Excellent food, very attentive service and reasonable price. Good gluten free options. Will be back to sample new menu in the near future
Good menu choice, food was piping hot and the quality was very good. We were there on a Monday lunch and it was very quiet so not able to tell what the ambience would be like on a busier day.
We met up as an extended family to celebrate a birthday. The welcome was warm and homely. The service was outstanding. It was one of the best family Sunday lunches I have ever had! All plates were clean, everybody was happy and it was an excellent occasion. Thank you Cridford Inn!
Lovely 2 course lunch for £10.00
A nice meal in a fine old pub. Very reasonable in price and wish I had a recipe for the way the chef cooked the chickpeas that where part of the main course of Belly Pork. My friend and I ate too much which is always a sign that the food is good. Definitely above average for a pub.
Awesome properly coojed beef, unlike most uk restaurants, lovely selection of veg, friendy staff in lovely atmosphere
Great pub, great grub, super service and excellent atmosphere.
Really super Sunday lunch empty plates all round . Vegan nut roast amazing ! Staff are really lovely too
Excellent Sunday roast. Family friendly atmosphere. The service was swift in spite of the pub being completely full. The beer was good too.
Lovely pub/restaurant with lovely helpful friendly staff. Food was amazing
What a charming old pub with fantastic food.
A welcoming atmosphere and good service. We dined on a Wednesday night which appears to be men’s night at the pub, but this took nothing away from the quiet and relaxed atmosphere.
Tucked away in a small village yet only 10 mins from where we were staying at Finlake.
I would definitely recommend anyone to try this establishment.
This little pub is friendly and the food was excellent. We were luckily it was pie and pint night! The waitress told us all food is home made and the pie was delicious!
Excellent food and beer. The pies are amazing. There's a lovely roaring fire in the hearth and the ambiance is superb.
Our first time at this lovely old pub and what a wonderful welcome. Such friendly people served us and the Sunday roast was delicious. A great pub and we’ll definitely be back.
Menu was different on line to what was on offer when we arrived. No prosecco ,very limited menu,no choice of steaks.
Very nice traditional Devonshire pub in most beautiful surroundings.
We found the crickdord inn very friendly and the service and food were excellent.
The food was excellent, the tastiest meal I've ever had in a pub restaurant. Worthy of 5 stars
The fish pie was missing and the fillet steak was overpriced for the quality
Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback Sue. I am sorry your visit did not live up to your expectation. Our steaks are usually highly praised, I'm so sorry yours wasn't. I would love the opportunity to make it up to you and hopefully demonstrate your disappointing experience was a rare one off.
A very pleasant & quiet place to enjoy a Sunday roast & delicious desserts. Happy to go there again and to recommend to friends.
Thank you for your feedback Myles. We hope we see you again soon.
Beautifully presented door that was tasty and well cooked. All specific dietary needs taken into consideration. Attentive staff and excellent range of drinks from the bar.

very enjoyable
Was staying close to the Cridford Inn whilst on a family holiday - what a gem this place is! We ate there 3 nights, and two of our men folk escaped for a drink on another evening. All food was stunning and served piping hot. Very reasonably priced for such high quality. The staff were very welcoming. Dog & kid friendly too. The building, being so old, is breathtaking - so many original features. All furniture and decor is sympathetic to the age of the rooms. Will definitely visit the area again, some 280 miles from home, just to be able to return to the warmth and ambience of The Cridford.
Was planning on going to the nobody inn but saw on their website that they were suggesting the cridford inn so we tried them instead. Whole experience was spot on so would recommend it :-)
Excellent food with a lovely cosy atmosphere. Staff were polite, well trained and approachable.
Looking for a place for a weekend meal? Want a bar with plenty to choose? Then try the Cridford Inn. It's a pleasant place.
Lovely place to eat. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The food is great value I would recommend everyone to visit.
Love it! Really friendly and helpful with dietary needs like mine. Chef is willing and able to adapt his menu for coeliacs! Many thanks
Have eaten here 3 or 4 times now and will certainly be back. Food is great value and high quality. Menus change regularly and always seem to have one of my favourites on. Great friendly service and charming pub.
Good food and service. Very pleasant and friendly staff, who made time to talk to customers.
As fans of the Nobody Inn, we were excited to stop by the sister pub but unfortunately it has a way to go. Understandable seeing as the new owners only took it over 8 months ago after 5 years of running down. However, we found the eating areas dark and uninspiring and the outside overlooking the car park a shame for a sunny day. The food was disappointing especially the incredibly garlicky houmous - not houmous - ordered for our daughter and far too garlicky for a 7 year to cope with. Looking to all the amazing gastro pubs and restaurants with rooms we have in the UK (the owners would do well to pay a visit to the Independent Hotel / Pub Show for inspiration) along with the rise in boutique hotels, there is a tonne of great examples and customer choice out there from which The Chidford could take note.
