Staff and servers very polite, drinks cheap and trebles that don’t taste like crap (unlike the majority of places in town!!). Very pleasant experience will be visiting again after this lockdown!

Brilliant service and great atmosphere. All guidelines followed and staff enforcing rules. Will be back soon.

Served by Alex and Macy, lovely staff as always, lovely and welcoming, making sure that we are having a nice time. Always lush to come back to Newcastle and have a good night out; easy to order via the new W8R app, and track and trace as usual.

The guy who seated us had a disgusting attitude and clearly doesn’t know how to talk to people properly, his attitude stunk that bad the upstairs bartender took it upon himself to apologise on behalf of him, which is sad that had to happen as everything else was delightful. If you don’t like talking to people you shouldn’t work in the hospitality industry.

When we got there the building was shut and no one replied on the mobile number. We presumed it was closed for some covid related reason but no one informed us of this.

The food was nice but not the best value. The staff were helpful and service was quick. Great atmosphere.

I can't review the food as we didn't get any. We arrived for our reservation to find we had been seated on a bench with no table for us to eat, we spoke with the door man and explained that we came out to eat so had decided to leave. The door man and another staff member kindly moved things around to give us a table where we could order food, I'd read that food was served until 8pm and arriving just before 7pm we thought we had plenty of time. We could only order through the app which was great for following guidelines but we hadn't used it before so it took us a bit of time to set everything up. As we were deciding what to eat another staff member came and collected all the menus off the tables, which I thought was odd as it wasn't 8pm yet, but we continued to place our order on the app. We submitted the order but it seemed to be taking a while for the venue to accept it, we looked over to the bar to witness a heated conversation between the gentleman that seated us and the lady that collected the menus, she was raising her voice and clearly pointing in our direction about orders coming through which just made us feel uncomfortable. The order still hadn't been confirmed and after they had finished arguing, another staff member had clearly been nominated to break the news to us. He told us that the chef had left early so there would be no food service. We opted to cancel our entire order and leave (again). We've never been here before but were keen to try, it's safe to say we won't be back, all we expected was a bit of communication and some manners, not being made to feel like we had done something wrong.

It was good, good price and good music and atmosphere

We booked a table at 19:30 for 4 people to eat at the new Feds Chicken restaurant upstairs. We were running about 15 minutes late so I tried to call the venue/message them to let them know but we were unable to get hold of them.
We then sat down and tried to order food at 19:50. We asked if it was possible to have the chicken tenders on their own without fries and we were told no. Anyway we ordered our food only to be told moments later that the kitchen closes at 8 and they were tidying up so couldn't serve food:
1. We were not informed when we arrived or booked the table that the kitchen was closed.
2. If the kitchen closes at 8pm then if we order at 19:50 the order should be fulfilled.
We then tried to order some gamma ray and neck oil cans to be told they were 3 months out of date.
The staff were not at all accommodating and as a group we were all really looking forward to the food as we were all big fans of meat stack but this experience was one of the worst we have ever had.
I have since messaged Feds kitchen to make them aware of the experience and was told that they would get back to me, they never did.

Door man was ignorant and judgemental. Claimed I was “mortal?” and I believe this was due to the language barrier as I am from Scotland and not my level of alcohol consumption. However the man behind the bar was approachable and very accommodating. Lovely man shame the same can’t be said for the man on the door. Won’t be back.

Amazing time here. Staff were great! Table service only. Music was good. Drinks and food were fantastic.

Really poor service, served at the table by a young man who didn't know what was on the menu. He then brought the wrong drinks, when we queried, his response was to say 'I divent nah' then he walked off. Really disappointed as dog n parrot is normally one of my favourite places

Brilliant Service

Had a few drinks before a gig with some friends great staff amazing atmosphere nice rum selection. We also had food the chicken in the burger was super crispy and tender i would highly recommend

The food was incredible, nicest chicken I’ve had in my life! Great value for money with drinks, such lovely staff, good music and music was quiet earlier on and got a bit louder later on which was nice

Very slow on drinks. Food was decent just took forever for one margarita.

Great environment, staff were lovely. They offered table service as well as bar service. Which is ideal at the moment. Felt safe in the environment.

One of my friends had a peanut allergy, and both the waiter and the chef from the kitchen made sure he was completely catered to. There was a problem when we had to move tables because we had been put on the wrong one but apart from that the service was amazing.

really lovely place to sit and have a drink. never tried the food before but really enjoyed it. Not a negative thing to say about it. Fantastic night and looking forward to returning soon.

All staff are lovely, drinks were served fairly quick. The doormen are angels as always.

dog n parrot is always a lovely place to go to spend time with friends and all the staff are always lovely, booked for 6 but only 4 ended up coming to the staff moved us tables n ended up being allowed to stay for 6 hours instead of 2. really made my birthday a good one thank you

10/10- quality pub. Best pub in the toon by far!!!
