   A very nice venue, but for our party with mild hearing difficulties we found the noise level too high. All the windows were open because it was a warm day, the restaurant was just under half full and there was background music playing and the combined noises just echoed round the room making conversation a bit challenging.

   Booked a table at 10am for breakfast and waited to be seated as per instructions on the board. No one came despite 2 waiting on staff at the bar. People behind just walked in so we also walked towards the bar. Seated and given menus. Immediately I nipped to the toilet and when back at the table a waitress appeared but I hadn’t viewed the menu so she said she would be back in 2 minutes. 15-20 mins later no one had been back not even for a drinks order so we left. Poor service, unfortunately didn’t try the food so can’t rate this. It wasn’t particularly busy so not sure what the delay was. Shame really as it was recommended.

   Food was reasonable (steak tartare, clams, lamb) but doesn’t represent value for the prices asked. We ate at Eats n Beats earlier on the same day. Had three dishes that were each tastier and better value than anything we ate at Albion.

   Nice restaurant room, service good, had the sea bass for £18 with four asparagus stems. Ordered chips for £4 and still left hungry. Portions small, prices big. Would not return. Better places are available close by. Sorry guys, I think you can do better. Although it was nicely cooked and hot, so not all bad.

   The special offer skate with asparagus was recommended, and as described,it was delicious. Triple cooked chips fabulous too. Service was attentive, friendly but not intrusive. Good value for money but only issue was as the dining room became busier there is, for me , a problem with the acoustics. Nothing you can do about that as I think it is something to do with the bounce off from the parquet flooring. When we return we will make a point of eating early again. In addition I would like to pass on thanks to the manager who was helpful for both the evening meal and the previous day when we held a coffee and cake meeting to inform our volunteers of the closing of our Home Start charity.He was so helpful and attentive making a potentially sad event into something of a positive celebration.

    Overall we had a nice evening although service a little slow as very busy. Starters were great. My wife’s main was very good -sea bass. Unfortunately my main lamb was tough and chewy. It was rump which can’t be fatty but still not great and restaurant gave a 50% discount which was fair enough.

    This is my favourite place I just wish I had realised that the lunchtime menu was a brunch menu (delicious) but I had hoped to eat some of their delicious seafood.

    Gorgeous surroundings, breakfast well presented, small portions for the money, dated menu. Lovely waitress, friendly, efficient and polite. Poor staff…. sworn at by the bearded guy in charge who upon his arrival actually created up tight panic instead of maintaining the calm efficient buzz of good service received before he arrived. Most of us understand pressures of business, especially in hospitality but the staff are your business… train and encourage, don’t publicly humiliate and swear at them please. You single handedly let the place down. Walking around very, very quickly, barking orders, coffee in hand, doesn’t mean you’re being efficient or ‘drumming up drive’. Professionally disappointing.

    Lovely decor and comfortable environment. We had early dinner would of liked a bit more choices on the menu but we had table finger food to share which was lovely and them had a main course of fish and chips which I really enjoyed. We were the only diners but it didn’t really matter, we felt comfortable with that. Will definitely go back again. A little pricey for what it was. Might try the hotel one day. 😄

    Great food in a great room with great service. The lamb was cooked perfectly in an unexpected way (stuffed with anchovy spinach). It came with an innovative potato too. It was sliced, made into a pie and served in a slice again. The vegetables were fresh (local) and colourful. There were purple carrots with the roast. Very tasty! I will try to find some for home. It was Easter so busy and a bit noisy but service was great and we didn’t feel overlooked even though we were only a table of two surrounded by large family tables.

    All four of us had such lovely food - although the pork roast was too much for my mum who should have had a child's portion! My sister and I both had the mushroom wellington which was really, really good - and so nice to have the full roast accompaniments with a vegetarian meal.

    Lovely meal in lovely surroundings. We all enjoyed ourselves. Staff were fun and jolly! Although we didn’t have our grand dog with us this time it is a great place to bring him!

    An absolutely beautiful restaurant with equally beautiful food. Thank you to the lovely team who noted the occasion and gave us a great table, and a warm welcome. I cannot fault this place - front of house chap (with the beard :) ) especially got the level of service *just* right! Which is rare in restaurants these days and can really make or break your experience; humorous without being overbearing and knew exactly what you needed before you even had to ask! Our waiter also, rectified the small issue we had with the wine, promptly and without question... absolutely flawless and attentive team! We were the first table seated and the last ones out - testament in itself to how much we enjoyed! We will return! Thank you again! - Sophie

    I have visited The Dining Rooms at Albion House on several occasions and on this occasion we were not greeted so we found a vacant table, ourselves. The food, though, made up for this shortfall - beautifully presented and delicious. The service is always good and this visit was no exception. The prices are in line with other dining rooms in Thanet. Highly recommended.

    We joined for mothers day. The ambience was very relaxed and joyful. Decor is very tasteful. The food was excellent and the portions were quite hearty. It is quite pricey, but I would say it is worth the money. They could do with creating an alcohol free list. I was surprised there were no 0 percent wine or prosecco as this is quite standard these days. I would recommend and would visit again.

    Excellent Sunday roast, everything was delicious and very generous portions. I had the beef which just melted in the mouth. The price was also reasonable, so will most certainly be back. My only criticism, if it is a criticism, but my fellow diners did agree, was that there was no chicken option, Their chicken option was fish and chips, which I was told was very tasty, but not a substitute for a chicken roast, which the majority of us would have chosen. Not everyone eats beef or pork.

    We booked the Dining Rooms at very short notice and found good availability for booking a drop-in lunch. When we wanted to change the booking the staff were very kind and helped us very politely and flexibly. The restaurant was quiet when we arrived, but soon did fill up but to be honest it was very comfortable even when it was quieter. It’s a great position in town and part of what looked like a great boutique hotel. We ordered a starter of whipped cod dip which was delicious although it did arrive with our mains. The cod and chips we ordered (as we were too hungry for brunch) was huge and tasty! Everything was really fresh and the quality was excellent. The staff were very good throughout - they just made a couple of small errors in that we got our starter as the same time as our mains (but think that’s what they thought we wanted) and forgot some water for the table. However, this was no biggie and al in al they tried very hard to make us happy! Would thoroughly recommend this restaurant. Thanks to the team at Albion House.

    I went with my family to the Albion for the first time on Sunday. We were all impressed with the restaurant itself and the ambience. We were disappointed that some of the dishes on the limited menu were unavailable but the food we weee served was excellent and so too was the service.

    Quite dark, with low lighting and dark painted walls. But good low level background music. Friendly efficient staff. Fantastic fresh, colourful, piping hot well cooked food. Would d definitely reccomend the fish n chips & breakfasts
