I’m still dreaming about the seafood chowder it is award winning and my god it is the best I have ever tasted
Can’t say enough compliments. Try it’ out😀
Great staff , professional and friendly . Good craic. Amazing food.
Place was packed didn't help being seated under a speaker blasting out Now 80's on repeat!. Close to open kitchen entrance such a cold draught!. Feet were numb! Meal was slow to come out and just warm. Veg followed later so half the meal was ate before. Place needs fine tuning!
Dining upstairs was good and there was a nice ambiance.
We moved down stairs for the remainder of the night.
Unfortunately we had multiple bad experiences with the bar staff and probably would have left if it wasn’t for the band, who were great. The bar staff appeared to be inexperienced which is excusable by all means, however there is an expectation when ordering cocktails that they are made correctly. On several occasions the measures were severely off and the incorrect mixer was given. As stated, with inexperienced staff that is to be expected. What isn’t expected is rude and abruptness, this was faced my several members of my party on Saturday night. The young bar man with a partial beard and tash was particularly rude.
A simple request to have some lemon and lime with my Gin resulted in him telling me that fruit only came with the gin cocktails. I repeated my question only to get the same answer. On a third or fourth request he eventually agreed, he picked up a thin slice of lime with his hands and threw it into my glass with impatience. This is only one of a few examples we could provide from our experience last Saturday night.
I hope you find this helpful.
We had gone expecting an al la carte menu, the website didnt state that only that menu was available. Also the al la carte menu was handed to us at the start but we didnt have the option to choose from it.
I am vegan and only had 1 option available. It was tasteless. Also no childrens menu available. The staff were lovely but our experience was dissapointing.
Food was absolutely delicious, had heard mixed reviews but didn't disappoint. Would def go back for food. Service was excellent. Beautifully refurbished.
We had a great evening in the Coppertap. The food was superb & cocktails delicious. Credit to all the staff. Special thanks to Mark for the complimentary Prosecco.
Please bring back the churros on your dessert menu
Enjoyed a fabulous meal in lush surroundings. Trendy, modern restaurant with an exciting diverse menu. Staff were friendly and helpful. Added bonus was the addition of the lively new bar downstairs with amazing live music. Overall, would highly recommend.
Excellent food , only criticism is that it could of been hotter. I like my food piping hot so felt it wasn’t warm enough for me .
We had the 3 course Sunday lunch that was value for money & we throughly enjoyed it .
Service was fantastic , we had a lovely young lady that was very attentive to our table . Ambience & decor are second to none .
Well done !
Visited the Copper Tap on Saturday night with friends, no bar open yet for Pre meal drinks but other than that the food was good , great service, bit noisy but other that that a good experience.
Food and service was fantastic! We will definitely be back! Highly recommend!
Food was lovely and service was excellent. We both had an enjoyable evening. The entertainment was outstanding.
Had a beautiful meal and music was fantastic and lively.
Great new menu and food tastes great. Good size portions.
Staff are very attentive and helpful.
The food was absolutely delicious. Best meal I've had in a while
Lovely meal, good service and great value - thanks
Was looking forward to going to The Copper Tap & 1806 and after my visit for Sunday lunch it's fair to say I was not disappointed.
Main reason for wanting to visit was because of the new chef Brian McMonagle - I have dined a number of times elsewhere where Brian was the chef & his food is always outstanding, absolutely first class.
It's a pity The Copper Tap & 1806 is a distance to travel but I can safety say I will definitely be back.
From entering until I left the experience was fantastic, beautiful decor, amazing and friendly staff and very reasonably priced.
Thank you so much.
This is the first time back in the copper tap since the new chef has taken over the kitchen and can’t wait to return again. Food was great
Food was terrific , as was the service. Time between courses timed to perfection , setting was great. Clean , tidy restaurant with great prompt service. Will be back !
Brilliant service, staff where very attentive. Food was beautiful, so tasty will definitely be back
I've eaten here before but the food seems to have improved a lot. Could not fault yesterday's meal at all.
The cooper tap has a beautiful interior and the staff who dealt with us were absolutely fabulous. However the food for me was hit and miss. I ordered the roast beef and it didn’t come out as expected. It was as if the roast joint had been cooked the day before and then the slice of beef was fried off again to heat it up as it was crispy on the outside. The mash was lumpy and the soup advertised was cauliflower but it came out as mushroom with none of the servers pointing this out before it was served. But I couldn’t fault the staff. All very pleasant and attentive .
Food was beautiful and staff were very pleasant and attentive
Had a lovely meal plus drinks. Service was excellent and the food was very good. I felt it was all reasonably priced for the quality received. Would recommend.
Lovely venue, really tasty food and staff are really friendly
Really beautiful place, felt like being out of Omagh and in a European city. Food was beautiful and staff were great.
Good quality food reasonably priced and served well from the staff.
We arrived on time and were shown to our seats by a friendly waiter. He gave us our menus and asked us what drinks we would like. Drinks arrived quickly and we were ready to order our meals. Ordering was straightforward with plenty of choice. Our starter arrived and the waiter gave us an extra bowl so we cold share the starter. Our mains arrive soon after we finished our starter. We had plenty of food for our mains and the steaks were cooked to our liking. As always we had a little to much to eat but the food was excellent. We finished our drinks and meals and asked for a bill. Bill arrived and the itemised bill was correct so we paid and left.
Excellent food and reasonable price. Gentleman serving our table was superb and couldn’t be more helpful.
Will definitely be back!
This was our third time visiting the Copper Tap.
We ordered a bread board, which was terrible. 5 small slices of bread, some cheese, a small slither of jelly-like chutney and a few raspberries/blackberries. It was absolutely shocking. We also ordered a portion of chips which came out in a small bowl; which was only filled half way. My partner and I had about 6 chips each, and the bowl was empty! We were so, so disappointed.
We asked if someone could take our drink order and were told someone would be over shortly. 25 minutes later we were still waiting. We asked again if we could order a drink, again we were told someone would be with us shortly. 15 minutes later, my friend had to go the bar to ask if a member of staff could come to our table so we could place an order. In the space of 2 hours, we managed to order 2 round of drinks .
Our friends were visiting from Belfast, so we were excited to take them somewhere new. Unfortunately, they were really disappointed also.
The decor is lovely and the atmosphere is great, but if I'm being honest, I wouldn't recommend the Copper Tap at the moment. Maybe we'll try again in 6 months or so, maybe it will have improved by then.
Sorry for having to leave a negative review.
A very good experience once again. Compliments to the new chef and the dishes him and his team have created. Service was okay but the waitress seemed distracted. Cocktails were impressive.
Amazing food in an amazing venue!! Cocktails were brilliant as was the service!!
Food was amazing! I’d highly recommend coming here. Already planning another visit as there was so much I wanted to try on the menu.
Table was booked for 8pm albeit outside. We had to wait for a gazebo to be put up. So effectively we sat outside in darkness. Waited 35 minutes for someone to take our food order then waited 45 mins between starter and main. My main was cold and burnt when it came out. Staff were slow to serve but quick to clear the table. Won’t be back
Staff wearing outdoor coats all night not very professional.
Overall food tasty but potatoes were hard and both people who ordered chicken dinners could not eat the potatoes.
No apology. No offer of replacement.
Expensive menu. Asked at the till if we wanted to leave a tip.
Just average it’s the simple things that make you want to return.
Fantastic service and lovely food.
Ambience was great and we were served in a timely manner.
Great food. Great service. Nice atmosphere. Will definitely go back.
Vastly improved with the arrival of the new chef. Value for money was non existant previously and now 3 courses for £21 is certainly reasonable and our Sunday lunch was delicious. Menu quite small but as it was printed on paper therefore I am hoping that means the dishes will be switched up every now and then to include seasonal ingredients and fun specials. Will definitely return to try out midweek menu.
