Sunday Lunch
The Pub The Cricketers is a country pub and dining rooms with a large beer garden and outdoor patio dining in the summer. The pub is a beautifully refurbished and extended early 19th century public house. Once known to the locals as “The Old Orchard House”, we really are a hidden gem on Cricketers Lane in Warfield, just a short drive from Ascot Racecourse, Legoland and Bracknell. We are family friendly and also happy to welcome dogs into our bar and garden areas as we always have a jar of dog treats in the porch. Whether you want to warm yourself in the sun outside in the summer with a glass of Pimms or enjoy a perfect pint of cask conditioned real ale in front of a real log fire in the winter, the Cricketers is the perfect place for a drink. If you are looking for a great venue for a family get together, a working lunch, special occasion or a light snack we’d love you to join us.

Maybe because it was Sunday I didn’t have a great experience but I won’t be returning any time soon. Had a table booked but that doesn’t mean anything. Still had to wait 20 mins to get a table. Then we wasn’t even spoken to for 15 mins untill we got a waiter to take our order. Food was ok nothing to shout about. Pub is in a nice area and we did get sat next to a boiling hot fire it wasn’t great.

The food was very good, as was the service. We were by a door where people went outside to smoke and it was a little cold each time someone went outside.
Other than that, no complaints. We would go back again.

Excellent food, excellent service. No issues. Music was slightly on the loud side, but not too much of a problem. All good

We thought we would treat ourselves to a Sunday roast at our local pub. Bearing in mind the last Sunday roast we had there about 8months ago was not that great but thought that may have been a one off. Sadly it was no better this time. Frozen roast potatoes and they had run out of cauliflower cheese but instead of telling me that tried to serve up the burnt leftovers from the pan that had all dried out! For the money, £18 for a Sunday roast, All in all not impressed! Wont be going back in a hurry for food thats for sure!

Booked as a destination to drive to for a day out from central London, it only missed expectations on one area - it was super quiet on a Thursday lunchtime, we could hear everything well (a plus) but ambiance not so much. Definitely worth a visit

A meal with my sister, baby niece, and dog. We were reserved a perfect table given the guests and we had more than enough space for the baby's push chair. Very warm and friendly welcome, service was very personal and was done at our pace. I went for starters which were gorgeous! New additions I think to the menu. Our mains came out promptly and it all was tasty and warm. We would have stayed for dessert but someone was getting irritable. Our server was great and seemed to be managing all the tables by himself, sorry I didn't get your name and lapsed in leaving you a tip! Will come again definitely. Amazing place for dogs! Treats and water easily available.

We were a party of four and each of us felt the service was really poor. Our table was not ready when we arrived, not a problem in itself, but we were left hanging around and not asked if we would like to take a seat in the bar and order a drink in the meantime. The roast dinners had obviously been hanging around since lunch time, this was 7.30pm, and the poor staff seemed totally disorganised. Our dinner plates were removed and we were not asked if we would like desert. We decided not to bother anyway as had not enjoyed our main courses. I do not like to leave a review like this, and perhaps there were problems with staffing that night, but unfortunately it has tainted our opinion of the place. it was very overpriced for the quality of the food.

Really enjoyable time. Lovely location, friendly attentive staff, generous portions and warm atmosphere. Perhaps a little noisy when it's busy but I can't really complain about that; it's always vibrant in there.

I booked the table online - very easy. When we arrived we were shown to our table immediately. The waiter was friendly, the restaurant had a nice feelung and was very clean. The service was efficient, the food very good - i had dressed crab and my husband had Sea Bass. Will definately go again

Waited nearly an hour for food, place too noisy from music way to loud. Food was just ok as I had fish and chips but others had the chicken dish which they could not eat and left on the plate. Only one waitress who was rushed off her feet and was fairly new she said to the Cricketers. Bad experience not to be repeated.

I had family visiting from Australia and after visiting The Cricketers before and having a lovely evening with great food and service I thought it would be a good place to bring them. The service was terrible, we waited over 2 hours for our food and when it arrived it was dry. There was no appology from any if the staff, they seemed to be making excuses. I understand (from another customer) that there was a problem in the kitchen, but we were not informed of this. We all understand that things happen and go wrong but the attitude of the staff (even the more senior) was very poor, two of the girls were in fact very rude. We asked a number of times how long the food would be and they kept telling us 5 minutes, a real shame. We were not offered any discount or an appology. I will be writing this same review on trip advisor as it is a shame that we recieved this poor service.

There were 4 of us and we all had one of the Sunday roast choices. The food was fine but could have been a bit hotter. All the tables were rather close together with a particularly noisy one just a 3 or 4 feet away, this made conversation rather difficult. Service was excellent and our waitress was warm, friendly and efficient.

We have been to the Cricketers on many occasions but doubt we will be going back. The music was extremely loud which meant it was very difficult to have a conversation. We asked if it could be turned down, the table was split whether they did nothing or turned it up. We waited over an hour for our food and when it did come there was no apology for it taking so long. We had to go to the bar to ask for more drinks. All in all very disappointing.

It was a beautiful evening and the pub was very busy outside. That said, we had booked a table and were seated inside. Our welcome was friendly when a member of staff took notice of us loitering and asked if we were ok. But it took 15 minutes to get the drinks we ordered on first being seated. We never got the water we asked for. There didn't appear to be enough staff to cope with customer demand. Food was okay, mackerel pate was great but the duck salad lacked flavour. Mains were nothing special. The pub itself is lovely and a great setting. I think there just needs to be more staff to get great service and make the food stand out. I would recommend it for a drink but not for a meal.

I would recommend the food to friends. The service is not good and the staff a bit abrupt! If you are used to a bottle of wine being opened before showing you and it being plonked on the table with no tasting the wine etc then this is the place for you!

Used to like going there but aftet this experience not again. The menu was much smaller than I remember and not just the physical size.

Poor value, a burger for £15 should be special. Fish and chips used to be bigger.

Plenty of places in town but we know of other better places.

Went for Sunday lunch for a Birthday treat for wife & Mother in-law.
The whole experience was a complete disaster.
Waited long time for drinks to be served, then long time to place orders.
Starters arrived and were all promptly sent back, mackerel pate still had fish skeleton in it!
Asparagus with hollandaise was like thick custard!
Was offered new starters by manager, these also took ages to arrive, by the time the main courses arrived it was 2 hours later.
Whole place was under staffed and very slow, skipped pudding as just could stand it no longer.
In fairness manager did not charge for food, however was not a great experience and will not be going back any time soon!

Service was shocking, Bar man was rude. Only 2 staff running the bar & restaurant. Shame because it would be nice otherwise.
