The Crab Pot Restaurant & Bar-Long Beach
The Crab Pot Restaurant & Bar is a fun and casual restaurant specializing in delicious seafood. What makes this particular restaurant famous is its incredible Seafeast. There are four different varieties of Seafeast but they all have one thing in common: giant steamed buckets of seafood that are dumped directly onto the table. The most popular is The Alaskan which comes with king crab, snow crab, Dungeness crab, steamed clams, shrimp, Pacific mussels, andouille sausage, red potatoes and corn on the cob.
For those looking for a more traditional entrée, the Crab Pot has a wide variety of options. The rest of the menu is made up of fried seafood, grilled seafood, ribs & chicken, burgers and sandwiches. While the seafood options are delicious, there are plenty of beef and chicken dishes as well like the colossal bacon cheeseburger, barbecue ribs and grilled chicken breasts with seasonal vegetables.
The wait time was great. But the food was awful. I ordered the Jambalaya and it was salty. The grilled cheese for my kid came out 10 minutes after our food and it suppler hot. My husbands calamari and chips was also poor cooked. That was the first time and last time I’ll ever there again.
The waitress was so helpful.
Very patient and very well experience.
Received wrong order. Food has been better in the past.
My family, friends and I have dined here many times since it first opened. It never disappoints in any way. Never a food problem, server problem or a seating problem.
Enjoyable seating next to the yachts. I've already noted the food and ambiance were excellent. We'll return.
Nice table outside, for son’s birthday. Food and view both great. Only issue was shade - had to move our own umbrellas to give us sufficient shade
Awesome view, regular dishes are very good, pot dishes are a great experience! Wonderful place to stay with family or friends.
Natalie was excellent in serving the 14 of us. Plenty of food and everything tasted great.
Loved it!!! The food and service was great and the atmosphere was wonderful.
Crab was fresh. Fresh. Fresh.
Ordered Westport for two and there was plenty of food, very good and will go again.
Great food (better than old Joes Crabshack in Newport Beach!) Service was awesome (thank you Mackenzie). Saw some bad reviews, but they must’ve been drunk Happy Hour cry babies because we loved it!
Excellent food, beautiful view. Great place to eat seafood.
We had a lovely lunch for six of us outdoors. The food was good and the service outstanding.
Everything was excellent!
We were celebrating my husbands 60th birthday.
The crab pot was fun and plenty of food. The crab was not at all salty or dry, as many king or snow crab ends up. However since there was no broth, the clams and mussels did seem a little dry. The cioppino was hearty with a good flavor
Excellent service! Would recommend to my friends and family.
Do bed on the patio enjoyed the view of the harbor.
The Crab Pot is one of Beverly's favorite restaurants and was the perfect place to celebrate her birthday! Shay, the hostess, set up our table early and let me decorate the table before the birthday guests arrived. Our waiter Steve, was wonderful. He was attentive and took special care of our table making the birthday girl feel extremely special. The food was wonderful as always! Many of the guests had never had the strawberry rhubarb cake and determined they would return for their own celebrations. Thank you Crab Pot staff for helping us celebrate our friend!
On a visit to CA, we craved seafood - except for my vegetarian husband. Good thing that the Crab Pot has a very good veggie burger! The seafood was delicious, the service was excellent, and the location on the water is very relaxing. We'd definitely go back!
Everything was fantastic. Our server was very attentive and the food is well worth coming back for. First time customers and will definitely be returning.
Of you like Old Bay seasoning you’d like this place. Food was a bit salty and oysters were not shucked and cleaned properly.
Great atmosphere. Great food.
Service was good for the most part. Our waitress was friendly & accommodating , but appeared to be stretched a little thin at times. Great experience. Would definitely return again.
Sat outside along the marina. The view was great and the service was very good. My friend ordered the crab cake appetizer and said they were good. The rest of us ordered fish and chips or captain’s platter, fried seafood combination. The fried fish lacked flavor but the fried calamari was great. Didn’t try the seafood boil, but it looked good.
We had an amazing adventure at this restaurant! The seafood was fresh and perfectly cooked and loved the mallets to crack our shellfish! The mai tai in a CARAFE was super yummy - Service was good and food was perfect. Cool ambiance- only complaint is the parking- limited... We will be back!
We ordered two Alaskan seafeasts, it's not fresh, very disappointed!
Our waiter Steven was Terrific. He made the difference. Food was amazing, we had crab, shrimp crab cakes and salads. Good wine a great price. We will be back. Thank you fir a great foodie experience.
Waitress was very attentive, always made sure we were all good. We got seated immediately with our reservation and despite the crowd, we got our food served to us pretty fast. The food/drinks were amazing and the price wasn’t too bad. It was also a good environment right by the water and the noise wasn’t bad at all.
Very good !!!!
Everything was excellent except the margaritas we just didn’t want to complain asked for patron pretty sure it wasn’t or hardly any. We order these everywhere all of the time hopefully better next time
First time at the Crab Pot, and last time.
One item on their menu are their "Pots," where 2 or more people share a mixed assortment of sea food. First, the description and pricing on their menu is deceptive. The price they list is per person, but the way it appears it implies you can share the "Pot" for the price listed. However, the fact the the price is per person is listed towards the top of the menu.
Second, 3 people shared the Pot (at $35 per person) for 2. (So we were charged $70.) NO WAY was there $70 worth of food. And a lot of the Pot (which contained crab legs, mussels and oysters) had a generous amount red potatoes and corn on the cob, which they used as "filler" food. They must make a killing on this menu item.
My Baked Chicken dinner was just okay. Nothing special, plus parts of my chicken were overdone.
My suggestion. Stay clear of this place. Too much money for very little value. King's Fish House on Pine (in Long Beach) is a better choice that this place.
Horrible experience. Rude staff. Food sub par. Requested to accommodate a disabled veteran Did not happen. Had to sit outside in cold and wind. Will never eat there shsin
Enjoyed dinner on Friday very nice atmosphere and the waiter was attentive.
Great place to take visitors, right on the water!!!
Our friends ordered their speciality it was apparently good. My husband and I ordered the shrimp and both of us were disappointed. It tasted like frozen and mine was really overcooked.
Food was great and the service was very good. Although we booked an outdoor table, because of wind we were given an inside table by a window which was perfect! Great view of the boats and marina. We will be back!
A fun place to dine. The food is excellent and the service is friendly and quick. Be ready to eat with your hands and enjoy!
OMG, we had a fabulous meal at this restaurant. We went with the Alaskan Crab bowl. The crab, sausage, potatoes, corn, mussels, and shrimp were amazing. Will definitely go back if we ever return to Long Beach!
The Crab was amazing. The service by all was fantastic.
Our waitress was so friendly and attentive, and made our dinner that much more enjoyable!
