Food was excellent, even by their usual high standards. The service was fab, as always - delighted it's our local!
Beautiful surroundings, well presented and friendly staff, the beef on the Sunday roast was exceptional, best I’ve ever had, we dine out a lot!
Booking system was very easy to use. Drink service was fast even tho there was lots going on. Have been 4 times this year already and will be going again and again!
Thank you Devonport
Very welcoming atmosphere and relaxed meal. Good value meal. As good as always.
Great atmosphere, friendly service and nice food. Very nice pub overall.
Nice to get out to eat for a change. Good food and service and close to home.
Gluten free and waitress and chef very obliging so felt comfortable with my food
The roast beef was fantastic. Some of the best cooked beef I have ever eaten.
We were very pleased with the food it was excellent
Beautiful food and surroundings.
Excellent attentive service
Excellent food excellent value
Lunch was delicious. The Club Sandwich was delicious. Service was good. Measures in place for Covid 19 made us feel safe. Thank you
A great birthday evening with good food and service. Thanks for all.
As usual, a lovely night at the Devonport. We took advantage of the food week offer- 3 courses for £15. Such a bargain and the dishes were really good-well presented and tasty. ( I always prefer the dishes on the specials list, even when not on a promotion.)
Service was particularly good
Lovely sunny day, sat outside, food really good. Slight problem with the bill, overcharged for 3 starters which we included in the 3 course meal charge but was corrected when pointed out. Not keen on the addition of service charge although optional. A tip is optional anyway. We did pay but think it’s cheeky to add first. Just a personal opinion but was echoed in our group of diners.
Excellent food and very Covid secure without spoiling the atmosphere
Perfect Sunday lunch the (pink) beef melted in my mouth. Huge variety of vegetables and a large Yorkshire pudding I would return any time.
Lovely meal perfect setting and great service . Will definitely be coming back
Lovely food in lovely surroundings. The staff were very well organised under the current restrictions. It was our anniversary and the chef wrote ‘happy anniversary’ in chocolate on our desserts. Little touches make the the day.....
Sunday lunch would have been better with veg served in a separate bowl rather than piled on the plate so we could have seen what we were eating.
Felt safe and comfortable with the H&S arrangements to address the COVID situation. Food was good!
Unfortunately we didn't enjoy our meal. The food arrived tepid and the beef was very poor - needed a lot of chewing. Also we were surprised to get everything on the plate, rather than having the veg in separate dishes as we get practically everywhere else.
The staff were very helpful when we mentioned that the food was not hot enough and took it back to the kitchen. When it was returned to us, it was much hotter - as it should have been in the first place.
Went for Sunday lunch the food was amazing and the staff very polite and attentive can’t wait to go back soon.
A lovely meal and evening at a very attractive price
Quick efficient service, friendly well mannered staff, excellent value for money. Thank you we will be back again.
Great setting, friendly service and delicious food
Very pleasant lunchtime, relaxed atmosphere and felt very safe in clean environment. Lots of space.
Lovely dining experience, staff helpful and friendly, food fabulous!
Lovely meal for our anniversary Sunday lunch was beautiful !
Only issue was length of time we waited for food. Food good when it arrived.
An enjoyable Sunday lunch with 3 of my grand daughters, ages 13 down to 3. We all enjoyed our meals, I had the beef followed by the sticky ginger pudding, a real treat.
Service was pleasant and efficient. I've been before and I'll be back again.
We had a wonderful evening on Saturday. The food was delicious and the staff were very helpful and accommodating. Originally we had a table booked outside, as that was all that was left, however the staff ensured we were moved inside at the earliest opportunity. We were also pleased to see socially distancing and hygiene practises were observed but this in no way got in the way of a pleasant evening! Thank you!
Food was good although the menu itself was pretty limited. Saying that, what we did have was good and the staff were very attentive.
Rating given is mainly due to uncertainty of Covid 19 precautions. It took a while for a member of staff to come to get us at the external "wait here to be seated" point.
Set out brilliant for social distancing, food was delicious lovely friendly staff 😊
Good for families
Definitely visit again
Excellent as always!
Great food and service, keeping customers safe.
Good well presented food ample portions and served by clean lolite staff
Super as always with this professional group of eateries .. Food exceptional staff attentive but not intrusive .. Don’t drive past .. you won’t be disappointed ..
It is a lovely pub and the waiter was very kind. However my wife found a black hair in her chicken salad, when we returned it the waiter stated that the kitchen said this probably came from my wife's coat. May have been possible only that the hair was deep rooted in the meal and my wife's hair is blonde, and the coat is red. I did feel for the waiter tho having to be sent to give such a crap response. We did get the meal wiped off the bill. Wont be going again.
Fabulous lunch as always. Food is always of a very high standard and menu Changed regularly. Staff very pleasant.
