Sunday lunch for 4 diners, all which left feeling happy & satisfied with our meals & dining experience. The roasts were delicious, great portion size, the same with the desserts. Will definitely recommend to others & will definitely be back.
Recently decorated nice traditional pub. Thought full refurbishment it may have been changed but apart from fresh paint couldn't see any difference. Quiet for a Sunday so couldn't really understand why they had 5 of us on a tiny table which would have been comfortable for 2. Must have expected it to be busier as seemed to have plenty of staff on. The dinners were really nice lovely soft chicken and plenty of it. I do think the price was a bit steep for a Sunday dinner (£18) hence probably why it was quiet. Will return but only for a special once in a while rather than every Sunday.
A good meal. Well presented and well served. Good quality ingredients.
Lovely home cooked food in a traditional, comfortable, warm pub in the pretty village of Edmundbyers with friendly, helpful staff. Hand wash on each table with no overcrowding of tables. Would visit again.
My wife and I were was looking forward to our Sunday Lunch at the Derwent . Nice place with attentive staff but let down by the meal. Yes I understand that the roast beef was going to be served “pink” but my serving was undercooked and very grisly. Disappointing to say the least . First and last visit unfortunately.
Food was really good and better than average pub food.
Its local efficient pleasant friendly and the food is lovely I will definitely return
Really lovely atmosphere, table was ready when we arrived and we were slightly early. Menu had lots of variety and we really enjoyed our meal, children’s meal was a good size and good quality (sausage and mash also available in main menu). We had our dog with us who managed to get plenty of treats from the staff! We really enjoyed our meal.
Pub was clean, food was delicious, staff were welcoming. We can’t wait to go back!
Clean, fresh environment. Staff attentive, professional and friendly. Good value.
Brilliant makeover and delicious food!
Really tasty Sunday lunch, fresh vegetables and well cooked meat. Great wine list too. Glad to have this pub open again and hope the standards are maintained. Thanks.
Delicious Sunday lunch. Fresh and cooked to perfection. Good value. Delightful and helpful staff. Highly recommend.
Food outstanding but a little over priced, £18 for a Sunday lunch is astronomical
Lovely staff very friendly, service was very good, manager and waitresses were very welcoming
