Love place to visit. Nice cosy atmosphere. Food was lovely and the staff pleasant.
Superb lunch, again! Excellent staff, very friendly towards our young dog
Only issue. The on-line booking through open table has not been received by Drovers. Fortunately there was room
Absolutely lovely meal at the Drovers arms. We had a lovely waitress who fussed our dog and was very chatty, and the food was delicious! The only thing I could fault was that the house rose was quite expensive when the bill came, but still will definitely be returning.
As usual great food, great service and great value. No sticky toffee pudding this time but the scones were a dream!
Excellent experience been wanting to go here for ages didn't disappointment, great service, efficient and polite ,fantastic food will go again Bravo
We were greeted an seated within 5minutes of arrival, drinks and food were ordered after about 10minutes of been seated. The service was very good as was the food. The only down side was our first choices were not available and we weren't told until 5minutes after ordering but having said that we were given a garlic flatbread as an apology. We had a lovely evening and social distancing rules were adhered to at all times.
Excellent food and service however the cheeseboard was a little overpriced for 2 tiny pieces of cheese.
Food was lovely, portion sizes were very good. The staff were pleasant and quick. Very good value
Excellent Sunday Lunch. Excellent Service and very Safety conscious
Another fantastic Sunday lunch. Great food and service was fab.
Excellent food. Large portions. Helpful and friendly staff. Covid safe
Visited the Drovers after staying in area for the night looked nice so booked table we arrived and were greeted at the door it took some time to establish our booking then we were told are table number and left to find for ourselves. We were asked for drinks food order taken partner ordered soup but you staff near kitchen said is smelt disgusting dinner was OK expected better but service was very poor no attention to customer needs young waiting staff ignored us and just wanted to chat in small groups. Had to get up and go to bar to ask for bill which was brought to us then we were just left yet again eventually we asked if we had to pay at bar wS told no and card machine brought to us. It was a quiet time and was not busy just let down by service and poor management
The food was very good, however when it first arrived they brought the wrong order for my son. Then the wrong side dish was brought out and when we asked about it twice, were told that another portion was on the way but never actually arrived (yet still charged for it). The food that did come to the table was delicious and can not fault it.
There were only 2 members of staff in the front of house and a full pub. I appreciate in these current times that things are a lot different. However, they were completely rushed off their feet and could not keep up with what was going on. I felt bad for them but also feel that they shouldn’t have taken as many bookings if they couldn’t cope, or brought another member of staff on.
Despite the service I would not hesitate to go back again as the food was lovely.
Very friendly and helpful. The food is well presented and tasty.
Every thing was just as we’d hoped . Wheel chair user well catered for.
Ambience was as good as it could be considering the necessary social distancing.
very good lunch , good food , good value for money we were not rushed and the safety measures are all in place but not intrusive . Will return soon.
Excellent Sunday Lunch. Service was very good especially considering the prevailing circumstances.
Absolutely spot on service - plenty of staff to accommodate a fast but comfortable service!! Good outstanding!!
Sunday roast delicious and plentiful. Could have been a little hotter. Happy to visit again and try another menu.
Cracking Sunday lunch 👍
Will happily go back again
Felt safe but made to feel welcome under current circumstances. Good menu choice and food very nice, hot and well presented. Good service. No wifi or internet access in the corner we sat in so couldnt order online and take advantage of the discount that this attracted. Overall a very pleasant evening
Nice location and very good food. Good safety measures in operation.
Ordered the haddock and chips and glad I didn't order a starter as it was a full meal. Didn't see the QR code until on the way out, but not signed in, unless Open Table took care of my registration, but not my companion.
A super Sunday lunch again. Vegetarian and beef. 👍🏻👍🏻
Great food and great service as always, and lovely to sit outside in the courtyard with a drink, once you’ve finished your meal.
Boooked in advance
Arrived 15mins early
Waitress all had masks
Had to wear mask to go through other seated clients in dining area
Sat at table. Removed mask
Went to loo. Had to put mask on to move from table.
Out of loo back to table
Theoretically should have followed one way system out of rear door all the way back to entrance to enter to put mask on to go back to table through other clients eating. Probably 70metres in total.
Good service good food
System worked sort of but we are all still sat down in enclosed area eating.
Why you need mask to walk to table baffles me
Had friend with Covid and still exhausted since March so do know effect it has
But really chance of catching it and dying 47,000 in population of 65million
You work out the percentage when up to 34,000die of ordinary flu
300,000have died of cancer since lockdown
Well done Drovers for doing your bit
The staff were friendly but weren’t very attentive, the downside was we weren’t checked on at all and wasn’t offered any extra drinks and being that it was table service only we felt rather disappointed.
Fab service fab food beautiful pub will Defo go back
Tasty food, very healthy portion sizes, lunch kept us going for the rest of the day! Gluten free offerings good, friendly efficient service.
Excellent Covid controls, friendly staff, great real ale and very dog friendly
Great service and good food thanks we enjoyed the meal very much
Great food, decent portion sizes and the Covid considerations made us feel very safe
Good food and good service particularly recommend the sticky toffee pudding
Lovely staff and very quick service. Sunday roast was delicious!
Great Sunday lunch but woukd have preferred that an old school pudding and custard was on the desserts menu I. E. Jam roly poly, treacle sponge, spotted dick - all with lashings of custard!!
Fantastic night at the Drovers on Saturday. Excellent approach to COVID restrictions. Very friendly and professional staff - especially Ellie who really looked after us.
Menu and food really well thought out and delicious across the board.
Very happy and will definitely return!! I hear Sunday Lunch is one not to miss!!
We had a lovely meal with our daughter and granddaughter. The service was great as always, everyone is very friendly.
The food was cooked beautifully, but the only thing was the cost.3 of us had the chicken burger, although it was tasty, the price of a burger we thought was quite expensive.I realise it is all homemade, but thought it was a little overpriced.
It has not put us off as we have visited the restaurant previously, we will be back again.Thank you to all the staff.
