The booking of the table was quite straight forward and the service was good. However the menu was very limited and disappointing , especially the children's menu. The menu consisted of mainly burgers and chips.
Would not recommend this for a meal out . Could have cooked this at home for a faction of the price !!!!!!!.
Found the choice of food very limited and basic.
Nice vibe, helpful, efficient staff, good food, band good
Good atmosphere and plenty of space and seating in the garden. Food/drink app works well
Went on a sunday, would of liked more option of food not just a sunday lunch. Was put on a table that was about to collapse so we moved staff was fine about it had no problems.
Staff were friendly but drinks order was wrong and took a while to be rectified. Food was below par and very expensive for what it was. Burgers are £8.50 on their own and very small portion of chips are an extra £2.50 making a mediocre meal very expensive.
Pub was clean and staff were very nice. If menu and food was improved we would definitely spend more time there.
Patchy quality of food made this visit rather disappointing. My salad was fresh and tasty and the chicken burger and chilli were good but the nachos were a disaster. Top marks for home made ones but they had turned out wrong: too thick and hard. My grandson gave up on them. Service was friendly and don't worry, we will be back.
Food was great, ordering system was fiddly but functional, might just be my age! Nice staff, overall great!
It’s a very nice place, especially for a family with children.
Really loud whereas we couldn’t hear each other speak. Drinks took an hour to arrive
Great outdoor area. Good live music. Nice beer selection. Good vibes. Recommend.
Food was delicious and live band were awesome - festival vibes loved it!
Excellent Jackfruit chilli (spicy!). Used the app to order and drinks/food arrived quickly. Great service even though the pub was busy.
Had a table outside, weather lucky on our side also. Originally under cover however no gas for heaters , was bit cold so moved out in sun and perfect,
Lunch menu was good , would have liked a bit more choice, and healthier options, sweet potatoe for jacket and for fries too.loved the super green salad which they use to have ,
Overall glad to be able to socialise in or outside pub again :)
Food has definitely gone down in quality. Not good value for money... Small portions and high price. Food was overcooked.
Quiz was overly complicated but now we have set it up it should be easier going forward.
The quiz will keep us coming at least
The qr code system for ordering drinks works really well.
Nice staff&really good food! Definitely recommend coming here for a Sunday Roast!
Thank you so much! Hope to see you back very soon. Steve General Manager
We sat at an outside picnic table which is not the most comfortable for longer periods of time. However, food ( lovely Sunday lunch in a giant Yorkshire) and service were great! 👍
Thank you Clare! We look forward to seeing you again. Steve General Manager
Lovely atmosphere with a mixture of ages. Was good to be able to catch up with friends.
Thank you Joanne! Hope to see you back soon :) Steve General Manager
Friendly staff, great service and lovely atmosphere!
Very muddy outside! Would be better if paved/gravel
Thank you for the feed back. We did our best to react to the weather and the high footfall as quickly as we could and after 5 months closed, its been difficult to finance everything we've done so far. You'll be happy to know the gravel actually arrived the morning after your visit. Sorry it didn't make it in time but hopefully we will see you again :) Regards Steve General Manager
So nice to be out and about again. Situation (social distance) well managed by The Crafty Cow.
THANK YOU STEVEN! We really appreciate it. Hope to see you back soon :) Regards, Steve General Manager
Amazing! We were the last to leave and could have stayed hours more! Such a festival feel and so Covid safe. We will definitely go back.
<3 THANK YOU <3
Great atmosphere and service. First time at the Crafty Cow and we’ll be back very soon.
Very friendly staff
Lovely garden highly recommend
Menu was limited but very tasty.
Great atmosphere even in the rain. It's so cosy. Looking forward to coming back 😁
Staff were really friendly and helpful. I would definitely go there again.
the food was cold, full of garlic and had clearly been reheated. there was a hair in my food as well. hardly saw any colleagues and was just overall not a very good experience which was a let down as my friends and i were very excited
Hi Kettie, Thanks for the feedback. I'd love to have a little more detail on your experience if you don't mind? I can promise you that everything is cooked from scratch and fresh here. I'm sorry if that wasn't apparent. As for the hair, we can only apologise. This shouldn't happen at all and we do take all measures to avoid this. Regards, Steve General Manager
The food was incredibly poor quality, not worth £12. Ordered roast dinner only had 2 potatoes, used beetroot instead of red cabbage, small Yorkshire puddings not what was advertised. The meat was fatty and not very nice. Service member even admitted they were running low on food.
We visited the crafty cow for Sunday lunch when you could only eat outside. On the positives, it was very easy to book and we had a half decent roast in a large pub garden, which has been set up well for all weathers. However it didn’t score as well as it might have for a few reasons mainly organisational. The checking in and taking prebooked groups to their tables was all left to a single member of staff, leading to what seemed an unnecessary queue. We ordered on the app - drinks came after our food and the kids ice creams not long after we’d started our food. The pork lamb and chicken were all well cooked (slow cooked), tasty and decent portions, however the plate was very light on veggies and the tops of most of the potatoes were burnt. Prices were on the higher side so expecting a better experience. As someone with a young family it also would have been nice if someone had cleaned the high chairs and offered to bring one to the table (it was a written request on my booking) and hidden from view the boxes of toys that understandably weren’t available to play with. Despite these points it was still a good meal served by friendly staff.
Sat outside of course because of the current restrictions! But the area service drinks and atmosphere was fantastic.. we will be back thanks
Asked for mayonnaise salt and vinegar the waiter had no intention of getting it, as he went back in and started servingpeople instead, asked another what dirty fries was, she never came to tell me, other than that it was very good.
Good quality food, nice big tented beer garden and a good range of drinks
Outstanding customer service, the staff really go above and beyond, to ensure you have a good time. Food was very delicious, and very filling.
Lovely staff and incredibly effective service but a very limited menu and nothing really for gluten free/wheat free people espes which is veggie at the same time. Needed more variety on the menu, especially in the way of salads and rice dishes. Thanks
We were allocated a table outside of the tent which wasn’t ideal as it was quite windy, cold and dark but moved to a table inside the tent which was much better. Service was really good. Didn’t have food so put 1 star as couldn’t leave blank. The app was a little problematic but ok.
Great feels however had some issues with the wrong food being delievered when vegetarian had been ordered
We had a great lunch, nice food and good service. Appreciated the awnings and patio heaters as the weather was potentially dodgy . Definitely would visit again!
A little disappointed that there was no children’s area as stated on the website
Sorry about this! We do have one, we just can't use it right now. Regards
