Fab Sunday lunch as always
Wonderful meal, great service. The team were welcoming and knowledgable. They were attentive but not intrusive.
Food was excellent, everything came out hot and tasted excellent.
Lovely place and friendly staff.
Food quality could have been better and warmer.
Wasn’t advised at time of booking there was a separate Al Fresco menu.
With two celiacs in the party they were catered for adequately however.
A fantastic family meal. Excellent food and local beer in the wonderful tipi outside area. Recommended!
Came here with 4 friends for my Birthday lunch, we all enjoyed the lunch and atmosphere of the place the staff were attentive and very pleasant.
The food was excellent and service was attentive without being intrusive.
The portions were good and the food was hot
Outstanding pub, service, food and location just perfect.
Great food, delicious roast dinner. Service tends to be slow however
Second visit and standards and quality just as good as the first time, will go again
No muscles when ordered yet saw customer with muscles on way out. No fruit for any of gins I ordered. Buttermilk chicken very dry. Rest OK.
Great food, lovely setting, friendly staff. We will be back :)
Second time m & my partner have ate here while being away for the weekend an will be going back. Lovely food, staff & atmosphere.
Great atmosphere Fantastic food and the staff were excellent
Really enjoyed our meals but there 2as very little steak in tbe pie and for me who's birthday it was if you not a fan of curry there is not much els. I did have a salad but it was all rocket so very overpowering . I've love to see a vegan mac and cheese or vegan Lasagne on the menu. I'd even show the chef how to make a tasty version x
Amazing food! Beautiful pub with lots of atmosphere. Fantastic waiting staff.
We've been before and will be returning!!
The outdoor dining pods are superb!
It was great, we sat outside in a cabin. Service was very prompt and friendly. We all had sandwiches, which were excellent, and chips to share. Really good value, great bread with lovely salad and coleslaw.
The food was good but hot chicken on Caesar salad melted the salad. Not a very warm welcome from barman or the waiter. The young girl who brought the food was lovely, very welcoming. The tables are trestle so very hard to manoeuvre when you have a dodgy hip!
Really good food and service , lovely little setting . Will be back soon .
Excellent service. The food is excellent too.
Great place to eat.
We had a lovely meal which was delicious. The staff were very attentive but not intrusive. Would recommend.
A very nice country pub with excellent food, atmosphere & enthusiastic staff!
I would highly recommend.
I loved the outside huts. I found the staff polite and my food was incredible. My date found his lamb a little dry and he found the heater didn’t give off enough heat. (I felt okay) some bigger heaters during the winter months would be great.
I’ll definitely be back.
Had the sea bass with mussels and King prawns in a sauce. Was very bland.
Service don't communicate different waiters keep coming over asking the same questions.
Steak and chips looked good.
We attended the Drovers with my son and his fiancé. I’d booked a couple of weeks ago and managed to get the date wrong. Even though busy the manager accommodated us and we were served immediately. Could have been very embarrassing. Food was great and the real ale was in fine form.
Eaten a few times at The Drovers have to say that today’s food experience was very much below par, we had been advised that there was a few meal options not available upon arrival and whilst this is not unusual at the latter stage of a Bank holiday (5pm) to be then offered a “alfresco menu” that has fewer meal choices than the “lunch and evening” menu and not made aware of the available alternatives on there seemed peculiar.
The meals we did order (party of 5) only 3 of the starters and 3 of the main meals were adequate and 2 of each course were somewhat unacceptable.
All that said the staff were accommodating and apologetic and our final bill was amended to reflect our experience although it would certainly not have us rushing back and that is a real shame as we live relatively close to the Drovers and previously would have been a local pub/restaurant of choice.
Portions are huge, lovely food. A bit light on Vegan options only one choice which was Thai curry which I’m not a fan of. Hubbies food was great.
Can’t fault them
Had the family come visit so we booked for our lunch.
Staff was very friendly and good was lovely.
Pre wedding venue viewing meal with family
Food was gorgeous, staff were polite, friendly and respectful! Will be back for sure
Lovely food and atmosphere :-) Thankyou for a lovely evening x
Service was very slow
Many things on menu unavailable- should really inform of this when handing menus out
Burger quite dry
Food used to be excellent but has recently become lacking in flavour. Mine also had some dry and over cooked elements. Hopefully the kitchen side will get sorted out.
It was wonderful, but didn’t like the music it did not seem conducive to the lovely pub did not create the right ambiance other than that it was fabulous & the staff were amazing! Thank you!
A welcoming dog friendly pub. Good food. Friendly staff
Our worst meal to The Drovers Arms..
we really rate it here… especially on a Sunday for Sunday lunch… so this is so disappointing
Not sure if a different chef works on Saturdays but food was average which is not usual as we generally really rate the food here.
Service was the worst we’ve had… particularly from a young female member of the team who was sarcastic and surly. The guy in charge outside is always pleasant but the rest have no idea… need to bring kids food out first… would’ve thought this was obvious but apparently not… and please clear table throughout meal (glasses, cutlery, etc…) Everything was a bit of an effort for us and the staff!!! when going inside to use the toilets all staff stood around having a chat…. No urgency and certainly not hospitable.
We’ve booked a table of 9 in 2 weeks time and I am considering cancelling as it’s for my sons birthday and I want it to be special.
Really sad as we always love coming here but the staff on this occasion clearly wanted to be elsewhere.
Outstanding food and service, if I was to offer any critique it would be the young waitress could of been improved in her manner however food and head waiters excellent
Friendly welcoming staff, prompt table service, tasty well presented food (sharing fish platter) very enjoyable lunch.
Great food but please stop serving microscopic amounts of mushy peas with the fish and chips in silly thimbles same size and amount as the tartare sauce.
Caesar salad was great but put the hot chicken on the side rather than wilting the salad by putting it on top, tiny issues but would improve the meals immensely
Use this pub quite often, service is normally quite slow.
As usual, a great meal all round in this lovely country pub
