restaurant with amazing seafood. There were 8 or us visited on Sunday and the staff could not have been more friendly or attentive to our table. The food was delicious, all served nice and hot. Blankets available when we did get a little chilly outside, but nothing too much of a problem for these guys. We'll definitely visit again :)
Forgot my starter bit sorted out and would go back - lovely fish and desert
The food was generally tasty and well cooked but some dishes could have benefitted from a few more vegetables. E.G. a couple of boiled potatoes to accompany the skate with seasonal vegetables (only greens) would have been great.
Friendly staff who took time to chat. Good food and a good vibe, particularly as we ended up outside right at sunset. We shared the seafood cataplana. Would recommend.
Starter was poor, skate as main course was over cooked, veg undercooked? They took the skate off the bill but at £65 a head was not value for money, asked for some wafers with my ice cream and they had none ! Won’t return
This restaurant underscores the usefulness of Open Table. I had about two minutes to choose Copper Clam and book it in a town I don't visit regularly enough to know the places to eat. Fabulous meal with such a generous seafood platter. Sat outside chatting to a new colleague who is important to me for three hours; felt like I should've added some rent. It's the service from all the team I'll remember most. Outstanding.
Very good service and a lovely meal
It was exceptional!! The food & drinks were second to none.
Great place for a girlie lunch. Food and service is lovely.
Briliant restaurant that specialises mainly in fish and seafood. Excellent service, great value, welcoming staff, Will definitely go back!
Loved our first visit here . Great service and good food !
The food was delicious and the table, although small was in a lovely spot.
Fantastic meal and excellent service.
Wished we had discovered it on our first night in Brighton!
Restaurant on the beach, were eat al fresco the view was not great as boarded up area on beach blocked view to sea. Was told the building work will finish in September so it will then go. Looked at the inside 1st floor dinning area looks fab. We will be back to Brighton soon and will dine here again. The food and service was perfect.
Do fun and so good.
We had an absolutely fantastic family meal at The Copper Clam for my 21st birthday. The staff were friendly and attentive. Food was to die for. Especially the mussels and orange sorbet. Will be back again and again. Thank you!!
Great food with a wonderful friendly service with a family run feel. We strongly recommend you try this fabulous restaurant they serve fantastic food!
