We’re in the tranquil village of Rickling Green, overlooking the village green and historic cricket ground, in the middle of beautiful countryside.

Excellent dinner here. Had the buttermilk wings to start, beef bourguignon and trifle. All 10 out of 10. Lovely ambience and christmas decorations, friendly and attentive staff. Thoroughly recommend.

Lots of choice for food. I had the blade of beef with dauphinois potato’s. Children’s menu has lots of variety and good sized portions. Very happy!

We ordered two adults burgers and two children’s burgers. The roles were stale and they were dry. Chips were ordinary.

We had a lovely meal on the eve of Lockdown 2, 2020. Staff were friendly and the service was 10/10. The food was excellent - beautifully presented and it was exceptional. 4 empty plates, which unfortunately left no room for dessert! We will definitely be supporting them with take away meals over the next 4 weeks.

The menu is really clear and indicates if a dish has a gluten option available or not which is extremely helpful because I'm coeliac. I was delighted to received a beautiful roast dinner (minus the stuffing, pigs in blankets & Yorkshire pudding - you can't have it all!) Never the less, it is easily the best Sunday lunch we have had in the area.

Covid arrangements were assuring and well thought out
Sunday lunch is always good and they are good at providing gluten free options. It was quite busy but things quietened down during the time we were there which made us feel better with the social distancing. Best Sunday lunch around in my opinion.
Food was fine and service was efficient but lacked friendliness or that human connection (seemed a bit distant).

I was expecting a cosy little country pub, but was greeted by a cavernous, cold hollow space! Unfortunately, this marred my overall experience as the food was excellent, albeit a bit pricey. Best Yorkshires we have ever had though!!!

CA have risen to the distancing challenge and mostly achieve a very safe environment. The food is well constructed and delicious but the prices match.
