Food was nice enough. Not hugely inspirational but enough choice to warrant the rating. Reasonable price. Friendly staff. Ok for a bear station business dinner. They try hard and that’s what counts.
I have been here before and was expecting a lot more. The wines by the glass were uninspired and pricey. The first one was meant to be a Pinot but was definitely not and I sent it back. The others were average. Paying the same for a glass of wine as the retail price of a full bottle is really not acceptable. The steak I had was thin and tough. I will not visit this restaurant again
Nice ambience, good food and wine although service was a little slow at times.
Very slow and poor service. Food was adequate. Didn't have either one of the wines we wanted. Took ages to be served and often forgot that we had ordered things. Disappointing.
Great place for very good wine and decent food. Nice ambience and just popping in for a glass of wine is welcomed.
Good food, amazing wine selection carefully curated. Deserves more customers, service was tip top !
The worst roast ever, unfortunately they ran out of roast and served us boiled potatoes, really disappointing
Great little restaurant near the station, 2nd visit here, loved it. Relaxed and welcoming, good value for money. Lovely staff
Enjoyable meal and service was very good. Great venue to meet with a friend. Good location. Would recommend
Great quiet pub meal and superlative food. High quality service... not too pushy. All round very happy customer. Thank you
Good local choice for relaxed evening. Spacious and not too noisy, despite being fairly busy, so good for a catch up. Amazing wine list - which we didn't take advantage of. Perfectly enjoyable food - not exciting, but fine. Possibly not doing the place full credit, as didn't have opportunity to try the cheese - or make the most of the wine!
Nice lunch really good service and great wine
It's a cosy little restaurant. Staff was really pleasant and service was good. The vegetarian antipasto was a little disappointing as it didn't come with any fresh or marinated vegetables. Just starchy food with mayo. Cheeses and wine (organic rioja "eremita") were good. Would go back.
Lovely place excellent wind food was good snack portions were a tad small but great that it wasn’t packed out and easy for the station
Had a lovely meal with a couple of friends at the Cork & Bottle. The food was good and plentiful (I had the ham and cheese pie and mash, my friends had the burger and the linguine). The wine list is endless and the waiter was very attentive, friendly and knowledgable. It's also very close to Paddington station which made it very convenient for us. Would go back.
Excellent food, really friendly staff, good choice of wines. I wish we could have stayed to try the cheese.
Excellent service and great food and wine. A great find for us. My husband has particular dietary requirements which they catered to brilliantly.
We had a great time there to celebrate my husband's birthday. Amazing cheese and wine, we will happily come back !
Great place, offers both fantastic food and wine choices!
Been to C&B a couple of times, great wine list let down this time by average service - literally had to go flag someone down every time to order more wine/ food/ glasses etc. Food fine but not outstanding - charcuterie/ cheese platters good, if a bit dry, limited cooked food we had was on the low side of expectations - chilli squid was soggy rather than crisp, but edible. Also music overly loud.
Went with my girlfriend for her birthday. 3 course and a bottle of wine ~ £100, great value, great food, great wine, great service.
Ambiance is just right usually but marked down as it was a little empty on this visit so lacked atmosphere.
Great place. Well worth a visit. Top food and wine
Good food and wine. Fantastic choice of cheese. Staff were friendly and helpful. It was a lovely unrushed evening.
Food was ok!.Nothing to write home about, portions were small,Desserts and puddings expensively priced.
Some options not available.
Service was good though.
Warm welcome, good food cooked fresh, good price, beer on tap, great wines, excellent service, near Paddington Station so a great find. Good attentive staff.
Very nice atmosphere, nice background music, realy good wine and friendly staff. I’ll definitely come again.
The ambiance is wonderful and it feels comfortable and they make you feel welcome.
Had a nice meal here before catching the train at Paddington
Really nice experience at the Cork & Bottle for a business meeting with clients. Service was friendly and attentive. Food was scrumptious - most of us had Soup of the Day followed by a Salmon main. Wine was also delicious and there was plenty of choice.
I marked this was a business lunch on my booking so generally you have an hour; we waited nearly 40mins to get our food. The place was empty as well so unsure why the food took so long. Food was good and waitress friendly but there was no apology for the long wait which was disappointing.
Excellent Sunday roast beef; best Yorkshire puddings I've had for a long time; gravy not bad either!
Nice restaurant with good food, nothing fancy but good value and quick service
Surprisingly pleasant, quiet, professional and quaint in an area with a lot of chain places and rubbish nearby for tourists at Paddington!
Would go back
Loved the feel and the wine and food selection was perfect for both locals and visitors
The waiting staff and kitchen manager were particularly helpful with our table as we had 2 guests with food allergies. I would like to thank them again for the care they took to make sure the meal was safe.
I chose this as I was meeting a colleague and Paddington was convenient for us both. We weren’t disappointed - both the atmosphere and the food were good.
Good meal and service. We were given a quiet corner for a business meal. However, the restaurant was almost empty. Value was reasonable, although wines are pricey - I am used to the suburbs nit central London.
The Sunday Roast dinner was excellent. The roast was tender, the Yorkshire pudding delicious and the veggies and roast potatoes superb.....the service however was not as good. The bread (supposed to be warm and our server apologized that it arrived with our meal because it took longer to warm up than expected - it was cold) was to be a starter but wasn't, the table was dreadfully small and couldn't accommodate a wine bottle, dishes and glasses for water so some were perched next to me on the bench seat. We waited almost 30 minutes for our bill and it appeared that though they tried to do their best, it was junior wait staff tending the restaurant on a Sunday evening...and it was getting busier as we were leaving.
Always friendly staff.
