The bar & cafe area is the perfect place for some light food or to relax and have a drink, with gorgeous views over Sligo Bay & Oyster Island. Paudie's pitmaster background has played a big influence on The Driftwood Smokehouse Restaurant, with smoked meats and seafood playing a central part of the menu, which have been slow cooked in the smoker for up to 15 hours, to give a gorgeous flavour & tender texture.

Lovely space and fantastic service. Food was good.
All so perfect except I highly suggest to remove the rose Marie sauce common and disgusting.the salmon deserves a diner friend .Bearnaise tarragon garlic or just oil? And something seaweed yo the side of the cold seafood platter wd be superb!
Top class 👍lovely food & lovely atmosphere great staff
The waitress was excellent as she regularly checked that everything was going well. The meal was very nice.
Nice setting; great food and great service. We’ve been twice and will keep booking when we are over in Sligo for a break.
Really appreciate the fresh fish!
Beautiful food and very friendly helpful staff. Will definitely revisit.
Lovely food overall. The atmosphere was really nice. Our waitress was efficient and friendly without being over the top. Regarding the menu the choices were great.
Our party of 12 which consisted of 8 children (aged 4-14) were accommodated and the food and service was excellent... we would highly recommend Driftwood.
Great food. Polite and helpful service. We will be back.
In Sligo for a week second visit to Driftwood for lunch this time. Same great food, service and atmosphere. Highly recommended
Lovely menu selection and we were delighted with our choices - beef cheek and the half lobster with a burger (this was a big hit for my partner!). The food was delicious and I loved and gnocchi dessert. The staff were friendly and efficient and the owner is lovely to chat with. The restaurant has a lovely ambiance and is nicely decorated. We will be making a booking here again next time we are in Sligo.
This is our fourth visit to Driftwood, we do not live in Sligo but visit approx twice a year and found Driftwood about two years ago. The place itself is comfortable love the quirky furniture, the food is always of very high quality, the staff are very pleasant and helpful. We spent two very relaxed hours there last night and all went home feeling happy and satisfied not always an easy thing with two teenage boys.
The menu is small but really well executed. The food is local produce and very very tasty. The Oysters are sublime. Padraig and his staff are really friendly and make you welcome.
Fab restaurant, monkfish and prawn gratin amazing. Lovely staff. SuitBle for children (though we were there early)
Couldnt be happier, lovely food, great service, well priced, nice drinks, tidy clean and pretty much perfect
Excellent food and excellent service will definitely be back
Lovely staff, the restaurant has a nice modern feel to it. All the food was tasty, and the waffle desert amazing! The menu could do with a kids or smaller veggie option.
We really enjoyed our meal, thank you.
There was loud laughing from a couple at the back and waitress changed our table - (thank you) and we had a lovely freshly cooked meal.
Consistent quality with great food, good drinks in a relaxed and comfortable environment, its a really nice place to relax and spend time.
Had a really pleasant evening in The Driftwood. Staff were friendly and attentive. Food was really good. Good value for money. The only downside was our table was in the alleyway at the side of the restaurant so no view and a little bit draughty, would have rathered a table at the front. Overall though very good and will definitely visit again.
Lovely restaurant, great food, beautiful scenery.
Love the Driftwood, consistent high quality food, relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff, good drinks, and good value, a cut above the rest in Rosses Point
Gorgeous food, very reasonable. Tried to book again but sadly its booked out. Ordered from their takeaway for tonight
calamari was so tender...coconut prawns were tasty. cod was a little dry. cookie dough skillet was yummy. staff were very friendly.
Stunning location for sunset dining. Possibly the best calamari I’ve ever tasted. The Driftwood will be top of the list next time we’re in Sligo.
As covid is still on we were outside at the side of the restaurant, the fish in all dishes was delish (3 went for the the platter amazing we would highly recommend it! Only thing was and it’s little it would have being nice to have a bit of back ground music & some heaters! But hopefully that won’t matter when things get back to norm & u can go inside! We will
Be back! Ps deserts were yumm!
Food tasted unreal, I had the burger and my girlfriend had the prawn and monkfish grattin and as fish lover said it was one of best she’s had. The staff were very pleasant to deal with and were very attentive throughout our meal. Would definitely recommend to anyone who’s looking for a place in Sligo. The view was amazing from the heated outdoor dinning area and blankets were on offer if we got cold!
We waited 1 3/4 hr for main course & food was only average. Will not return
Delicious food and cocktails. Lovely atmosphere.
Very nice lunch served by friendly waitress. Enjoyed my visit.
Excellent meal, great surroundings, very good service. Overall a most enjoyable evening. Will definitely be back!
Greeted and were seated promptly but then had a considerable wait before our drinks order was taken. Following that four different staff asked to take our food order within the space of 5-10 mins. Choice of starters limited, about 4. I had calamari that looked and tasted like deep fried popcorn. Blonde and I had the lamb shank special which was tasty but was served with any sauce. It was on a bed of a teaspoon of mash with an orange and a purple carrot. Unfulfilling meal. I could be behind the times but staff in own attire ie jeans is lacking. Blonde asked why no salt & pepper on the table, hmmmm, I do not know, was our food seasoned to our liking. Overall, nice decor and pretty good festive atmosphere.
The food was really good. Really nice atmosphere. Good service. Overall a great experience I will definitely be back when in the west.
Excellent overall great service food excellent very friendly staff
Really enjoyed our meal last Saturday evening...highly recommend the prawn and monkfish gratin
Always love visiting the Driftwood, food was excellent as always!
Lovely evening, good food good wine. and a great waitress. Felt very safe with plenty of social distancing.
I love this place. I was very happy to be able to go back once the restaurants were open again
What a lovely evening to celebrate going out again. Well done all.
Love the food and atmosphere! Looking forward to our next visit already
