Brought my partner here for a late birthday treat. As always the food was amazing. We had the smoked cod roe and the sardines to start. Followed by the roast beef and pork. The beef was perfectly pink and tasted great. The pork was juicy and tasty!! Thoroughly enjoyed it all!!

Opened just before Covid so never had a chance to go there before. Plenty of space inside with good distancing and also a huge ornate marquee outside. Very good service throughout. Portions were of a sensible size of where you didn't leave anything on the plate but were certainly enough to leave you full. Had the roast goat as a main and it was superb. Stone floors internally and although noise level a little raised not materially. As a diabetic would have preferred something like cheese and biscuits for desert rather than all deserts. Menu certainly varied and will definitely be going back again. Pricing I would say is mid range but definitely not lumpy, price already included service charge.

A hidden gem in Woking in the building of the former Mayford Arms. Top notch food at great prices with very attentive/courteous service. Fresh fish expertly cooked; menu has steak, chateaubriand, burgers and veggie options too. Lovely setting too with covered sail and repurposed horse trailers outside seating. Better than GuildfordCobham Ivy? You decide!!

Excellent food which was very good value ( We had the set menu)… although we did splash out on some very good wines too!
The service was outstanding. We were given excellent advice about menu and wine choices, and felt that nothing was too much.

Very nice set lunch, the menu was also refreshingly a bit different to other pubs locally, offering different main course options such as Halibut, Goat, Cornish Pouting and
Rabbit at a reasonable price.

A lovely experience, could not have faulted anything. Just what was needed on a Friday afternoon after a busy four days at work. All staff members were pleasant and efficient. Will definitely be going back.

This is a really interesting and enterprising fixed price lunch menu which represents great value for money. I didn't think the service was quite as enthusiastic and welcoming as it has been on some other visits, but I would cheerfully recommend this place to anyone and will certainly be going again soon...

We did not eat outside as it was windy.
A varied menu which suited all our party. The artichoke was good especially with lobster butter. The goat was very tender but the vegetables we not too special. Delicious Black Forest
sundae. A good dining experience as always. We are regular diners

The tempting and not run-of-the-mill menu (no bagged salad leaves or superfluous drizzles) fulfilled its promise with unusual dishes beautifully balanced and attractively presented - a real taste treat. My cold soup take on gazpacho had finely-diced ingredients, was a good quantity and had the warm, crisp cheese straw as the perfect complement. The selection for me was ideal for lunch-time, and vegetarian food is the way to go, but addicted meat-lovers might regret their limited choice of only two of the nine mains, plus steaks at supplements. The dining-room was light and welcoming with a whole row of pretty flowers at window height, and the tables nicely spaced. The staff were cheery and friendly, but I do hope that on my next visit they will have been trained in the rudiments of table service, and that the drinks ordered immediately we sat down will not take ages to arrive, and that mask-wearing of all members will be consistent.

What a difference 12 days made..........
Our first visit was splendid in every way, so much so I took another couple back 12 days later.
Indifferent ambiance so we asked to change tables, unprofessional staff, cold plates and the food presentation was not a patch on my previous visit, very sad as it all started so well.

Pleasant surroundings, good food and wine. Far too much Covid paranoia. Could understand the waiter better if he took off the stupid, ineffective and self-damaging mask

We ate with friends who have eaten there with us before. We all enjoyed the current Menu and, with the exception of one choice of Mussels that could not be met, we all enjoyed our different dishes.
Service is attentive and prompt and the quality of ingredients is reassuring. It is one of our favourite places to eat.

Really enjoyed coming here for the first time and will definitely come again. Mainly a food destination (rather than a pub for a beer), with a lovely garden too. Nice decor inside. Food was good, service was very good and attentive. We didn’t have a starter, because the desserts looked so good!

Lovely decor and overall ambience let down by multiple flies in the windows and on food served. Blaring too fast jazz music not conducive to relaxed dining. Food was a let down, the double cheese burgers were over done and dry without any moisture. Side salad was strange and the risotto was overly greasy. The dessert was served with a fly on it which was changed for another one. Overall feel let down and déforment overcharged for what was served to us.

Very attentive and helpful, food very good lovely selection. I am disabled, second time I have visited this restaurant, I’m not absolutely sure I would go back, because:

A, There are no handrails on the long winding slope, of which there is greenery growing over the lower back of the extremely well built brick wall, and
B, there is only ONE disabled parking bay, a long walk for a disabled person from the bottom of the slope, BUT more importantly there are 2 parking spaces, adjacent to the slope, and I ask why aren’t they designated disabled parking bays, I was told they are for the Director, I asked is that person disabled and the answer was no. I think very bad form, for that reason I would have to think twice about going.

As I said above everything about the restaurant is superb.

Yet again another great lunch at Drumming Snipe. Shown to table immediately as soon as we walked in the door. It was a very hot day and we sat in part of restaurant that had air conditioning. Service as always was excellent and great choice of set menu. You can have two or three courses. All food beautifully presented and very fresh. Suppliers deliver daily.
Great selection of wines. Highly recommend.

Fabulous service from start to finish. Great atmosphere, sitting outside on a lovely summers evening. The terrace is lovely with the covered area and lights. The menu was great, and the food delicious. Was great to see British produce being well thought out and promoted. Time between courses was slightly longer than expected but that was not a bad thing - gives time to enjoy surroundings and the wine! We will be returning, especially for the set lunch menu.

Food was generally excellent and, having chosen to eat outside, it's not the restaurant's fault that there are flies around - so beware of that. The Carmanere we had was very bland - about the only black mark.

They have done an excellent job with the decor and the service is always good but it would be good to see an expansion of the dinner menu, now that things are opening up. A lot of the main dishes are probably more appropriate for colder weather (Shepherds Pie, Rabbit ragout etc). But the food is nicely prepared and tastes good.
