Great food, great service! Would definitely return! Thank you!
Best Caribbean ive ever had. Cant wait for my next visit.
Really great food!
Pitcher of cocktail was a bit small - only two glasses
All good apart from having to go look for a cash point as they wanted cash. They should inform you before you book so you are prepared
Fantastic food, amazing flavours, massive portions. Great drinks too - I had a pitcher of ginger mint fruit fizz (non-alcoholic) and loved it.
Amazing food, great atmosphere, helpful service! Would definitely recommend!
Easy to book, had choice of inside or out. Extremely tasty food will be ordering takeaways during lockdown. Particularly liked the Jerk Chicken and Beef, incredibly tender
Really good food and vibe. Just was slightly cold as the heating appeared to not be working. Otherwise great tho, I'll go again
Really enjoyed my visit to The Drop, absolutely love the food which is great value for money.
Service is excellent, really lovely friendly staff.
I have been more than a few times and always had the same excellent service
Thank you The Drop staff
Food was perfect cocktails was the best and the staff we’re amazing.. thank you everyone at the drop .. we will no back with our children !!
Incredible food, amazing friendly service and a good vibe. Nothing we could complain about at all!
Our Saturday Date Night dinner at The Drop was beautiful! The food was just amazing and so tasty. Will deffo be booking in again soon :-)
Great atmosphere and lovely food. Service was slow with it being Friday night. It was busy when we went and there was constant deliveries being picked up. Can’t fault the food and the ladies did the best the could considering there was only two of them working and a packed restaurant. I would highly recommend.
Fantastic food, friendly staff, great experience! Will definitely return (when we can)...
Delicious food, efficient and friendly service, great vibe and good value for money. We were really impressed and will highly recommend
Waited over an hour for our food as our order was given to a delivery driver. Multiple delivery drivers in and out stood very close behind us. No social distancing. We were sat on a small table close to the toilet. Not worth the money.
Really good food. The only item I would say is underwhelming was the jerk halloumi. The rest of the food was amazing. Great service and music. Would definitely recommend and I can’t wait to go back.
Tasty food, good vibe and pleasant atmosphere. I'll be going back
Very tasty Jamaican food, great music/DJ! Colourful Caribbean interior, very cosy... I tried ackee&saltfish with sweet potato fries&fried plantain... Nice portion&yummy! The rest of us tried the hench boxes which is a selection of dishes served on a long plate, decent portion... Everybody loved it! I'd like to come back to sample more. It's cash only just so you know it in advance!
Unfortunately It was closed when we turned up for our booking! It should have said somewhere on their website or Google
Don't bother booking, you turn up and it's closed.
Go to Pull Up bar on the edge of the Northern Quarter instead.
Second time I have booked here and it wasnt even open other customers also outside who had booked
The restaurant was closed and we travelled all the way from Leeds. Disappointment.
This place is a hidden gem. Good vibes good service great staff unbelievable food 👌🏽 If you haven’t been yet, then this needs to be at the top of your agenda for every night of the week.
Quality food, service and price. Definitely recommend.
Amazing visit. Food second to none! Great service. Cash only (for some reason). But we saw this ahead of time so we’re prepared.
It was shut!!
Great food, ambience and service. However they are fairly understaffed and the wait on drinks is about 30 minutes, meaning we cancelled our second round of pitchers because they were very busy. Just need an extra person on I’d say! Felt for the waitresses, get more staff on!
No hand sanitizer, staff weren’t wearing masks.
Food was great, but staff weren’t very very good. Got served warm corona beers and asked to swap as they hadn’t been chilled. Peroni beer came which was also warm, but they put it in an ice bucket.
Got told it was cash only when I was about to pay and of course during covid 19 most don’t do cash so it wasn’t the most hygienic especially as there was no hand sanitizer around.
Didn’t have a physical card so had to pay via bank transfer to a private account which was strange and staff weren’t very apologetic.
Would go again based on the quality of food, but hopefully a better service will be provided.
One of the nicest meals I’ve ever had! Gorgeous food and great atmosphere. Unfortunately there was a few things they didn’t have on the menu however probably just because it was busy. One of my fave restaurants now! Can’t wait to come back
We had no idea and was never told even when booking online that this restaurant is cash only!! We were only told when we received the bill! Some of our party had to walk in the rain to the nearest cash point- luckily some had debit cards and not just credit cards!!!
A restaurant in 2020 that doesn't take cards is very antiquated and restricts people from attending. Not to inform customers at the time of booking is unacceptable and also at the height of the Corona pandemic isn't right at all!
Fantastic service, extremely friendly and helpful staff. Music was great. Food was absolutely delicious and the cocktails were great. Overall fantastic evening thank you so much!
Celebrating our wedding anniversary somewhere a bit different, we couldn't have chosen better. Relaxing musical vibes in a socially distanced safe space. Great cocktails, succulent food delivered with friendly and charming service. And a bill that was easy on the wallet (cash only here though remember). Recommendation is obvious.
We ordered ginger mojito cocktail pitcher, when it arrived to the table it was a jug of ice, the drink was very bitter and watery and not as described, i'm not sure how it had been made but it was the worst drink i have ever tasted! Thankfully when we complained we had a refund for the drinks. But it did make thw experience less enjoyable for me. I feel this place used to be great. Maybe not so much any more.
Big portions presented well.
Rice & Peas could have been a lot hotter was the opinion of all of my group. My choice of main was the fish i was disappointed as it lacked seasoning and therefore tasted bland to me. Fried dumplings were overcooked on one side for all of our party but soft and doughy inside can happen if you rushing to cook them maybe next time this happens guys dont serve them instead if you dont have time to make fresh batch explain to customer that had an accident with the dumpling and ask if they want them later than their main or if they want it removed from the bill. Better impression and great customer service. Rest of the party chose different mains , Ackee, curry goat etc. With the exception of the previously mentioned Rice & Peas on the whole they enjoyed their meals.
My companions have eaten at The Drop before and agreed they would again but would ask that the Rice be served hotter .
Waitresses so rude!!! Both time I’ve been now, deffo all need a lesson on customer service!
Said they was closed when we had booked a table
Great food, welcoming staff and a nice vibe 10/10 highly recommend
We had x2 servers. One was lovely and bubbly. The other a bit more dazed.
It took x3 attempts to order drinks as everything we selected they would return 5-10 mins later saying it was out of stock.. our food arrived before our drinks and we had to ask 3 times for water. Again the girls were lovely but just unfocused.
Food was really nice, but pricey for the portion size. Sides are very expensive Especially the salsa which is a very small bowl for £5!
None of the staff wore masks and there was no social distancing measures inside or out. No hand sanitiser in place on entry. There was some at the bar though.
It was also obvious the restaurant were not asking if customers were from the same household and behind us was a table of 7 loud younger girls, they were not social distanced from each other or asked to do so. We were disappointed we’ve been visiting the drop on and off for 3 ish years now and each time we leave less satisfied.
Delicious food, would definitely go again. It was busy and service was slow, and whilst tables were 1M apart it was difficult to keep distance and no other precautions taken.
