excellent lunch. can not fault the cricketers at all.
The staff were really friendly- I booked a table and we had a nice quiet spot to ourselves which was great.
The food was amazing! cannot fault it at all and plenty of it too.
My only negative is that drinks were expensive. My husband ordered lemonade and orange juice and we were taken aback with the price of it.
But overall a fantastic place and more then worth a visit. We will certainly be going back.
Good for gluten free, nice to have a choice and especially desserts 😀 , glad this is local to our new home
Attentive staff and good food for a pub. We'll be back soon.
Everything about the meal was excellent! A lovely evening in a friendly, welcoming pub.
We came, we saw, we fish n chipped! Always good food from an extensive choice. Good value and friendly service with a great choice of beers.
An excellent local pub, serving good food in a friendly atmosphere.
Unfortunately on this visit the service was very poor. We were repeatedly forgotten.
We were ignored when we arrived, found our own table. Bar visit to ask for drinks, asked for sources which never arrived, dishes only partially taken away. The Pub was not that busy but the two front of house staff could not cope. I would not recommend to a friend as i would be concerned who was working that day. Having said that previous visits (different staff member) have been great.
Friendly attentive service, yummy proper home made food, the Devilled Kidneys were particularly delicious.
Good value meal in stylish surroundings. Liver and bacon is amazing.
Food excellent and very good service. A very friendly and relaxing pub in a lovely village. We would definitely book again and recommend to friends and family.
The Cricketer's is such a lovely pub, especially after a long walk around Hambledon Hill. This time, I booked for lunch and brought the dog. This is one of the most dog-friendly pubs. And 'friendly', not just tolerant. As it's Christmas, I was able to have the lovely festive menu. Olive (the dog) was even given some turkey and ice cream for desert! The Cricketer's is in a lovely, quiet village off the main road and also has a large garden. The staff are fantastic. We're looking forward to visiting again in the New Year.
We enjoyed our evening at The Cricketers. The Service and ambiance in the pub were good. The food was average. Good size portions but not particularly tasty. Overall a good experience.
Great food and service. Unpretentious pub in a beautiful village and setting.
Restaurant standard food from a well thought out pub menu, with plenty of choice. Lovely hidden gem of a place.
Great food, lovely staff, service was excellent, great value for money
We had a lovely meal here on Sunday. Warmly greeted when we arrived and shown to our reserved table. There were six of us, we were not rushed, and we all had a great time catching up. Food was lovely and served promptly. Staff were really helpful.
We will be returning in the New Year.
First time to the Cricketers, and we went for a special occasion. The staff were lovely and friendly. The food was delicious, and they were extra nice to the children in our group, who are too young for one of the big ice cream sundaes but wanted a bit more than a scoop of ice cream, the staff added sprinkles, chocolate and wafer to the ice cream to the delight of the children. We'll definitely be back!
Food was delicious, plenty of it and presented lovely.
Kids meals are always brilliant choice.
Another great meal
Perfectly nice but they really need some carpets/rugs to absorb the noise. We had loud drinkers in other room and a table of 8 or so next to us. Any laughter and we couldn’t hear each other. My father found it a challenge with his hearing aid too.
Fabrics are such a simple solution……!
Lovely village pub, outstanding food that was well presented. Staff were all very polite and welcoming.
We visited on Pie Night and, as usual, the pies were excellent and very substantial.
A superb place to eat and relax. Great food, great staff and a lovely village setting. Our second visit and we look forward to the third.
An excellent dog friendly pub with efficient service. The table was quiet and perfectly positioned in the window. The food choice was good and reasonably priced.
My dog loved it there as he was given biscuits and there was doggy ice cream available to purchase. I will come again.
Great service and food - we will be eating here again.
A mid week lunch after a lovely walk. Service and food very good. Will certainly return.
Superb food and great choice. Lovely friendly staff. Perfect pub to take your dog also.
Have already booked to go back 😀
Lovely little pub set in a beautiful location.
We received a warm welcome on arrival and friendly service thereafter. The food was very tasty, it arrived quickly and the portion sizes were great. Definitely good value for money, everything was lovely and clean and I can't wait to go back!
Plenty of parking around the pub to walk off your tasty meal afterwards!
Really lovely evening spent here. Warmly welcomed on arrival and staff attentive all evening. Wide selection of starters, mains and deserts to choose from. We will be returning!
A lovely evening out with delicious food and efficient, friendly service at a reasonable price.
Nice table with view. Attentive service and excellent liver and bacon.
Lovely friendly pub, nice ambience, great menu with plenty of choice, including lots of vegetarian options, perfect service. Never had a bad meal here!
Lovely food, great service and very friendly staff.
Met up with friends for a meal, food was fantastic, great portions and amazing choice. It was pie night so that had to be done! Very reasonable prices. Very clean and tidy place with loads of seating areas. Great parking out front. Only gripe was toilets were built for tiny people :)
Fabulous food as always - great service as always.
Pudding...Tropical Tiramisu was AMAZING!!!!!
Lovely local pub - great food, good service. We will be back!
Excellent choice of food and drink. Great wine selection of which many are available by the glass. Visited on a very busy and sunny afternoon but service was very good with food and drinks being served politely and efficiently.
Tuesdays are Steak night and we had a good Sirloin at a very reasonable £10.50 each and shared a tasty baked Camembert to start. Staff were excellent and very friendly.
Friendly country pub with good choice of food and drink .
Very good food and lovely waitress. Nice setting.
